I am beyond frustrated with the appalling service from Metal Supermarkets. I ordered rebar for a building project in Stoke-on-Trent, giving them a 10-day window to fulfil it. On delivery day, they showed up with the wrong size. To make matters worse, the driver falsely claimed they had spoken to me on the phone about the change—they absolutely had not.

I had to send the incorrect order back, and the knock-on effects have been financially disastrous. I am currently paying four days of wages for two people who are stuck with nothing to do. Because we are building on clay, our trenches are now exposed and degrading. We will now have to dig deeper, clear out more spoil, and pour significantly more concrete than planned.

Their customer service has been shocking. I have phoned them several times, and they couldn't even arrange a correct replacement delivery for the next day. I last spoke to them yesterday, and despite promising to keep me posted, they have gone completely silent. I am constantly the one chasing them. Absolute rubbish service that is costing me an absolute fortune. Avoid.

I am making a carport so had box section cut to size, it was very accurate and a very good price. Brilliant service

I run a landscaping business and am very busy and also due to a recent back injury quite immobile after work so wasn't able to collect the 2nd item i purchased off them for a few weeks

A good man Callum that works there and stays local near me phoned me and offered to bring the item to me after work in his own time which i genuinely didn't expect but surprised me in very positive way. Thank you!

Definitely will use them again and a good company to help you with your building needs!

From enquiry through to purchase was treated wonderfully by Kev at the Trafford Park branch. We ordered wrong metal and the branch manager was excellent at helping us out. Lots of options to choose from and quick cutting service while you wait. Highly recommend as the team were really helpful and friendly. Will be going back for our metal needs in future

I visited the Trafford Park store today on Guinness Road & I was disgusted by the way the main tall salesman treated me. He was extremely rude to me, belittled me in public & made me feel worthless. I purchase a lot of steel for my business & would have been a great customer for this company. Unfortunately, because of him, you will now lose my business & I will not be recommending you.
I suggest that you either re-train your sales staff in Trafford Park in customer service etiquette or give him a job to do that is not related to customer service. Utter disgrace

I visited the Leeds Metalsupermarkets.co.uk and received the most amazing helpful and caring service from all the staff.
I only needed a small amount of copper cutting and they went out of their way to help me out. I now have the new knob for my kitchen door that no one else could provide. Perfect service every step of the way.
