A truly 5star support
I've purchased licenses from Minitab, to bad I had to go to an (Expensive) reseller to get a one year subscription. The support from Minitab when have problems is really amazing. As a Business Application Manager, I rarely get support that good of quality as from Minitab. A truly 5star support

Only good if your company pays for it or you have enough billable hours for using MTB
This is a business model departure from my MTB18. I am an independent consultant on Composites. My clients either have MTB or some other stats program, SPC etc. So, I really use MTB. Recently, I was asked to work on a project by a start up, sansTB. The project may last 3 months or 3 years. I have decided to buy a one year subscription, which costs 2x the price of owning MTB18. Plus, I have to learn a lot of new steps required for on-line work, which I do not need. Having been a user since MTB13, I expected some respect. On the positive side, the on-line help is much improved as well as the tech help. I might go dormant after the first year and wait for a real project before I sign up again.

Aggressive price increases at cost of…
Aggressive price increases at cost of customer.
We have been using Minitab since years. And this year, Minitab decided to move from perpetual+floating licenses to annual+named licenses. The impact of this change is huge for us, and we have been pushed into the corner to accept this. Prices have quadrupled, and sales show no understanding or care to keep us satisfied, but to increase their revenue.
I had to get the licenses this year, but I won't play the same game next year.
