Disappointed

We were recommended Mirage events for our wedding by Sapna caterers. A few of our family and friends had used them, and had actually recommended we don't use them as their 'decor is good, but customer service is awful.'

This is 100% true - their customer service is full of false hope and misinformation - and at no point do they provide itemised receipts. When we asked them to itemise and list prices of items for decor, they refused to do this, and said 'it's not profitable for the company' if they tell us how much individual decor items cost.

Then it came to 'wedding coordination'. We were promised excellent coordination, with 5 people with walkie talkies. We were told that no one would speak to the bride or groom, all correspondence would go through our person of contact. As a bride, I was spoken to 5 times by the head of the company, and her stressful affect definitely removed the peace of the event and peace of mind for ourselves.

We paid £1500 for wedding coordination - every single penny wasted. They did not coordinate as we wanted - they did not have tables set up until 1 hour before guests had arrived, despite having promised to do this earlier in the morning.

When I asked them to help me with my seating plan, they managed to avoid it, and then changed my seating plan at the last minute, mixing up close relatives and close friends without consulting me.

They were rude and disrespectful to my other vendors, and they were extremely patronising to my sister in law.

Absolutely do not recommend Mirage events - go with another company, unless you want to be ripped off, made part of a moneymaking scheme and utterly disappointed by their services.

Hi Iz

Came across your review, I am very dissappointed that you have felt this way towards Mirage Events UK.

Firstly you mentioned you were recommended by family and freinds and that you dont use us as the decor is good but customer service is awful. On this point you seem a bit confused and are not making any sense.

We provide a package price of all the items you want on your event, due to the bulk discount tp the package we cannot individually give you an itemised price of each items as customers then start to pick and choose the items they dont want and expect the same bulk discount to be applied as they opt not to go with the package.

We delivered as to what was agreed with you, we did not give any false hopes. You wanted us to to coordinate your wedding day with suppliers, vendors etc. We had 5 people onsite coordinating your event on the day. Things were not organised by yourself prior to the wedding day. On the day there was too much going on for the space of time you had. From the morning registry to the evening dinner. The person you had allocated was clueless and the brides dad or grooms dad kept over ruling everything and wanted things his was way. This is what I call a typical asian wedding. What you wanted and what a wedding coordinator does as a job are two different things. Our director who was at your event is not of the nature of her being stressed and stressing the bride or groom. Tables were set up on time as you mentioned 1 hour before the event. Our job is decorating the venue and tables, our job is not to lay out the tables or to place them according to the seating plan, this is the cateres job who had done what you had asked them too. We helped you with your seating plan where you had left your family members incharge and they made the mistakes and we get blamed for this.

As it goes for your other vendors! Your florist was a complete joke he had come in a lorry with his wife and daughter. He clearly did not have enough man power through out the day, who was making everyone run late, I cant beleive he had the odasity to complain about us when we were only people helping him, that is was you call unprofessional and unconsiderate. And please tell me who the other vendors were???? You feel disappointed and ripped off as you wanted everything and did not want to pay the premium for them, you paid for our services and everything as agreed was delivered. Putting the blame on us is not nice especially when my director went out of her way for you both and in return you have this to say about our services.
