Marley flooring Carpet…

Review of Marley flooring Carpet Installation Service

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Marley Flooring, during the installation of a carpet for my bedroom, which cost £675. Unfortunately, the service I received fell far below my expectations.

On the day of installation, the fitter unrolled the carpet in the damp road, which not only seemed inappropriate but also unsanitary. Given the recent rain and the presence of dogs in the area, the carpet picked up debris and dirt marks before it was even laid down. This is simply unacceptable for a product intended for a room where I will be sharing with my baby.

When I called the company to inquire about this situation, I was told they would investigate. However, I overheard a conversation with the fitter, who responded with indifference, saying, "It is what it is." This lack of accountability was disheartening.

After waiting over 20 minutes for a follow-up, I called again and was met with a rude representative who showed no empathy or professionalism, same person who I spoke to on first contact about the issue. Instead of addressing my concerns, her dismissive attitude only intensified my frustration. I even had to point out her rudeness, which is not what one expects from customer service.

I believe the stalling of getting back to me allowed the fitter to finish the room, as I was told I needed photo evidence for something to be done.
Additionally, the fitter explained that there was no space in the store to re-roll the carpet, which was not my concern. At the very least, he could have used a protective plastic covering when unrolling the carpet, but this was not done.

In hindsight, I regret not refusing the installation and seeking a refund. The entire experience has left me feeling devalued as a customer, with no accountability from the company. After researching the health implications of rolling carpet on damp surface, has made me even more concerned of service I received. I would not recommend Marley flooring based on my experience.
