We celebrated wedding at Mimino

We celebrated wedding at Mimino in Copenhagen, and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant offers fantastic food, warm and welcoming service, and a truly special atmosphere. The dishes are beautifully prepared and full of flavour, and the selection of excellent Georgian wines is outstanding. The owner Iraklii Sharashydze is amazing, genuinely passionate, attentive, and deeply involved in making every guest feel at home.
The waiters are attentive and positive.
I highly recommend Mimino to anyone looking for an exceptional and heartfelt dining experience in Copenhagen.

Allow an authentic Georgian cuisine to surpass your taste buds

If you're looking for something truly special in Copenhagen, Mimino is a must-visit. Located centrally in Østerbro, this place is easy to reach by metro, bus or ever S train.

Mimino is Denmark’s first-ever Georgian restaurant, and everything about it feels genuinely authentic, as they use traditional recipes and ingredients. I have been travelling to Georgia and I can say that food is not only as great as in Georgia, some things even tastes better. You can tell that this isn't fusion or an interpretation — it's the real thing, with a very well paired selection of traditional and natural Georgian wines.

I visited the restaurant with friends and family. We tried different dishes to share and we were recommended to take best-selling and most popular dishes from the menu which were khachapuri megruli and khachapuri adjaruli (cheese breads) as well as khinkali dumplings — both handmade and incredibly flavorful, khachapuri cheese was favourable, and khinkali full of juicy broth. We did not plan on any starters, but waiter recommended that we try badrijani eggplant rolls with traditional walnut paste, which was an amazing starter for the meal. We also took grilled pork and chicken mtsvadi (shashlik) with grilled vegetables, which were very juicy.

We were also very lucky as they finally started making traditional Georgian cheeses from local danish milk, and it was fantastic taste, just like in Georgia, and we had it paired with red Kvareli wine. We took it with red sauce (I think it is called satsebeli), and it was an explosion of flavours.

In overall we have had a really good experience and a delicious dinner. You really feel like you're being invited to someone’s home where staff was extremely welcoming and helpful with dishes selection.

In my opinion Mimino is a very authentic restaurant which I waited a long time to open to try something new in Copenhagen, as I am quite tired of traditional Italian pasta, pizza, or burgers. So this was a refreshing experience and I am definitely coming back.
