A woodland burial ground, direct cremation,great for the environment
My husband hadn't told me his wishes, so when he died I was drawn to Mayfields because of the idea of a woodland burial, better for the environment. It is a beautiful spot overlooking the river Mersey and Eastham woods. The Mayfield's team are so helpful and friendly and gave me the support and information I needed to make and informed choice about what type of funeral. The cremation packages attracted me as they were all inclusive and fitted every budget. I chose the Maple package as it was comprehensive and meant the Mayfields team organised everything with good communication with us at every step. Although it was a direct cremation (unaccompanied), the funeral service with the coffin present was perfect in the lovely chapel, it gave everyone the opportunity to say goodbye. There was also flexibility to have our refreshments at the later interment of the ashes, which was all included in the price. I would recommend Mayfields to anyone.

The whole experience was very good, staff were very helpful and informative. Would recommend Mayfields to anyone. My mother has a lovely, well kept plot overlooking the Mersey.

Mayfields is a beautiful place to visit your loved one. The staff are very friendly and had everything prepared for our visit to place my late husband’s ashes in the ground.
It brings great comfort to know we can visit my husbands resting place.

Made our experience of putting dads ashes in a pleasant one .
Have been since to a coffee morning which they put on to bring people with lost loved ones together . Was really nice , will be going again.

From the moment my son and I walked…
From the moment my son and I walked through the door at Mayfields we were treated with dignity, compassion and care. A tour of the grounds was given and very imformative, delivered with patience. On the day, my husband's interment was dignified and everything one would wish for your loved one. Every member of the Mayfields team should be commended for their caring and compassion. I should also say ,that I was very surprised at the financial costs , being under the opinion that the cost of a funeral at Mayfields was way beyond my financial means.lf there was more than five stars I would give them.I must also say, the after care given to me and my family has been second to none.

Such a peaceful place
Such a peaceful place. Staff very helpful and reassuring. Whole process was very relaxed and straight forward.
Scattered our mothers ashes it was a small family gathering with young grandkids, lovely send off we had a picnic and were able to choose our own place to scatter her ashes near the river mersey where she wanted to be.
