Zero after care with faulty new £1200 machine!!

We are now 5 weeks further on since my review below.
I was promised a new machine.
I was given an uplift number.
I was told they were waiting for stock....
I have called each week for updates with one excuse after another.
Roll on today and I have received a call from a third party warranty engineer wanting to come and see if they can fix the machine- the same company that said 5 weeks ago that they couldn't fix it.
No-one from Martin Dawes has had the decency to call me with updates - why are you now trying to fix a machine after promising a replacement weeks ago??!!
Looks like the next step will be a solicitors letter...

Purchased an industrial washing machine in December. It broke down in March. The repair people said they are unable to repair that type of machine so said they would refer it back to Martin Dawes. Several phone calls to them and a complaint email later, and we have had no communication from them and are still without a machine. Customer service is none existent.
I wouldn't hesitate to order again
The product arrived very well packaged,the courier treated the item very safely.
It was dispatched promptly and arrived within days of ordering and at a great price.
I wouldn't hesitate to order from Martin Dawes in the future. Excellent service 👏
Samsung TV repair
A Martin Dawes engineer was sent to my property by Samsung. To repair my faulty TV. Although my TV was faulty it was still watchable. The issue with TV was it had horizontal lines and shadow patches on the screen. Again still watchable.
When the engineers arrived, needed two due to size of TV. I was not asked if they should take their shoes off, one walked straight into property with his grubby boots. Didn’t put no shoe covers on. Very annoying considering I had all my carpets professionally cleaned last week. Then the repair began, a small trestle was used for putting the TV on. I have only seen these trestles used for windscreen replacements previously so was surprised to see a 40kg tv being placed on it screen face down. When the back of the tv was removed. The engineer started removing all the circuit boards and speakers ready for the screen replacement. Again I was surprised to see he used no gloves, and hadn’t washed his hands previously starting repair. So dirty hands on delicate components in a sealed unit cannot be a good combination. Then the circuit boards were just put on the sofa. Not a dust free/sanitised good place for delicate components. The new screen was then installed, circuit boards and speakers put back on. Unfortunately the new screen panel was faulty. These things happen, so I just said put the old screen back in. Then at least I have a working TV until a new screen panel arrives again. Now when they was putting the old screen back together. When they put the big back plastic panel on TV. The pressure which was used to get the panel to clip back on. From where I was standing the TV looked like it was bowing like a banana on the trestle. All that pressure on the main screen as they was pushing down. When they turned it on it was completely knackered and not watchable. Screen won’t even come on, various impact marks on the screen. And they was surprised it was knackered, almost confused like how has that happened.
So when they left I had no TV at tall to watch, I'm autistic and classed as a vulnerable adult. I think it’s disgusting from Samsung and Martin dawes that I have been treated like this. If I was someone paying privately for an appliance repair I would avoid this company.
Left with tons of packaging!
I took delivery of fridge freezer, but I am now left with a huge amount of packaging which I'm going to have to try and find someone to pay to get rid of. It's really inconvenient-I'd paid for a recycling service but this seems to have meant the appliance only, not the packaging. If what I'd paid for didn't include taking the packaging away then I would have gladly paid more for this, if it'd been made explicit (as I did with other appliances I ordered) but now I'm stuck with an enormous box and tons of polystyrene. The delivery people were also not very skilled- they were adamant that it wouldn't fit through my door and delivered down the side of the house (not as easy as it sounds!) but I'd checked my measurements prior to delivery, and checked again when they'd left, and there was a good 4-5 cm clearance through the doorframe. I tried to email Martin Dawes via there online contact form, but "an error occurred" and it wouldn't send. The fridge is really nice though!
Poor service and item wasn’t in stock
I ordered a kettle , immediately it was showing as order complete and shipped but I didn’t hear anything about delivery. When I phoned the store I was informed that the product wasn’t or had been in stock and they were waiting for delivery, not impressed that I was allowed to place an order when item not in stock but website did not show this. I then cancelled the order as able to purchase elsewhere as needed quickly, even after I had done this, my order was still showing and not marked as cancelled and it took nearly a week to get refund. Now a couple of weeks later I am being asked to review my purchase! I certainly won’t be purchasing again from this company
Not great!
Bought a microwave online, received an email confirming delivery 3-5 days, didn’t receive tracking so called at day 3 and had to speak to 3 different people, there were two options on the phones automated system that don’t even work… when I did speak to the right person they advised the item was out of stock! They then said they receive deliveries every Monday but they never know what they’ll receive on the delivery? So I could be waiting indefinitely. I cancelled the order and bought from John Lewis, getting next day delivery. Appreciate these things happen, I was just unlucky, but I think they need to seriously look at their processes, communication and customer service.

Phil the engineer informed us he was coming via phone. He turned up on time and inspected our washer thoroughly before carrying out a professional repair. He did an excellent job, very polite and professional and it was evident he is very experienced in his field of work.
Really happy with our repair and Phil the engineer is a credit to his company.

Took 3 weeks deliver
Took 3 weeks deliver, no mention of it being out of stock when we ordered, dishwasher didn’t work because the fitters forgot to fit the water pipe, rang them to complain and they asked me to do it, I had to remind them that I had paid them for the fitting, had to get them back again

Genuinley a first class buying experience. (Not many of those around these days).

Disgusting! I applied for a 98" TV, I paid the deposit and used clearpay to pay deposit, then 20 minutes later they said it had been declined and any deposits paid will be sent back! Im still waiting and as of now, the second payment has been made, clearpay said they can’t do anything because it’s Martin Dawes fault! And It is impossible to get hold of anyone to sort it out! I’d like the deposit back asap!!!

Samsung use this company for out of warranty repairs. The represented visited, identified a blockage in the evaporator and problems with the compressor. decided to replace the compressor only. It did not work. Replacing the evaporator was recommended. However there was now oil in the compressor. The company rang to say they did not think it would work and offered £120 to move on. Overall I felt that if the evaporator had been replaced at the same time as the compressor. I might not be having to replace the fridge/freezer. Another issue was that visits were typically 2 weeks apart, so the whole process of multiple visits has taken over 1 month to resolve.
