My new "go to" for building/gardening materials

Have just put through a second order with Materials Market, so that must say something.

I recently ordered some bulk bags (800kg) of MOT1 hardcore and Grano Dust. Delivery date of two days from my order was given, which suited me fine. Bulk delivery fee of £25 (at the time of writing) is £10 cheaper than Wickes - and the cost of the actual materials was much cheaper than them as well (MOT1 was 30% cheaper!).

Although a 'wide' delivery time (between early morning and late afternoon), I got a call mid-afternoon from the driver on the day to say he'd be with me within the hour - and he turned up about 45 minutes later. I asked if he could leave the bags on my drive, which he kindly did, even asking exactly where on the drive I wanted them.

Pleased overall - easy to order online, a choice of delivery dates, etc.

I've always used Wickes in the past, but no more.

Absolute nightmare – Over £700 wasted on moldy, ruined timber and zero customer service!

If I could give this company minus 10 stars, I would. I placed an order worth around £700, and it has been nothing but an absolute joke from start to finish.First, the delivery was delayed by 3 days. Then they called to say they could not find a supplier for my decking boards and wanted to cancel. To save the order, I had to suggest switching to a different thickness myself. I then had to wait another full week for delivery.When the materials finally arrived, I was shocked. More than 50% of the entire order was pure rubbish. The boards looked used, dry, warped, and were completely covered in mold and mildew.I immediately took photos upon unpacking and sent a complaint. For a whole week, they dragged their feet, making pathetic excuses that they "did not receive my emails with the photos". Now, they have completely stopped answering my phone calls and are ignoring my emails entirely. Today, I left a final notice demanding a full refund and return of the whole order. This level of communication is a complete insult to paying customers. Avoid Materials Market at all costs if you value your time and money!

Avoid at all costs! Terrible delivery delay, broken materials, and non-existent customer service

Absolutely appalling experience with Materials Market. My delivery was delayed by more than 10 days without any proactive updates. When the timber finally arrived, it was a complete disaster—one-third of the wood was broken and completely unusable.

I have been trying to get in touch with them for 3 days now to request a replacement, but they are completely ghosting me. To make matters worse, customer service is now claiming they never received my email. This is a blatant lie. I sent my first email on the exact day of delivery and have since forwarded the issue to every single official email address listed on their website.

They clearly do not care about their customers once they take your money. Save yourself the stress, delays, and financial loss—do not buy from this company!

Failed delivery

Materials order and stated as delivered. Were not delivered. Large bulk bags that can hardly be missed!!

Mailed customer services and no response.
