I left my hat in the hotel in Forte dei Marmi. It was Thursday I had the first contact and Monday I already received my hat in The Netherlands. Service is excellent!! It was also safely packed.

Just in case my experience help others...

On Dec the 23th 2025 I shipped a rare / valuable gaming card.
I paid MBE n. 793 (located in Rome Via Delle Fornaci 28A/30) about 80 euros to have it insured against loss and delivered from Italy to an UPS point in France, where I SUPPOSED the recipient could have safely collected it.
In the following days the shipment track, which I regularly checked, showed the item reaching its final destination. Then it started bouncing between different access points. Finally, for unknown reason, it has been redirected on his way back to Italy.
Now, the problem with MBE is: during the days all this happened I couldn't get ANY support or help from MBE. I mean they adopt a really ZERO CUSTOMER CONTACT approach.
Me and the recipient could just see the abnormal evolution of the package's track, day after day, with no chance to contact UPS to get / give them instructions.
On Jan the 1st we are still awaiting to be contacted by MBE to be informed on what is happening :-(
I will keep posting what happens in the next days since it is getting interesting.
Jan the 2nd: I've been informed by MBE the shipment is on it's way back because the UPS point of destination was closed and we have to pay extra cost for its way back (!). And, maybe, to ship it once again. And all this happens, I guess, because MBE wasn't available for helping UPS to redirect the shipment.
Jan the 8th, the shipment is back home. At least it is in good conditions, reason why I'm adding a second star.
My advice is now to go directly with the courier if you really care about your parcel.
Hope this helps.

An absolute nightmare

An absolute nightmare. This so-called “courier company” is everything you do not want: agreements are repeatedly broken, communication is non-existent (no response whatsoever via email or WhatsApp), and my package sat uselessly in their branch for weeks.

The arrogance of Martina is beyond words. Smiling while promising that everything will be fine, all the while laughing behind your back because she knows you have no options. Disgraceful, disrespectful, and utterly unprofessional.

Extremely unreliable and a company you should avoid at all costs. Doing business with them is asking for trouble.

⚠️ Important note: This review refers only to the branch in Montepulciano. The branch in the Netherlands deserves a 5-star review.

Avoid Mail Boxes Firenze

Avoid Mail Boxes Firenze – negligence, no refund, parcel destroyed

My mother, a long-time Mail Boxes customer, sent me a parcel from MBE 0348 Firenze to the UK. It included food and a cheese. No one warned us that new UK rules banned dairy in private shipments.

The parcel was blocked, returned to Italy, and I immediately asked Mail Boxes and UPS to remove the cheese and resend or return it. I followed up with over 100 emails across 4 months. They gave no help—just excuses and finger-pointing.

Eventually, UPS tried to redeliver the same blocked parcel, which was then declared abandoned and burned. Mail Boxes once promised a refund—weeks ago—but since then I’ve been ghosted.

No responsibility. No clear communication. Still no refund.

I’ve now reported this to both local and national consumer authorities. If you value your time, money, or belongings, stay far away from Mail Boxes Firenze.

Absolute scammers!!

Absolute scammers!!
They were supposed to deliver two of my paintings to a gallery in Re for €200.
The day before collection from my flat the price went up to €300, after arriving in Italy €650 more… the paintings are stored in their depot and they refuse to release them unless I pay €650. Total cost is now €950.
No contact, no one to speak to , no one to answear the call. The police will be dealing with it now.

An absolute shambles of a service

An absolute shambles of a service. We paid Mailboxesetc to set up small parcel delivery from Palermo on 10th December which was planned to arrive by 18th December. It’s now the 23rd and I have no way or knowing where the parcel is. I have called several times +39 091 7656760 (Palermo office for MailBoxesEtc) - no answer. All I have is receipts for €55 Euro. Yes that did say Fifty Five Euro … if anyone from this useless company actually cares about service can you attempt to reply to this and see if you can find the parcels whereabouts. I have a Modulo Ordine Spedizione with a bar code and reference 3848836.
Perhaps someone could perform some
Magic for Christmas delivery . Let’s see if some one actually replies. I am a UK customer who asked some one to ship from Palermo to SW2 4XL, and your the same company. I look forward to someone responding. Thank you

From Italy to southern Portugal in 24 hours!

I had left my wallet in a taxi in Rome, which the taxi driver took back to the hotel. They put me in touch with Mailboxes, etc, and within hours Alessio had got in touch and sorted everything with me. This was on the Monday morning. On the Tuesday, it arrived safely with me in Portugal. Absolutely great service - thank you Alessio!

We were waiting for our passports to be…

We were waiting for our passports to be delivered. We were at home waiting when I got a message saying that we had refused the passports. When I called they told me that we didn't want to pay . Whe I told him that it wasn't true , I was told that the courier didn't deliver the passports because we didn't answer the phone . They told me that a courier isn't authorized to leave anything if you don't answer there call first. Is this true?

Return shipping blunders

I had my artworks shipped from Rome to Milan with a return shipment to Rome on 21 June 2024, arriving at my home address on Monday 24 June. On the said day, I waited for this to take place, but when I received, on that same day, an email from Milan art organizers informing me that the courier had not collected the artworks on 21 June which were ready for shipment and that they were still at the Milan pickup address since 21 June. I was extremely upset by this situation and promptly phoned the Rome office, only to be told the the guy responsible for my shipment was not available and would be back in an hour. To cut the story short I went to the Rome courier office to speak to the said individual who informed me that in fact the courier had gone to the Milan pickup address, but that there was “no package there” – which I believe was false. Also, why had the Rome courier not promptly informed me of the this situation, which was not done. Had this been the case, why did the Milan courier not make use of the contact name and mobile number made available at the Rome office to locate the Milan package should there be any problems. This was obviously not done. In short very unprofessional operation from the MBE in Milan. On writing this I am still waiting for my delivery which is now another 3-day wait because of the Milan courier blunder. Avoid these people like the plague!

How can you trust a company who does…

How can you trust a company who does absolutely nothing to hold their agents to any kind of standard of integrity with their business practices? They have condoned an agent who took our money to ship a package , lost the package and then STOLE the money that was paid by the shipper for our lost items. These people should be ashamed to call themselves a company that cares about anything except taking money from unsuspecting clients.

Bad packing and insurance scam

I asked to collect a valuable antique (over EUR 10k) from an auction in Milan and ship (MBE0016) to Hong Kong. They used a recycled A4 paper box with almost no packing material. The item was broken in pieces. Damage 3,500. The manager proposed to send a fake shipment to claim via insurance. That is insurance fraud. Don't use these guys. Your are not safe; they are not professional packers and are actually scam artists. They never compensated the damage...

Avoid

Fabulous fast service

I used MBE 2743 in Turin to ship a heavy piece of luggage home to Canada. The store manager, Marco, was efficient and kind and did a fabulous job. The luggage was wrapped and sent, arriving in a matter of days. I would recommend this service over others I have used in the past. Thank you for the great service!
