Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 275 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the user experience to be frustrating and tedious, often describing it as a chore that causes stress and anxiety. They frequently mentioned issues with the product, including poorly explained questions, a lack of personalization, and a system that requires 100% accuracy, leading to repetitive tasks and an inability to move forward without getting every question right. Customers also reported significant problems with the app and website, citing slow loading times, glitches, and an unintuitive interface. The artificial intelligence features were a common source of dissatisfaction, with many feeling that the AI-generated questions were unhelpful, often incorrect, and contributed to the overall difficulty and frustration of the platform.

I hate sparx maths with a passion. Whoever made this website hates children and loves to see them stressed over maths questions with more words than an english essay. No one cares about how many apple... See more

Sure, using sparx was simple back in the day, but now it's just a game of writing down answers to be recalled, where writing down answers leads to anxiety about an upcoming bookwork check. If there re... See more

The sparx maths problem

The problem with Sparx Maths is the fact it causes everything to take 3x longer than it should. Why should you need to get 100% completion to be able to submit the homework, which often counts as a detention.

GET RID OF SPARX

This app causes me and my son so much stress yesterday apr 7 he was working on his homework and he came and asked me for help on one of his questions so i did and got the CORRECT answer so he put it in the answer box and says it is wrong fast forward 5 mins (during this time we watch the video multiple times and it only makes us more confused) he is having a meltdown and goes to his room to calm down then i have a go at his qurstion and put in the same answer he got and it says CORECT????? SPARX MUST BE BANNED IN SCHOOLS

Sparx Maths

I hope this gets banned from schools . This is because they expect you to complete 100% of your homework which doesn't get to people to learn from their mistakes otherwise it's a detention . In some schools , even 99% could get you a detention including my school. The videos for the questions are so unrevelant to the question and the videos are harder questions . Even when I get questions correct , they keep getting harder and have nothing to do with what I'm doing in school . If you get It wrong three times , you redo the question having to redo your working outs . Bookwork checks are such a waste of time as you need to write working out just for this . Even as top set maths , it's still impossible sometimes and is so impossible, CHATGPT is my only other option . This is wasting my time .

Would not recommended to anyone IS THE WORST MATH APP

Would not recommended to anyone is THE worst math app when you get a question wrong it provides virtually no help and if you get questions right it just makes them harder. Many times I have been stuck in an abysmal loop of failing again and again because the question in question isn’t even relevant to what my class is learning
THIS IS ONE OFF THE WORST APPS EVER

Heat Death of the Universe

Between 100% completion, bookwork checks (which for digital homework doesn't even make sense) and videos that sometimes teach you THE WRONG FRICKING THING, this deserves to be locked away in the deepest darkest depths of hell never to see the light of day again. This an extreme torture method that not even the worst of the worst criminals should have to go through. Heck, even the urban dictionary describes it as torture. And, worst of all, 1 HALF OF ALL UK SCHOOLS USE IT. WHAT! JUST GIVE US WRITTEN HOMEWORK, IT'S BETTER THAN GETTING AUTOMATIC DETENTIONS BECAUSE THE PLATFORM ITSELF IS ACTIVELY NOT HELPING YOU. IT'S HONESTLY A JOKE.

it sucks

I hate it because sometimes a get a question wrong so I redo it and then get it wrong again and re do and get it wrong, but on the 3rd one wrong it resets the question and sometimes i understand the question after it restarts and the new question is never easier it is just more workings to do on books.

Every week I only do my Sparx because I…

Every week I only do my Sparx because I only because I dont want to have a 30 minute detention after school and don't want to be grounded. I have made a script that will shut down Sparx maths permanently and infect other computers with words blasting SPARX,SPARX,SPARX goodbye forever.

The worst form of torture

This has to be the worst thing invented by humans, search up torture in the dictionary and this is the first thing you see. To all schools that use this, be ashamed at your laziness

Worst thing to ever exist

The 100% completion is such a joke, It spent me 2 hours to get each of my homework right without ChatGPT. The videos don't help at all, the bookmark check system sucks, and I thought Times Table Rock Stars was bad. I don't get why teachers even use this.

Won't recommend

Why Sparx Maths is stinky

Terrible experience, do not recommend it to children.
One may consider it a method of torture. A simple maths question may take hours with Sparx. Just use Google, man! The video’s intended to help you are unrelated to the question in any way and useless. Again, just use Google, or a tutorial on YouTube.

Why Sparx Maths Doesn’t Help

So, apparently this app is great and is supposed to get me a higher grade then usually, but if I’m being honest this app is terrible. First of the questions are always long, hard and it’s supposed to give you easy questions. And the help video.. they don’t even help that much, it just gives you the answer and expects you to do it. No wonder we have to use AI to help us. Make the app better 1 star.
