Being a photographer myself, stepping in front of the camera for my first branding shoot was a terrifying prospect- but Mel Brown has a true gift for making people feel comfortable and helping them shine.

From our first consultation to the image reveal, Mel brought amazing energy and really understood what makes me tick. As someone used to being behind the camera, I was nervous about being in the spotlight, but Mel's guidance and encouragement made the whole experience feel natural and enjoyable.

Mel has helped us with a wide range of commissions all of which have surpassed our hopes and expectations and been great fun in the process. From family photography sessions both at home and on various locations where she puts us all at ease and preserves magical, natural moments between us and the kids whilst seemingly disappearing into the background, to bespoke large centrepiece canvasses of Hammersmith and Putney Bridge each capturing both the vibrancy and haunting beauty of the capital for us to take with us when we moved from London, to being our wedding photographer where she navigated all the varied personalities with ease, again putting everyone at ease and delivering perfect memories of all the love and laughter we shared that day. I last worked with Mel in August 2024 when I asked her to do another shoot for me - I am a musician and always need good photos for gigs etc. As always, Mel is totally professional, puts me at ease and always finds a different take/slant on how to portray me and my work which I love. I wouldn't choose anyone else.

We asked Mel to photograph our corporate charity day - PropRow. She was wonderful to work with and the service we received was fantastic. Her personality shines through in all her images and she was fully immersed in the day (meaning she caught some fantastic shots!). Images were produced in a very quick time frame and she certainly went over and above what we expected.

I work for a local charity providing free services and activities for the elderly and had the pleasure of working with Mel for one of our Silver Sunday events. Not only did she take some fabulous shots of all our guests (which we are now using on our website) but she also took the time out to engage with each and every person there, which for many of our clients who are suffering from loneliness and isolation, with little to no interaction with those other than who they meet at our social clubs - speaks volumes for Mel's kind and caring nature. Mel was extremely professional and knew how to capture the best moments, with every photograph depicting the fun, laughter and smiles from the day perfectly! Mel also sent all the edited photos to us within a few days, going above and beyond to send a few samples that same night so we could post them straight away! Not only will I be using Mels services again but I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a talented and professional photographer to capture those special moments! Thanks Mel!

I have had the opportunity to work with Mel on a number of video shoots and projects. She is professional and has a acute attention to detail and the ability to visualise the brief and ideas the client has, which is essential on a busy set. She is always there to reassure the client and able to think on her toes if ever a situation arises on set. I really enjoy coming to set and seeing her there, it puts my mind and ease and I know we are going to have a good time and everything goes smoothly and to plan. Can’t wait to work with her again, it’s a real pleasure.

Mel is an extremely proactive, organised and creative producer. She is able to think outside of the box, and at times it feels as if she has the magic touch, getting great results out of very narrow briefs. She is a real self starter and is able to get on with her work with very little support, but is also great to have in a team situation. Mel has done a variety of shoots for me in the past - from live music events to portraits and I've always been very happy - this is not only down to her skill as a photographer but as a communicator - she makes you feel very at ease in front of the camera and she understands what she needs to do to fulfil your brief.

Mel worked with our musicians to photograph a live performance. She was fantastic, taking shots both during our dress rehearsal and during the performance. The work she came back with was impeccable, capturing both intimate details and broad atmospheres. She was clever with the camera. Mel was the most amazing wedding photographer at our wedding. She was super organised, planned all the important group photos in advance, and caught all the best moments at the event. Everything from the first meeting to the final finished photo book was awesome. Would highly recommend.

I asked Mel if she could come photograph our Remembrance Sunday parade in Chiswick. She was a pleasure to work with and after getting an idea of the shots we wanted went straight to work documenting the day getting pictures of our cadets preparing their uniforms.
As I myself was part of the parade, Mel was left to shoot what we had discussed and she managed to capture some of the reflective and natural moments of the day without disrupting the flow of the event.

We received the retouched pictures a fortnight afterwards in great time to post them on our social media to share with our community how the day went.
