10 DAYS LATER AND STILL NO MEDS

I ordered an urgently needed medication for my pet on April 7th with an April 8th delivery option. 4 DAYS LATER I get a text saying that the medication is out of stock and will be available to ship in 1-3 business days. It has now been 10 DAYS since my order was confirmed and I haven’t received so much as an update. This is totally unacceptable for a medication that could be the difference between the life and death of my pet.

Paid $25.00 for "next day delivery"…

Paid $25.00 for "next day delivery" since my cat needed her meds ASAP and after 3 days medication has not arrive. All I get is excuses and refund denial from customer service.

Delayed pain medication by a week and indifferent customer service . Had to go back in person to my vets office. Mixlab is a major inconvenience

Web Subscription Service 1st. Vet Pharmacy 2nd.

The service is mostly friendly and convenient, but their website is awful and unresponsive. The design is pretty, but clicking buttons often doesn't work, logging in is impossible some days (especially from your phone) and clicking on the links provided in emails and texts typically lead to the incorrect page on their site. This can be extremely frustrating when trying to edit or cancel an order before they charge you and ship it.

My cat no longer needs her meds, so I clicked the link Mixlabs SENT me via text to cancel my order. The text literally says "visit [link] to delay your order." There was a SINGLE button on that page to turn off all auto-ships and I clicked it. I watched my auto-ships get grayed out (including the one they sent the reminder about) and I even checked my orders and it said there was nothing upcoming. Since there were no other cancellation options on the cancellation page MixLabs SENT ME, I figured it was cancelled. Nope. The next day, my card got charged $78 and when I called, they said there's nothing they can do. When I visited the page AGAIN, my auto-ships were on AGAIN and I had to turn them off AGAIN.

Managing auto-ships also seems to be hidden from the main navigation and only accessible via the reminders they send you. Feels like it's intentionally difficult to find so that you can't cancel. Which is exactly what happened to me. They make it really hard to log-in, adjust your order, cancel your order or do much of anything besides make payments.

This isn't the first time I've had issues. After my cat's first month on new meds, it was determined she only needed half the original prescribed dose. So, I tried to log in and delay my auto-ship by a month. I couldn't log in and kept getting stuck having to verify email. After verifying email & resetting my password 3-times, it became clear the website simply wasn't working. So, I put a reminder in my calendar for a few days later to update my auto-ship. Fortunately, MixLab sent me a friendly text reminder that I had an upcoming order. Except the "reminders" are less than 24 hours from when your order ships, so if you're not able to log-in and it's after business hours, you're kinda SOL. So, AGAIN, I was charged and sent a medication I didn't need yet. Like the amount of B.S. the customer has to do just to update an order is absurd. It made me dread logging onto their site every month.

I will say that at least you can get in touch with a real human at MixLabs. The hold time to speak to a person was relatively short (10min) and the person I spoke with was nice but unable to help me in any way. It also seems there's a real person behind their text reminders. Had I known, I simply would've texted them to cancel my order. Their customer service is above average for a web subscription service. My experience with them as a veterinary pharmacist however, was below average.

I will never do business with MixLab again though. Their website practices dark UX patterns to make life more difficult for the customer and seems designed to intentionally mislead the customer from editing orders. This is unfortunately normal practice with a lot of online subscription services. But when you're providing my pets medication, I expect a better level of customer respect and these shady UX practices are just completely unethical.

I've also read that MixLab is abusive to it's workforce and with vet and pharmacist shortages and equity firms buying up practices, I feel this company is not a good player in this industry.

There's a local compounding pharmacy in town that does medications for pets and while it's a little more costly, I'd rather not get scammed out of my money.

Truly greateful for their ethics, care and solid values.

Mixlab is a great pharmacy

Mixlab is such a great pharmacy. They are quick to respond and meds are delivered quickly and efficiently. I always receive top notch care and support from staff, and they are responsive to special needs and requests. Their auto-ship functionality helps me keep my dog’s meds organized without having to give it much thought, and they work with my vet incredibly well. I appreciate Mixlab and how much they support my chronically sick pup!

A GREAT PHARMACY

I have totally been satisfied with Mixlab. They have great customer service. I was low on a RX and I ordered online and received the medication right on time. The shipping package is great. I will continue my relationship with Mixlab's long as I am I. Need of compounding RX🐾🐾

MixLab is the best mail order pharmacy…

MixLab is the best mail order pharmacy I have dealt with. Staff answered my questions over the phone, instructions on the medication label were easy to understand, and the prednisone treats were very fresh and easy to crumble into her Churu. The leftovers from 2024 were hard, and Alice kept spitting them out. The person I spoke with even found me a discount. I was surprised at the costs of the two prescriptions, and I think the $16. handling fee is a little high. Of course, my sweet 5-year old rescue is worth every penny I spend on her to control her asthma. MixLab is number #1 in service, quality of products, and prompt attention to filling orders. Alice has enjoyed her bonus orange frog toy, too! That was a pleasant surprise and another testament to good service. Thanks again, and we will “talk” when it’s time for refills!

Practicing veterinarian recommends Mix Lab

I am a practicing veterinarian.

Over many years I’ve worked with quite a few compounding pharmacies.

I’ve never found one as streamlined and efficient as Mix lab.

It is very easy for my staff or eye to order prescriptions or renew them and then Mix Labs contacts the clients for shipping and payment information I also like that they involve the client in selecting the most palatable flavors for their pets. The clients know much more than I do with their dogs or cats would accept.

Most of the time the medication is extremely palatable and in such a low volume that the pets do not mind taking it

I’ve always been impressed at how fast my clients get their medications. it is often the very next day as opposed to other compounding pharmacies that I’ve worked with that might take a week or more to get medications to my clients.

I also feel confident with Mix Labs quality for the medications that I prescribe.

I travel for work as a relief doctor and I constantly recommend this compounding pharmacy. I’m not sure why they are not used by every practice.

Mixlab has been helping me with my dog with cancer

Mixlab has been helping me with my dogs medication for over a year. They were able to compound any medication I needed to help my dog with cancer be able to get her medications. The service was always fast and they were quick at getting back to me. I will always use them when needing medications. Thank you for your support and love to my Westie!

My avian vet recommends buying…

My avian vet recommends buying medications for my bird through Mixlab because they specially formulate them. I have no problem at all with the medications, but I do with their pushy marketing and very high prices. Then, they are very quick to want to refill medications and automatically charge your credit card when a refill is not needed.
