Extremely pissed off what’s the point in same day delivery if it’s not same day delivery. So disappointing I wish I knew how bad this company was before I paid for nothing.

Wish I read reviews prior to ordering - STEER CLEAR

Wish I read reviews prior to ordering. Similar to others I would never purchase from this company again or recommend to others.
Purchased sympathy flowers for a colleague and paid same shipping to ensure they arrived on the day. later received an email to say that the postcode was outside of same day delivery yet it allowed me to enter that postcode with no errors and proceeded to accept my money.
Escalated and asked for my experience to be reviewed but don't waste your time as it has already been over a week with no response.

Pathetic bunch of flowers!

I can see why Mel's Flowers have received such a low rating. I used them recently to order a bouquet of flowers for a special occasion for my sister, persuaded by the image on their website. I paid the extra for next-day delivery, and on all accounts they failed miserably. The flowers that were delivered were sub-par. They were delivered three days late, and there was very little effort to give me a proper explanation as to what was going on.

In the middle of it all, they also said that some of the flowers that had been displayed in the image were not available and they would replace them. When the actual flowers were delivered, they were a pathetic bunch of flowers, an embarrassment, which, when you're delivering a present on a special day, is absolutely not acceptable.

I contacted the company and expressed my views strongly, and all they've offered me was a paltry credit, as if I'm going to ever use them again, which I shan't. I would encourage other people not to do so. There are so many other providers who can provide a better service. Goodbye and good riddance.

Horrible experience. Never again.

Horrible experience. I would NEVER use this company again. 5 days for a flower delivery after paying same day delivery then the “courier” (StarTrack) took it to the post office.. it didn’t even require a signature. The receiver had a broken ankle and just got out of hospital.. so very stressful for her to have to get someone to pick it up for her, they looked wilted and brown. Extremely embarrassed.

To top it off, the day they were ordered, the flowers were apparently out of stock and just told we were getting a random selection.. would never recommend them.

They advised last second that the bouquet ordered was NLA and they substituted it without telling us what it would look like. Customer service hung up on me when I asked for an explanation. I've lodged a dispute with the bank. This experience has been absolutely appalling.

I would not recommend based on my experience with this company

Under no circumstances would I recommend this online flower delivery service. After paying extra for same day delivery, I was informed a number of hours later, by email, that same day was not available and the flowers would be delivered on the next day. As this was clear not what I paid for and contrary to their website, I requested and was informed I would receive a refund. Again by email, despite having my phone number, I was informed the flowers were on their way and had subsequently been delivered to the hospital after the recipient had been discharged. After raising yet another complaint and again requesting a refund, I have received the following: We would like to confirm that we have already provided several fair resolution options regarding your order. As previously advised, the recipient has moved from the original delivery address and a change in delivery date was required. In view of this, we have offered a store credit for the product amount, the option to resend the order to an alternative address, or a full store credit as a goodwill gesture. If none of these options are suitable, we kindly ask that the flowers be returned to us so we can review the matter further and consider alternative solutions. We believe these options are fair and reasonable given the circumstances, and we remain happy to proceed with the option you choose.

Kind regards,
Customer Care Team
So, despite their failure to deliver within the “same day” as advertised and paid for on their website, I am now supposed to travel 200km to retrieve the flowers 24 hrs later or accept a store credit, requiring me to order again in the future from this company. Appalling customer service!

I can't tell you how bad this is.

I was decived where they were located, then it waslate to arrive by 24 hours. Once my wife recieved it, her reaction was this is crap. she was embarrased that her co-workers saw it. It made me look back and made her look bad. I purchased the biggest one they had and it was small on arrival comparied to any flowers I've ever delieved to my wife. I've been married for 18 years. So I paid some $117 to make myself look bad and make my wife look bad. To be honest it also just caused a fight between us for spending this much on garbage. Yes its that bad. I don't know how such a business is working.

One star is very generous

One star is very generous!
I order a birthday bouquet for my mother in laws 80th birthday to be delivered the day before. The flowers were a week late, old and almost dead. Not anything like what I had ordered at all. I paid extra to “supersize” the bouquet and that meant there were 12 flowers and some leaves? At $117 that’s $9.5 per flower!
Refused to refund.

No same day delivery!

I paid $20 for same day delivery and the flowers were not delivered for a very special occasion.
It's worth spending more on a more reliable vendor in future, won't be purchasing again.

TOTAL SCAM!

TOTAL SCAM!! DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST!!
I placed an order of a $92 bouquet. What I ordered and what was delivered do not even remotely compare, they even got the delivery date wrong. I thought my aunty was getting a gorgeous bouquet but instead received a few roses and teddy bear. Completely inappropriate and inexcusable for the circumstances! Mel’s Flowers will NOT rectify the problem. I’m embarrassed by what was delivered and disgusted by this company. DO NOT USE!!!! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ON THIS DESPICABLE FLORIST!!!

WARNING: Mel’s Flowers Australia is Bloomex – Deceptive Same-Day Delivery Checkout and Quality

WARNING: Mel’s Flowers Australia is Bloomex Pty Ltd Fake Same-Day Delivery Scam!
Consumer warning about Mel’s Flowers Australia: melsflowers.au. They are NOT an independent local florist boutique. They are a hidden trading name owned and operated by Bloomex Pty Ltd (Bloomex Australia). If you need fresh flowers delivered today, stay away from this highly deceptive online florist scam.

The entire business model of Mel’s Flowers Australia and Bloomex Pty Ltd relies on an intentional e-commerce bait-and-switch layout. When you perform a Google search for "same-day delivery flowers" paired with your location, Mel’s Flowers uses sponsored Google Ads to position themselves at the absolute top of the search engine results page. Their targeted digital advertising promises immediate, guaranteed same-day delivery straight to your location, perfectly mimicking a legitimate local florist shop.

The true nature of this deceptive practice becomes apparent during checkout. Before you buy, the website prompts you to enter your specific postcode to calculate shipping rates. I tested this checkout framework using remote, regional postcodes. No matter how remote the location is, if you enter it before their daily time cut-off, the automated system clears it without an error and applies a green tick next to "Same-Day Delivery." They actively accept your premium shipping surcharge under false pretenses.

However, buried deep within the hidden terms and conditions page of melsflowers.au and bloomex.com.au is a highly restrictive loophole. Their fine print states that only AFTER a customer has finalized the checkout and completed the payment will the corporate network decide if they can actually deliver the flowers on that day. Their internal terms declare the selected delivery date is merely an "approximate date of arrival." They use a hidden asterisk system to claim they can legally push your urgent, time-sensitive shipment to the next available day, completely pocketing the premium guaranteed surcharge you just paid.

A legitimate Australian floral business operates with transparency: their online systems automatically deny an invalid postcode at checkout, or they clearly mark an asterisk with critical, visible warnings like "delivery date not guaranteed" before you pay.

Many people purchasing floral arrangements are dealing with deeply emotional life events, such as family illnesses, severe bereavement, and grief. A grieving person trying to send condolence arrangements should not be forced to navigate a labyrinth of hidden legal disclaimers and deceptive website architecture just to verify if a multi-national corporate aggregator will actually fulfill the urgent service they are actively selling.

It is unacceptable that Bloomex Pty Ltd continues to operate these multiple front-facing online floral brands across Australia. Even after being investigated by the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) and hit with a $1 million fine in the Federal Court of Australia for breaching Australian Consumer Law by using misleading star ratings, false discounts, and hidden pricing, their predatory checkout structures remain active under alternative names like Mel’s Flowers Australia. Despite constant negative reviews, warnings, and formal complaints on sites like Trustpilot and ProductReview, they continue to profit from vulnerable shoppers.

This is a formal warning to all Australian consumers: do not trust the stock images or same-day delivery claims on melsflowers.au or any Bloomex Australia digital storefront. If you have been caught by this system, bypass their customer support line, which will only offer a useless $30 store credit while refusing a cash refund. immediately lodge a formal dispute with your financial institution.

Everyone who has been misled needs to report this company directly to the ACCC, Fair Trading, and the Australian Cyber Security Centre via ReportCyber (cyber.gov.au). Stop these scammers from taking your money. Support genuine, verified local independent florists instead.

Rip off

Rip off! They delivered 30 carnations, not 50 supersized roses, a day late! I wish I could give a negative score! This is “subsidiary” of Bloomex - with the same dodgy behaviour. The site looks like a local florist … don’t be fooled and pay $115 for a bunch of carnations you could buy from the servo. They offered me a $20 store credit - pfft! I have put a dispute in to my credit card company.

Poor quality and late delivery

Very late delivery. Advised the day before they were to be delivered. Offered an upgrade for the inconvenience. Flowers arrived wilted 5 days later and certainly no upgrade. Offered 25% store credit. What an insult.

I didn't even want to give them one…

I didn't even want to give them one star. The company stated the flowers were delivered on Friday afternoon
After a multitude of emails and calls, they stated were delivered on Monday. The wilted flowers arrived Tuesday
Nothing like the photo. No refund. I could have bought what I received for $20 from a supermarket
These flowers were ordered on behalf of family in the UK as my dad passed away. Sick of their emails stating we are sorry for your loss etc
WARNING do not buy flowers from this company

Dodgy - not local, not same day and refuse refund

Ordered "same day" flowers at 7:30am and told they couldnt be delivered same day. They could only overnight courier them and they got lost/delayed and refused to give a refund 5 days after they were still missing.

They pretend to be a local florist but arent and they have a call centre offshore.

Emails bounce and no reply to web enquiry. Cannot speak to a supervisor in the call centre.

Thankfully Paypal refunded me. But buyer beware!
