One of the worst purchases we have ever made: Miller 'London' Bathroom suite
We bought a Miller 'London' Bathroom suite from a local bathroom shop December 2020. Ex display and had 45% off. Suite included: Oak Wall unit, Double sink unit, matching double mirror fronted above sink vanity cupboard. Cost of the suite was £3042.52 inc VAT so it was expensive but we thought would be quality treat which would last.
Advertised on line as 'Quality that lasts both the eye and the test of time' with 'durable fittings; and 'high quality in execution'
Feb 2023: Part of the side of the wall hung unit seemed to be a different colour ? cause we asked for advice - bathroom shop contacted Miller's they said? sunlight but our bathroom is north facing and no sun comes into the bathroom plus the colour has darkened. We left it to wait and see what happens>.. it remains unchanged ? cause
Jan. 2024: one of the vanity unit mirrors slipped off into my one hand as I opened it. Both my husband and I were standing at the sinks. Really frightening as to the harm it could have caused. Bathroom company contacted Miller's and after some weeks and continual discussion/persuasion they sent replacement mirror doors for all 4 mirrors but did not acknowledge the safety risk and the fittings look exactly the same. We remain very concerned that our safety is at risk.
September 2024 Now one of the sink basins has three hair line cracks in it. My husband fills the sink to shave as is usual for men, (of note we had had our water thermostat temperature lowered for cost savings reasons on the water heater).
Millers have appeared to be very reluctant to help and not taken the above seriously. From our experience this bathroom suite which was expensive and advertised to be a high quality item we believe is not fit for purpose.
One of the worst purchases we have ever made especially given the cost.
