Excellent service! Found them a very efficient & professional company! highly recommend them! Big thanks to Jan too!
I employed Millrock to build a one-bedroom unit for my 70-year-old mother, after a recommendation. My relationship and dealings with Millbrook started off great and maintained as such until the final payment was made to them to finish off works when the company director Sofoclis decided to send me an email to say he was walking off the job with 7hr notice, and this came out of the blue.
He failed to deliver what we had contractually agreed and this included the schedule/budget to what I assume was him hiring absolutely terrible laborers/subcontractors who made so many mistakes and had no sense of pride in their work or didn't actually have the right skillset in the first place...cheap labor to pocket more cash probably, and this showed. Needless to say that all of these errors meant that Millrock had to correct the work and it started costing them and they decided it was best for employees to take shortcuts to make the work look decent, but in fact, it wasn't at closer inspection. I have whats-app convos to also back this up.
However, instead of finding quality people in the first place, or fixing the endless issues, I came to find out that Sofoclis, the "M.D" for Millrock, was instructing builders he had employed to take shortcuts by laying floors without piping, unsecured kitchen units and damaged materials I had paid for that should have been replaced, however, were not, etc; and all this was so it looked to me, the client, and building regs, that the jobs were done and he could keep being paid without scrutiny. In fact, one message exchange between him and a now ex-employee showed that Sofoclis the M.D of Millrock London compromised my build from being signed off by building regs and also presented a health and safety issue due to not lack of due care and attention or caring about a doing a good job, which came last to his margins.
I have paid £95k in full, for labour, materials, and a complete job, he canceled all the materials, which he hasn't refunded nor has the material turned up as he canceled and pocketed the cash. The state my property has been left in is non-desirable and this is now costing me further money to correct.
To make matters worse, he was contracted to also do a manhole re-allocation, front wall, and patio, his team did that all incorrectly, the patio foundation was piled up, so high that the level went beyond the damp proofing course, which would damage my property every time it rains, the patio was so uneven and I have what's app messages showing that Sofoclis the M.D of Millrock of London telling one of the builders to come up with a story to distance Millrock London from taking responsibility, so he wasn't sued.
I have now reported him and his company for fraud and theft after paying him for materials and labor, which have failed to materialise, and Sofoclis the M.D of Millrock London, failed to deliver on our agreed contract.
It's sad that companies like this exist, but if you are going to employ this company, I would advise you to look at Millrock Londons, Companies House profile and see how many times this guy has gone bankrupt, shut shop, and re-opened under a tweaked name. This tells me I am not the first to have been stung, but let's try and make this the last. Also, check their social media/website as it's full of flags inc stock pics of other people's work and some dubiously repetitive 8 also pics of work he is trying to insinuate his company has done. on the website, I noticed all the pics are outdoors with his company sign hanging off scaffolding, which likely means it was gorilla advertising for Millrock London to give the impression of them being a big reputable company, lastly, Millrock London doesn't seem to belong to or registered with any governing bodies or regulators within the building trade, this should raise more concerns. I should have done my due diligence. I took it for granted that I had nothing to worry about and was dealing with professionals, so I was in safe hands as they came as a referral from a nonconsumer.
I have the pictures and messages to back all of my statements, Sofoclis seems to have disabled this feature, so clients cannot upload the great work he claims to stand by. However, you can view most of the pics of the work he didn't finish and screenshots of messages on google review.
UPDATE: Since posting this review, Sofoclis the MD of Millrock London got in touch and made idol threats of legal action. He told me to take the review down and I said once he paid my money back for materials/labour I paid for in full and did not receive, because of his disappearing act. After all the threats he sent an apology the next morning, with no mention of monies owed to me or the materials. He then wrote the desperate reply below to try and control the narrative.

I emailed about getting a quote on 29 November and had completed works by 13th December. After having severe delays prior to getting in touch with this company I am happy with the efficiency they managed to do the job and the quality of the plastering and painting. I also was happy with the communication I received from management.
I recently used Millrock to do some home renovation and I am very pleased with the professional service they provided. They did a great job and completed the work in time and for the price they said.
Sofoclis is very professional and did not hesitate to come see the property over the weekend, during his time off. I’d definitely recommend Millrock as they seem easy to deal with and reliable.
All residents did not agree to go with the Millrock quotation however Sofoclis was very friendly and professional. All initial communication was very prompt and if the decision was only down to me, I would have been happy to proceed with Millrock.
Highly recommend
Have used twice now
Both times efficient professional polite clean and tidy
Not cheap but quality work

These are the worst builders there re plastered a room which is cracking every where after force drying it
they neglected to paint inside any of the cupboard doors let alone the cupboards fitted another set of doors that they made but never finished started the hallway and walked off site after demanding 80% payment and are holding materials that I paid for
And the only hostile environment was them demanding money for work not done but we will let the courts decide
have a nice day

My wife and I were super impressed with Millrock.
Unlike other agencies, After having an initial call to discuss what we were after, they presented us with a full document full of ideas and drawings before we’d even engaged them.
We’d gone to several other agencies for a quote at the same time, and Millrock were the only ones to do this.
We then had a lengthy follow up call with a senior architect who discussed our plans and options with them.
We would definitely recommend Millrock.
Extremely professional and efficient delivery of my project. Will be using your team for future projects without a shadow of doubt! Highly recommended for top end projects with reasonable budgets
