36 meter yacht was ready at booked time. As how it should be.
The initial check-in process was super slow. Everybody finished already with the check-in, but they could not find the keys to our sailboat. They urged us to search for the keys on the boat although they had a spare key in the office.
I understand the skipper is responsible for the check-in list and making sure everything works. So it was in our case. I checked the boat and all seemed to be well. I also checked the toilet, made sure the pump is working and is not blocked. Although there is a waste tank there is not much else you can do. I have never used a toilet in the marina and then flushed that into the sea. But it seems that was exactly what I missed to do.
The whole time while sailing we were joking about the smell comming out of the toilet, but it turned out the waste tank was actually clogged. We had to pay 150 EUR for cleaning.
We already did clog a toilet few years back and I was aware of that. Even pointed it out it was our fault. But I can not accept a set-up.
I would advise skippers to fill the waste tank with water before sailing out of the marina and making sure it is not clogged. Only checking the toillet pump is evidently not enough.
Easy boat selection process, booking an payment and good customer service, also in English if needed.
