Reliable but slow software

I’ve utilised Microsoft computers for all my life, and whilst their computers and software is a staple of postmodern success, they tend to be fairly slow after some use compared to other giants in the sector.

Always worthwhile having a Microsoft computer in reach though, they won’t let you down.

Microsoft store took 5 payments up…

Microsoft store took 5 payments up front of $69.99($349,95) for Windows product that took 30 minutes to activate in the first place. Tech answered the phone left me on hold 20 minutes at a time. Then hung up the phone on me. Microsoft has stolen my money. I filed a fraud claim on them. Don't recommend signing up with them.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service! Our annual subscription for MS365 left our bank account 2 x days ago and we can't use any of the products as its advising that the account is deactivated. I have now tried to get this sorted for 2 days but there is absolutely no opportunity to speak to a human being! There is a customer contact number advertised but this directs you to the online chat which is monitored by robots and only recognises trigger words, so you cant have a conversation and they cant resolve the problem as they don't understand what your question is. When they can't help you they then ask the question "has this been helpful yes/no" if you answer no it directs you to the sign in box and when I try to sign in it advises that I cant sign in as my account is deactivated. if i access the billing option it then takes me to the payment option to pay for it again!!!! I am self-employed and like so many people have lost money through the pandemic, I am now losing customers and income as I cant provide a service because I rely on microsoft and the service that they are supposed to provide.
Absolutely terrible!!!

Ctrl, Alt, Del - tech support is not responding.

The software (Office 365) works most of the time. For that they get two stars.

The problem is tech support. Until recently you could ring and get through to a technician for home users, but now pressing the home users option gets you a recorded voice giving a web page address, and then disconnects.

I used to get a technician, now I'm offered a pointless online robot chat. Needless to say, the price of 365 hasn't dropped in line with the drop in support.

Someone should tell Microsoft that offering something worse for the same old price is not a recipe for business success.

But here's a trick - select the option for business support, and ask them to put you through to home user support. Works every time for me.

Terrible service

I have been trying to gain access to my office 365 account for 14 days so far.
I have been promised 6 times a call back in 2 hours or next day.
All I need to do is update my phone number as the one associated to my account no longer exists.
Terrible company

Microsoft has no respect for loyal customers

Microsoft has become the worst version of itself. It arbitrarily deleted my hotmail account that I had for more than 30 years! (talking about loyalty) It made me to create an "alias" which will help to recover my account in case of a problem happens. Well as soon as I created the "alias" them DELETED completely my email account and there is no power on earth that make them response to my reports, no answering calls, only automatic useless responses. They make a joke of their customers with the message: "talk to a person" only to let me wait for two hours, yes 2 hours that is how important is this to me and the only text that they show is: thank you for waiting you are in the list.
I am devastated my whole personal and business life is in that account and it no longer exists!
It only happens on March 28th.the only response that I have received is that that account no longer exists :( and now I have lost not only history but important business relationships that I don't have other way to contact them. I hate this monopolistic way of messing with our digital life. I will turn my view to Google now, lets see if they don't do the same.
Any suggestion of how to retrieve a whole email address is welcome.

Convoluted website. Poor service availability

So, this is one of the largest and richest companies in the world with staff on every continent, and their UK chat support is closed in the early evening? Really!???

I wanted to check the billing for a product (Visual Studio Professional) which I have a subscription to. It's impossible to find the billing history. It isn't accessible from the section of the website where you can view the details of your subscription.

I give you a FAIL for user-experience design Microsoft.

And the reason I want to contact support / view the billing? It appears Microsoft are over charging me for the subscription. The price taken each month is not that agreed on signup and is higher than the advertised price currently on the storefront.

For a company with so much money and expertise its astonishing that these billing and support processes are not better managed.

Refusing to refund me for a title that…

Refusing to refund me for a title that does NOT work.

There are known issues preventing users from playing.

NOT IN LINE WITH YOUR OWN POLICIES.

We provide Digital Game Product refunds as part of a consistent and reliable buying experience. Most people pursuing a refund just want to solve a problem, but sometimes the system is abused. If it appears refunds are being abused, we reserve the right to stop offering them except where legally required.
All sales of Digital Game Products are considered final, but we understand there may be extenuating circumstances. When you request a refund for these products, and depending on the purchase or content type in determining refund eligibility, we consider a variety of factors like time since date of purchase, time since release, and use of the product.
For single-use items (like consumables or in-game currency), your request may be eligible only if the item wasn’t modified or used.

Shocking confusion from a company who…

Shocking confusion from a company who SHOULD know how to manage passwords and money deposits for their services and basically to be trustworthy. Disappointed on all counts. Is it ME that is the idiot: when I eventually recover my lost username and credit from Skype after more than 6 months and have to re-set my password, WHY do I have to re-set my carefully saved and protected password for my outlook/ hotmail/ live.com etcetera etcetera AS WELL???
As I said, total confusion from an organisation that should know better.

Awful company

Awful company. Tried to log a complaint about a discontinuation of service causing serious issues- been referred to a 'legal team' that haven't responded after 3 weeks. After follow up call been advised there is no 'complaints team' - really? Ever heard of customer service? I've never seen a company having to deflect customer complaints to a legal team before let alone one as big as Microsoft - have you ever heard of accountability or do you really believe your service and products are flawless which they obviously are not. Its ridiculous that all enquiries refs are closed after 24 hours. Unbelievable.

Lied to, ignored and scammed.

Lied to, ignored and scammed. Terrible service. I chose to purchase the usb-c cable and rechargeable battery. I bought it on the 22nd, latest delivery was meant to be the 25th. After phoning several times and getting hung up on mid way through conversations, ignored and people not answering my simple questions, I was then told they aren't sure but should be about the 1st the product will get into stock I waited until the 1st. No sign of it even on the 2nd. I rang again and after several calls and no sign of the package I ordered, they only then raised the case to a supervisor to look at. On the Friday (5th) the supervisor then replied by email to say:

"We would like to inform you that the Xbox Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable is currently out of stock and your order will not push through. This is an issue with our website, wherein customers can see it in stock but on our back end it’s out of stock. Unfortunately, we don't have the estimated date as to when this will be available".

Bareing in mind the tracking info still says its predicted delivery is the 25th of February... which is in the past. When I rang up they said that that wasnt true which was obvious. They were aware that it said this and is purely a lie and they have no idea. I am not sure where this falls in terms of the law but i dont think you are allowed to say you think it will be here by a certain date but be told thats not true and is a lie.

I was not told otherwise, if i had not gone out of my way to chase this up I would not have been informed. Now i am unsure what to do as i don't know when it could come into stock at all. Poor service and really starting to wish i spent the extra money for a Playstation as i still am not able to use the XBOX and still having to pay for my XBOX Live.

Other than this issue alone when i originally received the Xbox, the app would not work which is used to set up the console, so i had to figure out how to set it up manually without the instructions. I then bought a game and the game kept crashing or freezing. I tried to receive help but got no where. I understood that mistakes happen and that they were busy. No help was then given, i was just told that if the game crashes just restart the console and it should be ok again. I personally when spending £230+ and the £63 game do not think that I should have to make do with restarting the console every time. This is a common fault as i found out when trying to sort it myself and am not happy. Will not be rushing to spend any more money with this company.

Hope future buyers consider this and don't take what they say to be true.

What is going on???

What is going on???

I contacted you the first time monday, where you tried to help me and said that a person from data protection should contact me. Tuesday I phoned again since I didn't hear anything from you! Then I was told 1-3 days is the expected timeline to get it solved. Wednesday then the 3 days were over I phoned again and suddenly the timeline was 3-5 days, but she expected that I would be contacted within 24 hours! Thursday I didn't bother to call you again. Now we have Friday and you haven't called me and I called again earlier and got the same 24 hours answer!
Please fix our account, we need access to our mail in order to do our work. We are missing out on a lot of sales when we don't have access to the email! Who are going to cover this? Contact med ASAP!!! I need access to our business 365 office plan!
