Fake website

I came here to check reviews for Medivon as the website seems legit. Good rating but only 21 reviews. All positive ratings seem fake profiles. When I used the translation tool on their website it translated from Chinese to English. Please consider twice before ordering from them.

All that glitters is not gold

All that glitters is not gold

I must say at the very outset that Medivon’s website immediately gives one the impression of quality and legitimacy.

And that is until you place an order, pay for it and realize you’ve been taken for a nice ride.

I found Medivon through a simple google search for appliances to relieve stress. My wife suffers from migraine and sleep issues and one product offered by them seemed to me at that time to be the best in the market. The item sold for 183€ but what the hell I was willing to pay for it, if it could do what it says it could.

Red flag number 1 -
Received no order confirmation. Ordered item on 3.12. And after three days I saw the email landed in SPAM. Everything about it seemed off and fake.

Red flag number 2 -
I emailed Medivon for an order confirmation - I was told that this will be sent in the next few days. That made no sense to me considering that I had already paid for the product. Anyway, none came nonetheless.

Red flag number 3 -
I was then told that the item I paid for is no longer in stock and that I should buy a more expensive alternative. I then asked them to cancel my order to which I was told they cannot send me a confirmation of cancellation and that I had to wait for 14 days. Pure tactic to stall for time and wait for the customer to give up.

Red flag number 4 -
I had a closer look at the website. If you overlook the fancy layout, you’ll notice the following -

1. The company claims to be registered in Erfur, Germany. There is Erfurt, I have never heard of Erfur. And I’m
sure this is not a typo but a tactic to confuse gullible potential customers.

2. Do a google map search of the address and you’ll see what u mean.

3. There is no telephone number and no contact person. So, if you have a problem “viel Glück” - be sure to write more than 20 emails and depreciate your lifespan by getting on their nerves in the hope for a solution.

4. The email address mentioned on the website is not functional so don’t waste time. You can only complain, address an issue via the contact me section.

5. You’ll find no real person you can talk to regarding your problem.

6. Don’t be carried away by the payment opportunities - PayPal, Klarna etc. I did and I regret it.

All in all, I had a terrible experience. I wrote atleast 28-30 emails to get my money back. It cost me a lot of nerves and grey hair and being annoying to have my issue addressed. I almost gave up and I guess this is what the company wants and in the process earn money out of thin air.

The worst is that there is no real person behind the platform and you can’t get a telephone number to sort this out asap. In all sincerity, stay away from Medivon, I felt cheated and I think it morally wrong to con people like they tried with me. I have nevertheless learned one lesson and that is never to get carried away by the glam. All that glitters is not gold.
