Such a laggy and poorly coded program:
- songs get deleted from the collection when removing from the playlist
- the sorting filter ruins the playlist as it glitches sometimes messing up the order of your playlist
- the key function isn't always accurate (which is the main function of this program...)
- scrolling through the program can be really annoying due to bugs

Conclusion: don't buy this program until they put a little more effort into their product and actually make it functional because this is tragic, paying 60$ for this was the worst thing I've ever done.

Constant database corruption errors on launch and Blue/Green screen crashes on pro features use support tells you not to use NVME drives... as they are too fast or reinstall windows its never a bug or coding issue

I am using Mixed In Key 11, and i bought it for the auto cue points. They are mostly wrong. It can't recognise the beat correctly and the cue points are mostly off beat.

Althought it's really usefull for massup ideas!

I recently purchased Mixed In Key Studio Edition, a VST plugin designed for integration within a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), not as a standalone application. Thankfully, I tested the product immediately after purchase, as it became clear that half of the application is simply non-functional.

The "clean" button is unresponsive, as are the Camelot, Sharp, and Flat buttons. I cannot switch the displayed key notation from Flat (e.g., Gb Minor) to Sharp (e.g., F# Minor) or Camelot, which severely disrupts my music production workflow.

Upon contacting support, I was told: "We are aware of the issues you mention which are caused due to MIK SE not being supported for Mac OS Tahoe yet." I responded that "Tahoe was publicly released on September 15, 2025. That was over two and a half months ago. Prior to that, Apple provided developers like you with a three-month beta cycle starting in June. 'in the coming months' is not a concrete date."

It is frankly unacceptable that a premium, paid professional tool like Mixed In Key Studio Edition is still being sold and marketed when fundamental UI elements have been broken for five months (beta plus public release). These are not complex new features; this is a basic graphic rendering failure that should have been fixed during the beta period.

I express my extreme dissatisfaction with this software. I did receive a refund, however.

I purchased the Captain plugin from them. No problems, and good DAW response. However, I asked for a refund because, although it was functional, I wasn't very satisfied with it. In 3 hours, without asking for explanations, they refunded me. This is excellent. They are honest and serious. I had to say this.

Wrong analysis on many track with my MIK 8.
Impossible to find and delete missing files.
And always pushing intrusive upgrade ads despite after sales is barely responsive and not genuinely helpful.

Their app is based on online verification, and it doesn't work with my new laptop. They always repeat "Download the software and re-install it" over and over, but no other solutions. I know how to do that.
I reported the error 3 months ago, and have got any response. Which means they sell the incomplete product.
This is the only vst that doesn't work.
Big disappointed. I'll never purchase any app with online verification, especially, their products.

I purchased the mixed in key bundle and I am unable to use it with UAD Luna. Every time I try and load up a plug in the recording software crashes. This is the only vst plugin that it happens with.

As a musician that actually has spent time studying music, I think this app is utterly useless. I bought it out of curiosity for a couple of my students. My God you can’t even figure out the key of a song? I also did stand-up comedy for 20 years of my life and I’m thinking about including this app in next act.

World Class Customer Service given by this company. I had a problem with a product I purchased from them and Andy sorted it out and went above and beyond what you would expect from a software developer

what a diligent bot. their customer service bot answering emails even on sunday. but the only answer you get from the bot is to reinstall your software or you get a link to download the last version + advice to reinstall. but surprise... it is still not working. on different computers. and then it starts again. you write status to mixed in key and they ask what version you have and of course they ask if you tried to reinstall...

My "investment" in Mixed In Key was an absolute bargain! Worth every cent if you’re a music enthusiast!
Mixed In Key has been the backbone of my musical creativity since I discovered it. I Personally utilize their software daily. The flexibility of the program has allowed me to integrate key detection in all of my songs.
Mixed in Key gave me more confidence when I am dealing with my music and creativity
I am not sure about others, But their costumer service was answering my emails even Sundays! Even to my silly questions! Everything was sorted and solved in a friendly manner very fast!
After one year, I am still amazed! I hope they will never change their way of working and communicating with people.
That's my personal experience and I hope someone will find my review helpful.

No offline support. And this for a studio edition? Only works with an ACTIVE Internet connection.
