I booked a personal styling appointment…

I booked a personal styling appointment in the MV York store and attended yesterday.

On arrival Julie greeted me warmly and immediately offered me refreshments. She took me upstairs and explained how the appointment would work.

Filling my completion of an online form Julie had already selected a few items for me to try on. She then suggested we walk round the store( The York one is in a beautiful old building and is so light and airy with a grand staircase,it’s worth a visit just for a look).

Julie spent almost 1.5 hours with me and stressed that there was no rush and she wanted for me to fully enjoy the experience.

I bought a small capsule wardrobe- 5 items and am thrilled with my purchases. Without Julie’s help and advice I wouldn’t have tried in many of the items.

A great experience which I hope to repeat in the future.

Mint Velvet is a fantastic brand

Mint Velvet is a fantastic brand with superb customer service if there is ever an issue. I would recommend them without hesitation.
I had a return I sent via Evri and it was still not with MV a week later and looked stuck when tracked. Customer service were superb and refunded me immediately. Talia in customer care was so polite and helpful.

Special shout out to Talia, for her excellent customer service skills, very friendly and professional and quick to resolve an issue I had with regards to the re:loved vouchers, on more than one occasion, thank you. Still love Mint Velvet after years of buying their items, and loving the re:loved idea which means I can get money off when I trade in old for something new, excellent.

Poor experience in Leeds

Poor experience in Leeds.
I was hoping to buy the long sleeved black sequin jacket top with white bow. I could only find size medium in store so I tried that on, loved it, but a bit on the big side for me. I tried on another style top in small. This established that I needed small in the sequin jacket.
A member of staff (dark hair in bunch) helped and checked her tablet and said there was a small in store. She said I’ll go and get it from the store room. Great!
Except that as she turned to go to the store to fetch it another customer asked her if the shop would match the 15% off on items on-line. The assistant said she could give 10%. The customer said that’s not enough and she’d buy it on line. Astonishingly the assistant then said she’d go and talk to the someone else so all thought of fetching my item from the store forgotten, without a word to me stood like a lemon, she then took the lady to the tills and entered into conversation there with other staff.
Plain rude.
I left. Sale lost. Future custom lost. I spend money where I’m valued.
Surely you don’t abandon your first customer in favour of a second customer. Other staff around, no need for this.

Mint Velvet Is One Of My Favourite Shops.

Hi. I attended the Styling Event in Aberdeen. And I had a great time choosing what I wanted to buy after one of the staff modelling for us quite a few gorgeous clothes and shoes. I bought four items that I will be using for our holiday. Thank you so much for the staff that assisted me while I was trying some clothes. And for the girls from the till and took my order for me. Mint Velvet is one of my favourite shops. And I hope it’ll stay in ABERDEEN for a long time. Thank you and hope to see you again soon x.

Excellent customer service

I accidentally mixed up two return QR codes and sent Mint Velvet an Adanola return and vice versa. Mint Velvet have been amazing. They let me know about the error and returned the items to me. Adanola has been pretty useless. Despite supplying the order number, the Royal Mail tracking details and an exact description of the box and item I sent to them in error they haven't been able to help me at all. It's amazing how the customer service for one retailer, at similar price points, could be so different from another.
