Incompetent Wheel Alignment
I’ve been buying tires from Mavis at 2205 Jericho Tpke Commack NY, for over 30 years. Recently I purchased expensive set of Pirelli Scorpion AS4. Shop manager told me it will be done in 2 hrs. I spent 6 hrs. in the shop, but that’s not the problem. I told manager and mechanic that my car, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4-wheel drive, has Quadra Drive Air system and requires it to be put in the Wheel Alignment mode using Uconnect App before alignment. Otherwise, all numbers will be wrong. When the job was done, I got the alignment printout, it showed a completely wrong vehicle, a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, instead of 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Quadra Drive Air system. The 2 cars have completely different Toe, Camber, and Caster requirements. One of the mechanics told me that this is what their computer selected. This has never happened to me before at this shop under different management. I asked them to redo the alignment, since I don’t want to ruin my new tires, I just purchased. They told me to come back later, again, and at this point playing games and avoiding me. I am now forced to go to another shop to do alignment again. Never again will I use the Mavis Shop at Commack, NY.

Needed NYS inspection, Plus Other Service
Review is for Mavis located in Commack, NY.
Needed NYS inspection, purchase one new tire with sensor, one old tire needed a new sensor, oil change, and a 4 wheel alignment. Went in at 10:30 am. After waiting 1 hour and noticed car was not in shop, I asked what was the wait time. Car went into shop, and stayed on lift for more than 2 hours without any mechanic service. Waited and was told oil change and inspection completed. Final ending, car was not inspected nor oil change at the time told; after waiting 6 1/2 hours, was told everything completed but car did not pass NYS emission test!
