Last time I went to Midas in…

Last time I went to Midas in Haverstraw, it was a good experience. Was taken, without appointment, for a car inspection. Service was quick and accommodating. Now that my wife needed her car inspected I decided to go there again. This time, even though they had no business going on at the time, I was told to make an appointment for 2 hours later so I did. When I did get it done though, the crook charged me $37 for a $10 inspection. The dummy gave me the wrong receipt and I paid cash so I didn't go back for a refund. Guess it's a weekend thing, but was nothing like when I went their last time. I was just charged $10 that time.

Midas Lafayette, IN

I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars! My virtually brand new Buick Envision went in for an oil change. A little over a week later it stopped working. The issue discovered was brake fluid in the engine. An analysis was ran of the fluid by my insurance company. This error ruined my engine and I was informed I need a new engine. My vehicle was serviced there last and not a soul had done any maintenance on it after them.
Called Midas and I will say the people who work in the store were nice. The regional Adam West was rude and condescending. Do not bring your car there unless you have money to blow on a new engine!

Midas has always provided fast and affordable service. They diagnose and recommend repairs only for the most necessary work. Angie and Mike at Midas in Anchorage at Northern Lights always provide excellent customer service. They always go above and beyond to ensure they provide the best service possible. My family and I will always go to Midas in Anchorage at 711 Northern Light.

I had called this company about a Check engine light on in my vehicle, before I could even finish my sentence 3 seconds into the conversation, the person on the phone was very rude, and dismissive. Straight said nope and wouldn't listen, I would not recommend this place.

605 Kept Our Car Alive

Tyler, Gabe, and the other personnel members (one of whom is a Master Technician with 25 years experience) over at #605 - the 2390 East Dorothy Lane Dayton Ohio location - demonstrated patience, commitment, thoroughness and attention to detail in isolating the issues which had left my vehicle without the use of the heater/ AC features for quite some time. Thank You, Men.

Don't even pass by them

Don't even pass by them.
- They said we'll handle it immediately, 3 hours later,
- They seem very professional when talking but are technically very weak,
- I contacted the company headquarters, they don't care,
- They ruined the vehicle's record, causing me to sell it for a lower price months later (my vehicle had service in New Jersey and cannot be changed in Carfax records),
- They didn't even apologize out of politeness,
- I highly, highly recommend this disgusting service experience.

All sorts of issues, using the lift improperly, overcharged

I used my local Midas in Torrington, Connecticut for a simple fix. I asked to get something from my car and the manager on duty allowed me to go up into my car WHILE IT WAS ON THE LIFT to get something out of the center console. After all of this Midas charged me for over 4 hours of labor when they only had my car of 2 hours an 10 minutes in total. When I called the manager of the facility he informed me that his staff was so good at their job that if they get it done in half the Time that they should be paid double the hourly rate as a flat rate... if thats the case then why do you quote "labor hours"?. I asked him if he was willing to accept the liability of his worker performing the task in less time than quoted. Since my contact with the manager was so ineffective here I am on the internet to rinse my hands of that waste of time and money.

DON’T TRUST THE MIDAS TOUCH!!

DON’T TRUST THE MIDAS TOUCH!!! So, after being contacted by someone Identifying themselves as being the “Owner” asking me to email them the details, I did. That went nowhere! I guess they thought I would just go away…no such luck. MIDAS on 1501 S. Park St. Madison, Wi. 53715 IS THE WORST! They will rip you off. I put my 2004 X5 in for oil pan leak repairs and it came out leaking worse than it went in, from the differential that wasn’t leaking when I gave it to them. To get to my oil pan you have to remove the drive axles which they did and repaired the gasket but, in the process, they damaged the right-side axle seal. Which created a larger leak than when I took it in. I took it back and they charged me $60 for a new diagnostic on the work they had done, then tried to charge me $1,000 to repair the damage they did but denied doing. This is the worse repair shop experience I’ve ever had. DON’T GO THERE! They will try to rip you off.

Midas Pacific Beach misdiagnosed my issue and upsold me parts that I did not need. They replaced the spark plugs at 45,000 miles and the manufacturer recommendation was at 105,000 miles. They did not even fix the problem. I was out around $800 and then had to tow it to a more reputable mechanic who told me that Midas ripped me off by selling me those spark plugs that did not need to be replaced. He was also able to fix the issue correctly the first time. Do not go there...AVOID as they are scammers and will oversell you.

2 weeks after I had a trusted ASE certified mechanic look at my car and tell me it was functioning properly, and NOT burning oil, I had Midas on East wash do my oil seals. less than 2000 miles later, the car lost all of its oil on the highway and killed the engine. AVOID this place unless you want to be stuck needing a new car. I called them to give them a chance to make it right and they told me my engine must have burnt up 6 quarts of oil within 1500 miles. Ridiculous.

Crystal Lake Midas has the best customer service for all three of my vehicles (2018 Lexus RX350, 2018 Mazda CX5, and 2017 Honda CRV) by replacing all 3 front brakes with Ceramic Pads for its Lifetime Warranty. I vouch for their excellent customer service and their guidance on what needs to be done compared to what the dealerships want to have done! Thank You Again Dieter & Crew for your service!!

I’m a senior citizen & had driven an hour from Bryn Mawr, PA. to Lawrenceville, NJ. The light on my dash board indicated that one of my tires was low on air. I was very concerned because only a few days before I had had a nail in my left front tire & had it repaired. Had it gone bad? I dashed into Midas on Route 1 in Lawrenceville & Melissa the manager immediately had a technician, Robert, thoroughly inspect all my tires & the sensors. He found nothing wrong. I commend Melissa & Robert for providing excellent service. I felt confident to continue driving. I recommend this Midas location for friendly, competent, caring service.

I visited the Midas in Meridianville

I visited the Midas in Meridianville, Alabama to have some wheels switched out, and it was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. The employees were completely unprofessional—cursing, yelling, and joking around the entire time. I could’ve looked past the noise, but they also damaged my vehicle and showed zero care for my property, literally throwing my removed tires and wheels into the back of my car with total disregard.

When I contacted them about the damage, they promised to call me back by the end of the day—but never did. I finally had to reach out to corporate, which led to a snarky, dismissive response from the district manager, Will Guimarin, who seemed more interested in dodging responsibility than resolving the issue.

I would never trust this location to touch my vehicle again. Midas corporate should take a hard look at this store—it’s clear the real problem is poor management and sloppy employees.

I took my 75,000 dollar truck in for a oil change and prior to taking it in I got a quote for the service and was told it would be $75.00 for the oil change, tire rotation, check the belts, hoses, fluids, wiper blades and interior/exterior lamps. The tires weren't rotated, (I marked the tires prior to dropping off for service) The dashboard life gauge was not reset and my truck was smoking after picking it up. I contacted the Dist Mgr. (JORDAN 513-450-6314) to share my poor experience and it clearly starts at the top, his response and attitude was as poor as the service itself. This horrible experience ended up costing $40.00 for what clearly might have been the wrong oil! PS before I returned to pick up my truck I received three text messages requesting a five star review, I would never give a review prematurely until I have evaluated the service first hand, this gang of idiots don't deserve one star let alone five. Be careful patronizing this location because you may end up with a far worst scenario should you have to dump more money into your vehicle if you have to have another shop correct their errors. The technician at Midas was Ryan and The Mgr. Clifford Conner. THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT HONEST AND THE DIST MGR. IS PASSIVE CHILDISH LIKE, SAY WHATEVER, DISCONCERNING. SMH (WASTING VALUABLE TIME)

Went to Midas my car sounded like I had lifters taping talked to the Manger (Fred) call and told me I had some exhaust pipes rotting out and needed struts and sway bar links. Still to this day my car sill sways. They fixed it pick my car up sounded very quiet again. 3,000 dollars.8 months later noise back, called to have him see if it was a missed weld or any other issues. Later called and told me it was some type of incinerator something like that. I said ok you much is it going to cost 700
Went to pick my car up sounded the same way and they refused to return my hard earned money back. And the worst thing to me I just paid them a little over 3,000 in 1-25-25. His diagnosis for my car was all wrong. Do you think I want to go back. Just want my money back because that didn’t solve my problems his diagnosis what’s wrong? If I knew I wouldn’t have fixed the problem. Because you go into the point where you have to trust what they tell you Because the part put on I didn’t care about that f being fixed if it didn’t stop the noise would’ve never had it fixed, but I did end up taking it somewhere else and they fixed it and my car is quiet again just a manifold leak.
I’m going to try corporate. Wish me luck you already know. Very very unhappy customer.
