Beware of Fraudulent Practices at Metro…
Beware of Fraudulent Practices at Metro by T-Mobile
I had a terrible experience at the Metro by T-Mobile store on February 14. I went in to get help with my Wi-Fi issue, and the employees tried to sell me a tower for $250. Then they said they’d give it to me for free, but I had to pay $33 in taxes. After making me wait 45 minutes, they handed me the tower and only then told me I’d be charged $55 a month.
When I asked to cancel, they refused and said I couldn’t cancel yet — they told me the first month was free and basically forced me to take the tower home. The worst part? The tower didn’t even fix my issue.
I returned the tower on February 22, and they confirmed the return. But on February 27, they still tried to charge me $55, and when I didn’t pay, they suspended my line. Even after returning the equipment, they wouldn’t stop the charges.
This store is run by scammers who lie, manipulate customers, and refuse to take responsibility. I called Metro by T-Mobile, and they couldn’t care less. If you’re considering going to this store, stay away — they’ll hustle you and leave you with nothing but frustration.
I hate this and every metro so much
I hate this and every metro so much. Every time I visit this (or any metro
store) I am fully insulted by the racist behaviour of the staff. I cannot walk into this store without being followed by security or stopped at self checkout out with some useless reason to give me a signal that I am being watched and I pay every time. I watch other shoppers shop unaccosted. This is never my, or my kids experience. They are totally racist and the experience is consistent at every metro. They are the closest supermarket to me and for items I need and forget maybe twice per month I find myself having to go there and every experience is insulting and disgusting. I hate this supermarket chain so much it is unreal. I hate it for myself and I hate it for my kids. I HATE METRO and very evenings has me look for another forum to leave a review.

I want to know why you have shrunk your portion sizes but not the packaging. First of all it’s very deceiving and dishonest. Also it is bad for the environment. I’ve had enough with your company’s nonsense and I will be taking action. Disgusting
Brutal Customer Service
Firstly, as a senior living on fixed income without a Smart Phone reduces my shoping experience at Metro. As a fixed income individual with the best years of my life in the rear view mirror, I am always on the lookout for decent sale offerings. Metro offers items like 16" to-go pizza's with 3 toppings for $12. Awesome, if you have a Smart Phone data plan, right? So, being unaware of this I visited the new Metro in Niagara Falls, ON only to learn that I needed the app to get the deal, AND, the deal doesn't begin until 3pm. Perhaps all that fine language was in small print on the digital ad I was reading, not sure. Anyway, point is, anyone without a smart phone is unable to access certain offerings. I was interested in the window washer fluid package of 4, but, no smart phone, no app, no go.
Not coming back. Poorly run operation. The 50+ year old cashier doesn't assist in bagging the groceries which leads to long lines. This is just another example of the inefficiencies of A&P operations. Oh yeah, I called the McLeod St. store in Niagara Falls and asked for the manager and some male repesentative named Chris answered the phone. He never once indicated he was the asst. mgr. I asked him if he was the store mgr, he responded with how can I help you. I told him I was advised that the Store Manager was a woman. Then he stated his correct title. Not a good start, not a good example of a professional.
Oh well, Metro didn't earn my business that day, and with all this app this and app that, I don't need that. Rewards are not worth handing over your personal information. Many corporations lack the investment to protect that data from hackers, and, they often sell that database of clients or lease the share possibilities, so Rewards of any kind are simply not worth the risk in today's climate. Good-bye Metro, your inflexibility is a major concern and deal-breaker for this senior.
Not even one star
Not even one star! What grocery says a $50 minimum order, then only sends one item and charges over $70.00. Called head office to get satisfaction. But no! I have a screenshot of the order, I have the credit card charge. I have one item from my list of 11 items, but they will only refund the one item and delivery, completely ignoring the fact that it was a larger order. Sorry Metro, you just lost me as a customer - forever. No satisfaction here.
Online order gone wrong
I placed an online order but it contained errors upon delivery. A customer service agent informed me that a refund would be issued but before, I would be getting a confirmation email promptly. After 4 days, I still have not received the confirmation email. Whenever I call customer service, they are clueless and dismissive. One gentleman even said that we'll know if my refund will be accepted or not. Excuse me??

Pardon ??
I would like to thank manager and staff…
I would like to thank manager and staff of Metro store located at Keel and Lawrence, Toronto.
It is very clean and well organized store. I always see manger of the store walking and checking, correcting a seeing what needs to be done and it is done.
Thank you very much for your hard work and effort.
Please reconsider high stools for cashiers as majority of them sit in Europeans stores.
All the best to all in New Year.

Say No to Irresistible Brand Mediterranean Artisia Pizza
Do not buy IRRESISTABLE brand MEDITERRANEAN ARTISIA PIZZA!! I threw it in the garbage because it was so soggy! I followed directions and put in 425F oven for 13 mins. It was still cold! I put it back in for 10 more minutes and it was not hot and bubbling but the crust was getting black so I took it out of the oven. It was so soggy it couldn’t hold its shape and veggies slid off. The worst frozen pizza I ever had.
Do not place online order
Wow Super C's online ordering "system" is a mess. Warning to users: don't expect Super C to take any responsibility for mistakes in delivery orders placed on its own website, or even be able to tell you the status of your order.
My order confirmed for delivery between 3-4 pm didn't arrive. Instead at 5 pm I was still getting robo-texts asking me to type Y to approve this or that deletion from my order. (Which would be annoying at any time because the whole point of placing an order with *no substitutes* is not to be bothered with back-and-forth about this or that item. Just bring me whatever items on this list are available!)
I logged into my account on Super C's website to see if it would show the order status, but in there I can find no record of the order at all. So I called Super C's central customer service line. The guy told me that on his end the records show that the order's already out for delivery, but recommended I call the store to find out why this doesn't match the confusing texts. So I did, but whoever answered at the store said they have no record of my order, and that in fact no delivery orders can be made from their store at all! (Except... the website told me I was doing exactly that.) They proceeded to put me on hold, then hung up on me. So I called the central line again. This time I was given a completely different story. Now I was told they can't confirm the status of my order, actually I'll have to call Instacart to find out what's happening.
No surprise that Super C / Metro would try to push all responsibility onto Instacart for deliveries but at least give your customers clear info for troublehsooting. I placed an order on Super C's website, I got a confirmation email from Super C with links to Super C's FAQs and ways to contact Super C. Nowhere in that email does it say anything about Instacart. Why the runaround? Why not just put in that email "questions about this order? Contact Instacart, here's the link:"?
I was so annoyed by this point I just cancelled the order and decided to subsist on crackers until I can go in person 3 days from now to buy fresh food. Attempting an online order has been such a waste of time I,'ll never do it again.
(Just placing the order had already been a headache with snags like the search function malfunctioning, my cart being wiped clean after I'd painstakingly added dozens of items, and the final confirmation page getting stuck in a loop where I had to reload many times for the order to go through.)
Criminals
Metro is a corporation full of criminals. They take your money for gifts cards. When they don't work, they claim they can't do anything about it. However taking the money is ok. Should be jailed!!!
Publix in Florida vs Metro in Ontario
Publix in Florida vs Metro in Ontario. The positive comments are for Publix, NOT Metro!
Publix grocery store -
The staff, produce and deli here is amazing!
Everyone is super friendly and seems to be genuinely happy. As I come back to Toronto and visit my local grocery store "Metro" everyone seems miserable, rude and genuinely upset to see customers because it means they actually need to do some work. As I order some deli sandwich meats I'm rudely halted by the deli manager. "I can only take one item at a time!" I'm sorry the two things I wanted that are right beside each other and already sliced was too much for your brain to handle. Apologies for the rant, but to further my point Publix made me realize that excellent customer service and a welcoming environment still exists. Don't take it for granted! Also the deserts are phenomenal! Publix please come to Canada!
First order online with Metro
First order online with Metro. Delivered ground chicken 2 days past expiry. Called service - wanted to give me a PROMO for next order. Called back a different number and finally got a refund. Spoke with 4 different people - never even got a "sorry about that". I will NEVER shop Metro again.
And - paid a $4.00 "assembly" fee for somebody to pick my order. I should have been refunded that fee as well as clearly they never checked expiry date....or just didn't care. Absolutley terrible.....and that was my first experience!!!
Good experience
Good experience. Store is clean and offer a wide variety of popular food brands. Cashiers are also friendly.
WILL CANCEL YOUR ORDER AT LAST MINUTE…
WILL CANCEL YOUR ORDER AT LAST MINUTE WITH NO EXPLANATION. WORSE SERVICE EVEN, BETTER TO SHOP ELSEWHERE
I have been trying to order on line…
I have been trying to order on line with Metro. I have a promo code that gets erased after I put in a delivery time. I have phoned and complained but they all say I am lying.
Why would I waste my time 3 hours on the pghone, being told I am a liar?
It woulkd be nice if they trusted their customers. I asked them to try an on line order, but they would not.
I want a voucher. No ore on line with Metro!!
Great experience
Great employees one of the best stores I’ve been too
Bought xtra lean gr beef $4.99 per lb
Bought xtra lean gr beef $4.99 per lb
Bought a package for $13.79
Cooked it up for a meal 1 1/2 cups of grease came out of it
How can this be xtra lean
Fat content is way too high for xtra lean
Completely fed up with these grocery stores it they aren't jacking up the prices they find new ways to screw us over
The company can improve by focusing on…
The company can improve by focusing on food safety and stop trying the hide the truth. There was a parasite found in the medium ground beef and they tell me it was inspected and such and it was a vein, meanwhile I have the photo to prove it was a parasite!!!.
It’s all over being shared on the media. You’ve not only lost me as a customer but I’m sure others soon also!!
Very bad quality control etc etc etc
been waiting three hours for a delivery…
been waiting three hours for a delivery that should have been here a long time ago, no calls from delivery people.
never buying groceries in-person with metro either. I worked a metro in laval as a teen and the state of service today is pathetic, not the same business at all
chasing CSR's 40 minutes just to find out where our stuff is, 20 minutes ago they said it was about five minutes away, the dissapointments never end
