disposable mobile

I have 2 mobiles from POCO/Xiaomi, is the same company anyway.

The Redmi last 2 years and start to get very slow and battery just for half day, later the screen start to be no accurate.

Second and last experience is the POCO F2 PRO.
After 3 years, right after the warranty ends the POCO F2 PRO stopped charge. In the repair shopping, the diagnostic was, motherboard problem.

So DO NOT BUY XIAOMI POCO series, this is garbage phones and just endure the warranty.

Beware: Xiaomi's End-of-Life Policy May Leave You High and Dry

When investing in household essentials like a water purifier, one expects reliability and support, particularly from a brand as renowned as Xiaomi. Yet, my encounter with their alarming end-of-life policy unveils a potential pitfall for any Xiaomi product owner: the abrupt declaration of a product as end-of-life, rendering your investment unsupported and, in essence, valueless, irrespective of its actual state or lifespan.

Three years ago (23-10-2020), I opted for a Xiaomi Smart Water Purifier, placing my family's health in the hands of what I assumed was top-tier technology supported by reliable customer service. Fast forward to today (13-02-2024), and the device has malfunctioned. I expected a straightforward, albeit paid, resolution, considering its out-of-warranty status. However, Xiaomi's response revealed the stark reality of their end-of-life policy.

Despite my readiness to cover repair and part costs, Xiaomi refused service, citing the device's end-of-life status due to a single unavailable component. Paradoxically, Xiaomi continues to sell filters for this model as of today (13-02-2024), suggesting the product isn't entirely obsolete for them. This selective support highlights serious concerns regarding the durability and value of Xiaomi's offerings.

This ordeal has led me to question the sustainability and ethicality of Xiaomi's post-sale support. Declaring a vital device like a water purifier as end-of-life within just three years, and denying paid repairs, is not only disheartening but also poses environmental and economic irresponsibility. It significantly erodes customer trust and loyalty, overshadowing the brand's dedication to its consumer base.

I caution potential buyers to meticulously consider this policy and its ramifications. Your indispensable appliance could be merely one component short of becoming an unsupported, inoperative gadget, with Xiaomi's policies offering no solution but premature replacement. Think carefully before investing in a brand that might not uphold its products when most needed.

After only 983.96 km my scooter broke

After only 983.96 km over 2 years and 8 months, my Electric Scooter 3 unexpectedly malfunctioned. This low mileage, primarily commuting between Richmond, Victoria, and the city (7km a week usage...a week), raises concerns about the scooter's longevity.

Despite the minimal use, the company declined repair cost coverage, citing an expired warranty. I shared video evidence, but the customer service response was unsatisfactory. Considering my experience, I advise potential buyers and beyond to scrutinise the company's after-sales support and warranty policies before making a purchase decision.

My disappointing experience emphasizes the importance of reliable customer service in the overall product satisfaction.

Xiaomi - good device, but big issue for Children and no support

I bought a Xiaomi Redmi NOte 12. Excellent device ... till you get a surprise. I needed to have installed a Parental Control software.

Xiaomi do have a feater called "extreme battery saver" which can save battery but will kill all application. This is not the "normal" battery saver, that can be disabled - if launched, it just kills ANY application but phone, including the Parental Control. De facto, this makes all parental control useless.

The issue is that there is no workaround and, due to this you cannot control the phone. Worst, there is no way to have a contact or a support from Xiami to ask for any patch or chahge. If I had known, I would have chosen the device differently.

Non existent customer service

Ordered and received a fitness watch on 12/12/23. It wasn’t doing things advertised on their site so I requested a return and refund. I send additional emails every two days. As of today (12/28/23), I have not received a response. Don’t deal with this company. They’ll be glad to take your money but won’t respond to any issues.
