When will I ever learn to look on Trust pilot before ordering!
Almost a quarter are very negative reviews, so that would have dissuaded me.
I ordered the happy birthday cookie for my son. Its arrived today damaged, as its either not packaged adequately, the courier didn't take care with it, or both. I contacted customer service straight away and they offered my a voucher for cookies in store. Sorry but no. Under UK law you should be offering a refund or replacement of the damaged item that is not satisfactory quality.
I have now been told that it's their full and final offer and to contact my local trading standards.
This company will go down the pan, I am sure, as quality and customer service are completely inadequate.
Avoid ordering online for delivery!!!
Absolute disgrace. Delivery service is a joke.Customer service non existent.
Still waiting for a reply a week later. Shame because the cookie was alright.
Avoid cookie delivery at all cost.
Ordered online for a Monday delivery for someone’s birthday. This arrived on the Saturday, two days before it was wanted and stated that it was signed for. It was not signed for and left on the doorstep for two days as we were away for the weekend.
Raised this complaint with them and apparently they met the order within their terms and conditions accepted at checkout.
I did not accept it to be delivered two days early and stale. Also a complete lie from the delivery that I signed for it, when it was left on the doorstep all weekend!
Was advised to contact trading standards if I have any further complaint.
Don’t bother leaving feedback that you’ll look into the poor delivery as you have done on so many negative reviews, you’ll continue to offer poor service.
I will never order from this place again after many years of collecting orders from them. The prices have sky rocketed and the quality of the product has deteriorated massively.
Avoid them at all cost. Over priced and do not care one bit about customer service or satisfaction.
Zero stars. I ordered my birthday cookie a month in advance so it could arrive on my birthday without any issues. I checked the delivery updates on the day of my birthday and it says delivery for another working day. What am I suppose to do with that? I rang the office to see if made a mistake and I didn't. I told them to refund me but they said I should wait until it gets delivered then refuse it then they will check if I qualify for a refund. Waste of time and money. WORST Birthday! I set the bar so low of my birthday and still got disappointment. Never again!
I’m really disappointed with my recent order from Millie’s Cookies.
I specifically selected a delivery date of Monday for a birthday (Tuesday), but the cookie was delivered two days early on Saturday. This completely defeated the purpose of choosing a delivery date in the first place.
What’s more frustrating is that by the time of his birthday, the cookie was already on day 4 of its 5-day freshness window — which does impact the quality for a special occasion.
Customer service acknowledged my complaint but ultimately refused to offer any resolution, stating that delivery dates are only “estimated” and may arrive “slightly earlier.” In my case, two days early is not “slightly” and this was never made clear at checkout.
I also asked for the complaint to be escalated and never received a response.
If delivery dates cannot be relied upon, this should be clearly stated before purchase, otherwise customers are being misled.
Really disappointing experience, especially for something meant to celebrate a child’s birthday.
Dreadful, giant cookie arrived badly damaged and broken, partly squashed and part of the wording illegible, what a waste of money. Very dissatisfied won't be ordering again
We ordered 3 crêpes, 2 coffees, 1 hot chocolate, and 1 pain au chocolat. The total bill was 35 euros, which I paid by Visa credit card. At the time of payment, the transaction was not processed immediately, despite it being a Monday during normal business hours. One day later, the transaction was processed as a delayed transaction for 68.30 euros, almost double the agreed amount. In addition, the staff member did not offer us a receipt or a credit card payment confirmation, which is a violation of legal requirements. I request an explanation for this discrepancy and a prompt refund of the overcharged amount.
Ordered a large double cookie for my son several weeks in advance. Picked up from Braehead shop a week ago at the earliest time. Family celebration the day and the cookie was very hard.
Raised this immediately to Millie’s who don’t want to help as no one else had any issues with that batch??? Because no one else had an issue, or had similar experiences and raised it means I pay £27 for a terrible product?
Had an unexpected stop at Glasgow Fort store.
Disappointed does not even come close!
Purchased 4 mixed flavour cookies, they were so small and so thin that when removed from the bag, they promptly fell apart! Had originally bought them as a little treat for my daughter who is currently in hospital! Safe to say, I did not give her them! Waste of money & wont be returning! Do better @milliescookies
DHL said the delivery was refused which is untrue and it is absolutely impossible to get through to Millie’s cookies customer service.
Ordered a large cookie from Millie’s Cookies for my daughter’s 18th birthday and it was lovely. It tasted really fresh, looked great, and made the occasion extra special. Everyone enjoyed it—would definitely order again.
I order for my kids birthdays every year! Amazing cookie cakes !
Day 3 no cookie and no refund. I did get an email saying the week old cookie it's late and I. It's way. After I told them it's no longer needed. And still no refund. Definitely order from somewhere else
The cookie was so delicious I picked it up from London Paddington and took it with me to Norfolk for a family members birthday after a whole day of travelling the cookie tasted amazing like it was freshly made. The workers were super friendly and the overall experience was great!
It was supremely easy to order and I was able to get next day delivery even on a Saturday
It arrived in beautiful condition an hour before DPD said it would. A huge relief.
I rated 1 star, for the fact their delivery service is not suitable for delivering to a business, as you know majority of businesses close at 5pm. And using a company as DHL to deliver fresh food goods it's just a bad choice all together. When they specialised to deliver big or small parcels from what not company. I am blaming the Millie's Cookies for this bad choice. I will never order again from you guy's. PS: (the cookie will not arrive in time for the business hour's, and DHL will probably keep it on a dusty shelf or van till they will redeliver!)
Ordered online, unaware that further customisations weren’t available unless ordered in store (called my nearest store to make changes after the internet order). Not made clear on website.
The cookie cake was delicious and fresh.
I have ordered from Millie's Cookies online for a lot of years now and also been a regular customer instore. We often order their cookie cakes since my partner prefers them to shop bought birthday cakes.
For his birthday I tried something different and ordered a selection of cookies, so we could have several flavours rather than just the one cake flavour.
Unfortunately it never arrived - it was due on Wednesday 8th and due to poor service from DHL did not come as planned. I have never had this issue from Millie's Cookies before. However, it was quite easy to get in contact with them to let them know.
The customer service person was very responsive, and offered another replacement or a full refund. I opted for the latter and it was actioned straight away.
Although over the years of ordering from here, we have never had a problem, I (and other family members) have had this issue with DHL. I would suggest that Millie's Cookies check the reviews on DHL which are all similar to my personal experience and choose an alternative logistics partner - one which is more reliable.
As a side note, Millie's Cookies did let me know that DHL marked my parcel as missing in transit. I have yet to hear this from DHL themselves, but their tracking just keeps adding a business day at a time (currently waiting for it to arrive on Tuesday 14th April....).
Would be 5* if it weren't for Millie's Cookies choice of delivery partner - the only let down really.
