They came on mass with five in a car and two undertaking the vehicle inspection check which was needed at the end of my PCP agreement. Having taken pride in looking after the car throughout the three years and ensuring it was in tip top condition, they identified three marks on the car one of which was not even there and two small ones which were within the acceptable wear and tear guidelines. They did not mark the fuel tank being full on the paperwork (have noted not to do this next time!) and wanted to charge £187 in total.

I put in a complaint straight away with Manheim who agreed that the photos did not indicate any damage and that they would look at improving the training of their staff. The finance company then called me and they also checked the photos and said they couldn’t see anything either so the costs were wavered.

If Manheim are used again for my next vehicle inspection I will definitely request another inspection company are used and if not, I will choose a different brand of car to avoid using the finance company that use Manheim. My husband had a very good experience with a different inspection company (BCA) that assessed his car which was PCP so know there are good ones out there.

Having my car inspected and picked up by this company was the worst experience I’ve EVER had!!!
The man who inspected my car tried to charge me for damage that shouldn’t be charged for!!!! He tried to claim I had 2 dents on the swage line that were over 10mm. Thankfully, my boyfriend was present at the inspection and we made the inspector recheck the length of these dents and funnily enough, they were under 10mm this time! The inspector was also digging his fingernail into a “scratch” on the inside of my car claiming that if he can get his fingernail in, the scratch was deep (which is fair enough) but he was scratching this area over and over making it appear worse.
At the end of the inspection I was shown an estimated amount of damage for £245. I signed the report stating I did not agree with this inspection and was told that the finance company (PSA finance) would be in touch and they might not follow up with these charges (which of course they have).
!!!!!!!!!AVOID PSA FINANCE AND THIS INSPECTION COMPANY IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Birmingham branch mis-sell cars with there online descriptions and is very dis-honest. Other branches in the same group seem more honest with there descriptions on what they are selling. But problem is when i call head office to complain they get the Birmingham branch to phone me which does not sort out the problem and head office do not want to know

Returning a PCP car the short version.
They sent a guy to inspect the car he said there was damage all over and had a ridiculous figure. Two tiny marks on the back bumper was apparently £75. I used some cutting compound and a good rag and within three minutes it was gone. Where's the £75 for my repair?

The inspector forced my partner to sign a docetthen demanded she paid him over £1000. Shed didn't thankfully. He left her in tears after his deplorable manner.

They then refused to take the vehicle.

I made a complaint to the company and have heard nothing back from them after over 4 weeks.

I spoke with the finance company PSA who are also useless and they wanted me to speak to Manheim to get the car collected.

Manheim refused to speak to me saying they have listed me as an unfriendly encounter??? I was very displeased when I made the complaint about the inspector and made that very clear but was in no way aggressive or unfriendly. I was just heavily persistent on the vehicle being collected. I eventually got through to a girl who was very lovely but am still no further forward.

The car is still sitting here and won't be collected until next year. If it's not done soon I'll post the keys to them.

If you can get away with not dealing with them then go for it.

Payment Commission should be reviewed as its heftier than other auction. Item described need to be improved as it is not as described.

Got all damage repaired on my pcp car through one of thier approved bodyshops i.e scraths from car parks ect. To be told there preparation marks. They are a joke of a company. Finding flaws where ever they can even if it falls under the general ware and tear guidelines. Was told to sign and it was a estimate but I wouldn't be charged for preparation marks ect as I was not liable for them. Surprise surprise i got a bill through for them.

easy to use simulcast excellent customer service invoice received almost immediately and notified me that the vehicle was ready to be picked up as soon as my payment cleared and collecting the vehicle was easy and trouble free.

Terrible company, bad customer service. My appointment to collect my pcp car was cancelled without my knowledge so I waisted half a day out of work for nothing. When it came to booking a second appointment they were incredibly unhelpful! If I had a choice and judging from these other reviews I would have never used this company!

I saw a car on the website which was scheduled for an auction in the next day.. I called & ask to 'buy now' price. I got an email for reserved price & timing to be there .i went next day, trade in my car for a good price & bought a new one... the Manheim staff was very supportive & reasonable.. the whole process was stress-free. many thanks.

Con artists! Avoid avoid avoid! Handed a PCP car back for inspection and we were being told that there was faults (scratches etc) which were simply not there. Inspector stood in front of us and pointed at ‘faults’ that were either simply not true or fell under general ware and tear. We were conned into signing a document as we refused to agree to what was being written up on the vehicle. We were told to sign to disagree and it would more likely be “forgotten about as most disagreement cases are”. A complete pack of lies to try and force us into signing a document we refused to sign. We were told that if we refused to sign they would not take the car. The car itself was listed on their auctions website only 1 week later with a write up about how it was in excellent condition with no mention of any issues that we were told about on handover. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS COMPANY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Unhelpful on return of a car.
If you have to return a car on PCP contract expect to receive a large invoice for what it wear and tear and a difference of opinion on what is the definition of a Radial Tyre!

Good service & great to deal with except that the buyer & internet fees are far above any other auction company I have dealt with.

Company workers especially at arbitration break Manheim rules and guide lines. They tell you it's your fault for being a regular customer

Very impressed with everything paid on the day but had to wait 1.5hrs to pick up purchase small inconvenience, but I still got a great car at a good price.
Whole process very easy and painless best auctioneer I have come across and i've been to a few.

Best auction and I appreciate the clear process and free online bid that let everyone to bid freely.

This company not going you car for cheap they charge you lot more than where you can buy on private place and the staff is rude stay away people

In 27/03/2018 I went to the manhim auction I saw a car inspected 10 time before auction started then I bought it next day I went to pick up then I receive a car with missing audio sistem then went ask anyone’s in charge there thay just keep saying the car was like that which I had picture of car( inside and outside) it’s been same things happen to my friend to. That’s so shime for owner and thief people working in there .
