Repairs to GLE
Helpful, informative advice on problem with my three year old GLE from Martin on dropping in when passing by. Resulted in booking vehicle in and subsequent repair. Slight delay on parts but kept informed. Would recommend!!

Harriet’s the Guy 😜
Brilliant service from Harriet, her communication was great I am so pleased with my car and the commitment to work with me on sorting any issues.
Please approach this company with…
Please approach this company with CAUTION!!!
Initially I booked this MB in error as I thought I had booked through Inchcape MB in Castle Marina. I already have a service plan with them and therefore did not expect the shocking phone call I received from Martin (Service Adviser). He informed I need to pay £779 for a Service B and also additional costs they had added. Bear in mind they didn't clarify any charges or additional charges before doing the service? They completed service and informed I needed to pay otherwise my car would not be returned.
At the time i totally accepted I made a human error booking with them and paid the amount just for the service NOT the additional charges.
I was shocked to hear from Martin they didnt do anything wrong with not sharing costs of the Service initially as 'clients need to ask for charges' and 'they did not need to explain anything'. I thought explaining charges etc is good practice and what normal organisations do when selling a product??
This company didn't seem to think so and continued to undermine my intelligence that ' we just did what you asked for'.
Well obviously not the case as if they had confirmed there is a charge for the Service I would have immediately informed them I have a service plan.
Being a single parent with two young children I couldn't help to think they totally took advantage of myself being young and vulnerable. For example, Martin informed I have a 'slashed tyre'. Although there was no problems when I drove from London and also their driver didn't mention this when collecting my car. It turned out there was nothing wrong with my tyre and again it was false information in order to get more money out of me.
Anyways moving on, I booked with Inchcape MB for service in order for the additional repairs to be completed.
Then to be told by them the Service could only go ahead if MB Nottingham removed their completion of service from the digital service.
Judging I just paid a significant amount of money thinking MB Nottingham would comply, only to get the owner of the company Steve Rainer to hang up on me!!! He was very abrupt, aggressive and intimidating. His argument was at the time is I was just frustrated by today's events, well, he was right but all I was asking for in a polite manner I might add, was to remove the service so further work could be done. Very unprofessional of the owner. Attitude was awful!!
Again being controlled by this company! It is shocking how they lure people in under false pretence. I was informed many people mix this company with inchcape MB and MB Nottingham have resulted in profit from it. Also it is funny how all of a sudden there are lots of reviews saying how they clarify prices!!! Lol
Really sad, upsetting and expensive experience. Will be reporting to their Ombudsmen.

Great service
I found Martin and his team very helpful. My Smart car had an intermittent electric fault and they went above and beyond to try and make sure it wouldn’t happen again. I will definitely use their service again.

five star service
I have within the last week bought yet another new smart from this dealership and again cannot fault the professional and helpful service.
I would like to give a special mention to my salesman Shaz whom was fantastic and gave an exceptional customer service.
Nothing was to much trouble and from making a general enquiry to collecting my new electric forfour took one week!!
I for one am very pleased with the whole service from beginning to end and this is my 3rd new car from this dealership over 8 years so that says something.
A massive thanks Shaz very much apprechiated and I will in the future keep loyal

£1500 bill and the car is now WORSE
Suspected car had a gearbox issue based on a fault code and contacted them to investigate further and check that there were no other major issues that would have made the work uneconomical.
Specifically asked for the fault to be investigated and for there to be no danger of other expensive problems looming.
They produced a report at a cost of £100 and confirmed my suspicions using STAR based on a fault code and their so called experience.
I paid and left.
They then phoned me twice later to try and get me to bring the car in. The work was quoted at £1,400 but the report confirmed the issue and I was verbally assured that this would solve the problem.
So I handed the car over and they called me a few days later to say it was ready and the bill was as quoted.
After a while (two to three weeks) I noticed that if I got in the car shortly after a long journey the car would not select reverse or park. Normally I would drive home from work and not get in the car again until the morning, so this fault remained hidden until I stopped for fuel and the above symptoms occurred.
I rang them and they asked me to bring the car in. I waited and eventually the Service Manager came out and said it could many things. It could mean gearbox removal.
Now I accept cars are complicated but they call themselves professionals and I also gave them every opportunity to diagnose the fault in advance.
I was not happy with the open ended "could be anything" outcome and said I would take the car elsewhere.
I got home and decided to plug the car into my own diagnostic tool. Low and behold the same fault code as before, but with two other ones all directly related to the part they replaced. So now my car is WORSE
I decided to write reviews of the experience on here and within hours I get a call from the MD. He said he would look at the car but I was asked to remove the reviews.
I decided that they should have a chance to remedy the situation and capitulated by removing the reviews.
They had the car for 3 weeks and didn't even consider the part they replaced being faulty. They just made up a load of excuses. Accused me of lying and dropped the car back with THE SAME FAULTS.
I have spent £1500 and the car is WORSE than before.
The Service Manager is better suited to selling double glazing and the MD promises all manner of things but does not deliver. His principle objective is to avoid bad PR.
Since the original work has been done they have tried to suggest the following:
- Worn output shaft bearing
- Major gearbox component failure
- Gear selector servo
- Battery
- Electrical problems
Not once have they removed and tested the part they replaced.
I also seem to have been charged for a new unit when it was in fact an exchange unit.
Either they made a mistake diagnosing the problem or the part they replaced is faulty. Either way I am worse off financially and the car is worse off mechanically.
The MD has also just decided that it was my fault for giving them a fault code in the first place. REALLY, so why does your report state clearly that you confirmed the same fault with STAR????? I came to you because you claim to be the "experts".
So whilst it may seem they have quite good feedback on the surface, it may not reflect the true picture as the MD clearly plays a reactive damage limitation game on any negative reviews.
You have produced two reports. One I paid for and which you acted on and has resulted in the original problem remaining. In other words YOU DIDN@T FIX THE CAR
The other report either proves you didn't do a good enough job in the first report or that it is there to suit your ends. Either way £1500 and the car is WORSE.
I am not conveniently omitting your recent (report) attempt at scamming more money out of me. It is simply an admission that you were not sure of the work involved to start with or you are trying to covering up. Perhaps you can explain why the car now has a host of faults that were not identified when I first paid you to diagnose the cars faults???

Motability
Got my Motability car from Mercedes Nottingham, the Motability Advisor was very nice and attentive, gave me the facts simply so I could make the right decision. We ordered a car with certain features and that wasn't the car I received, however, they were very good at getting it back in for an assessment, figuring out the options, and supporting me to get the correct vehicle without any additional penalities. So not the best experience, but they've been good at correcting their own errors, so 4* seems appropriate.
Great service
After recently buying a Mercedes for the first time it needed a service, so after searching the internet for an independent Garage I came across independent MB Nottingham. At first I enquired about a service via the live chat option on the website which offered to call me with the relevant information, I asked for this to be emailed which was done the next day by Martin. I decided to call about a week later with a few questions and spoke to Martin... what an incredibly nice guy, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful,
I was sold.
So yesterday my car had its service, I’m not going to lie I was slightly nervous about leaving my car anywhere but when I met Martin I knew I’d made the right choice. After a couple of hours he called to talk over the service details and after 5 hours I was picking my car up serviced & cleaned 👍🏻. Today I had a follow up call to ensure all was ok.
Thank you MB Nottingham for a quick reliable and friendly service at a good price, I will definitely be recommending you.
16 years a Customer
I have been taking my Mercedes to MB Nottingham since 2004. In the last 16 years I have had professional cost efficient service. Communications are excellent and the £20.00 charge for your car to be picked up and returned is a bargain as it include a vac and clean.

New experience
My husband’s purchase of our Mercedes Benz Estate C220 was not greeted with enthusiasm. It had stood without moving for several years and a low loader was required to take it to a garage (not MB) where a few obvious issues (tyres, mechanical issues, MOT) were resolved. We then took it Inchcape MB at Derby where little was done but for which we paid quite a lot. We decided to try MB Independent at Nottingham. We were immediately impressed on our first visit by Martin whom we heard on the phone as we waited for our car talking to clients politely and informatively. Our car, 13 years old and with over 170,000 miles on the clock, had a number of electronic issues and a small crack in the brake pipe. The brake pipe was standard procedure and soon resolved. But the radio, access to the car via the fob and the sensors were erratic. Finally our car has been restored to us gleaming from its wash, minus the dent in the boot lid and with a fully operational key fob and radio. We are most grateful to Martin for his organisational skill and his reassurance, and to the team for their persistence in overcoming the electronic problems which involved a new rear windscreen from Germany with all the attendant problems involved.
Thank you very much everyone!

Booked in for B2 service for my Mercedes E220 as always the team led by Martin were very accommodating allowing us to drop off the vehicle early. The service was completed on time and the vehicle washed before returning. As previously very happy with the work completed.
Economic good car servicing
Very good service on an older car with multiple issues. Keep informed throughout with options being offered. Car finished at stated time. Would have no problem in recommending this company for an efficient and in comparison with main dealer cheaper service
Having previously reviewed this company…
Having previously reviewed this company with a not so flattering review I have since met with the owner Mr Raynor today.
As per my previous review I did not hold MB Nottingham entirely responsible for the faults that followed the service however the 2 main issues I had have now been resolved to my satisfaction and the explanations given by Mr Raynor have alleviated any concerns I had about this company.
Given they did not have the opportunity to put right the major fault reported I felt that the recompense offered was more than satisfactory given they did not have any legal obligation to offer anything.
i was ring to Nottingham mercedes…
i was ring to Nottingham mercedes service to estimate price for gearbox service, they say for ring me back after 10 min,but they didn't ring me back, next day i again was ring they start to transfer each other and after they drop off the phone, after that i again was ring them and was be the same.
But after,my review was ring me back and was given me good service,i will bookt in my car for them and will see how will be done gearbox service.

Excellent garage
Car was serviced and all the previously agreed other jobs for the stated price. My car was picked up in the morning and returned in the afternoon cleaned inside and out. MB are friendly and efficient and don't try to "create" extra work for themselves, unless it has been agreed. I can thoroughly recommend them.
