Keith arrived and took a good look around the car. The car was impeccable inside and out and it was like he was determined to find something. On the report for 3 of the alloys, none that had been... See more

Collection of my car 16/02/2026
From the outset, the company was confrontational—even during the initial phone call to arrange my car's collection. I was required to clean the vehicle before it was picked up, and the person collecting the car had not been informed about servicing requirements or defects that had already been paid for. When I requested a receipt for the collection, he reacted as if I'd asked an unreasonable question. The receipt itself was written on the back of a shabby, dirty card and nothing official was provided, despite my signing on a tablet. In order to receive any formal documentation about the collection, I had to go through Ford Credit.
The service was shocking, and based on this experience with third-party providers, I will not purchase from Ford again.

Manheim woes
We contract hired a Volvo V60 from Volvo Contract Hire and upon expiry on the contract the car was inspected by an inspector called Jay Squires from Manheim. The car was immaculate and any minor scratches or marks were certainly within the allowances provided by Volvo. However, this Manheim inspector estimated the repair cost at £533. When I contested this cost, he was "inclined to agree" with me yet he was just "doing his job." Eventually, Volvo Contract Hire greatly reduced this repair cost to a level which we agreed, not because we felt we were at fault but because it was taking so much time, hence we compromised to end the matter. I am unsure if Manheim receive a commission on reported faults but that was the impression at the time. Needless to say, this was the last time we contract hire from Volvo or any other car manufacturer and we have subsequently purchased a Mercedes which we will cherish.

Horrendous company
Horrendous company. I returned my spotless Hyundai Tucson and they found £1.8k of 'damage' which included a non franchise service stamp (which was incorrect) but they still tried to charge me £120 for! If I was to add a photo of the car you would be hard pressed to find any damage at all!

Steve Singh was fantastic
Steve Singh was fantastic, really polite and reassuring. I was worried about the process, especially after having such a nightmare with ford. He reassured me whilst still being professional and explaining what he was doing and why. I knew the car was in perfect condition but so glad Steve was my inspector.

Blinded by money, replaceable workers who mean nothing!!!!
I’m writing on here not as a customer but as someone who applied for a job with Manheim in Leeds. Everything was fine, the rules were simple and easily explained. Until I was racially abused by one of the customers who was interested in one vehicle, the whole rules and everything changed. I tried to report it to somebody higher than me as it was my first week. They simply told me there’s nothing they can do about it. They abuse carried on for next 15-20min untill I get called into main bosses office because the customer who has been calling me names and racially abusing me he now complained himself. So basically they accepted his story because he’s a customer who off course will spend money with them wherein just a worker, and on top of that a new worker so easily replaceable, I had a telling off, been spoken to like I’m the abuser and I’ve made everything up. I don’t think this is on and I wouldn’t want anybody going though what I did. It’s hard enough to find a decent job these days. Stay away from them as in working or being a customers.
UPDATE!!
Manheim have replied that they care about their workplace, they have right processes and can’t get into the detail about the employees.
That’s funny. When I went to work for Manheim and got racially abused there was no process for that. I got told there’s nothing they can do. And in the end I was sacked from that job. That’s how much they care. Don’t let them blind you with their bulls***.

Horrendous
Horrendous. The inspector first of all refused to inspect the car because it was dirty. I'd had it cleaned a week previously and there was minor amounts of road dirt since. I cleaned it in front of him and he reluctantly agreed to continue. He then spent ages looking at the paintwork and found marks which he classified as scratches but were so faint that they were barely visible
Avoid this company if at all possible. They are just out to make as much money as possible and not treat the customer fairly

Was apprehensive about returning my car…
Was apprehensive about returning my car after lease expired, but thanks to Steven Singh the handover was excellent.
He was friendly and explained everything to me about the process.
Kept me informed about all aspects of the inspection and the likely costs involved.
A better experience than I was expecting.

Relieved and impressed
I had my Ford Kuga car inspected and taken away today at the end of PCP term. The date was booked about 3 weeks previously and having looked at reviews I was concerned about what the process would be like. Anticipated the inspection would be difficult.
Clive arrived ahead of schedule with a colleague. He was pleasant but professional. He spent 30 minutes thoroughly inspecting the car. The one little dint on the rear corner of the car, that happened in the first week I had it 3 years ago, came back as non chargeable. I had been concerned that this would be charged from what other reviewers had written.
This really was a stress free process, possibly partly because I really had been careful and looked after the car, but Clive’s approach added to that.
Thank you

What’s all the fuss about?
I spent weeks worried sick about excess charges I had my car valeted, put new tyres on. Got scratches out ensured I had service history locking wheel nut and two keys. The anxiety I had after reading all these reviews actually made me ill.
I’m not sure if the negative reviews are for the right company.
I had a guy called Colin Mason. Not only was he friendly he was polite did his job fast and he was like every other polite professional leasing handback staff.
I was charged nothing. Nothing!
All the effort I made to return the car Colin said was immaculate. Make the effort. It’s worth it. A good experience from this employee of this company.

Concerned about this company
I was told by my Inspector today that blemishing to my wheels was caused by weather and not impact damage. . Looking at other reviews on this company I am expecting the worst.

Great
Today was my first experience with Manheim. It was a very positive one. Steven Singh was really nice and polite. He was very quick with the inspection.
Of course there were some issues with my car (mainly scuff marks on my wheels) which I was aware of and expected to be charged for.
All in all a good experience 👍🏼

Fair and reasonable assessment
Completed a high end Mercedes lease. Inspection was done by Manheim, and it was a very fair and seamless process.
No unreasonable charges. Car had some minor alloy damage and small scratches but the bloke was very fair in his analysis and always referred to the wear and tear guide provided.

Injustice to Me
Day 3 of calling out CA Auto Finance and its third parties
- RNW Compound in Liverpool
- Crystal Collections
- Manheim Cox Automotive
For them provide answers on my missing documents and personal belongings!
CA AUTO FINANCE Customer team completed investigation and as expected, nothing was reviewed from what I see in their report!
AS A CUSTOMER, YOU DON’T MATTER TO THEM!
After my car got damaged while in possession of their third party and my documents and personal belongings went missing! CA Auto finance said they won’t hold liability because I’m not longer their customer as the car was fully paid
The missing documents and damaged car happened before I paid my car in full!

Great experience with Steven Singh at…
Great experience with Steven Singh at Manheim for our lease car return check. Communicated the day before, he was very clear what was required and the condition the car needed to be in for the check and return, provided a friendly and efficient service. Steven was also flexible with regards our service book whereby the garage had inadvertently inserted an incorrect date indicating we required another service. I was able to call our garage and rectify the position while Steven was completing his checks. Really happy with the whole experience.

Crooks
An absolute joke, they somehow manage to get out of not paying using their terms and conditions. Put it this way, I'll NEVER purchase a car from Manheim again. I'm in the trade and my brother has a huge account with these crooks. I'm sure we wont be putting work their way.

Very 'nit picky' looking for any minimal signs of damage
My 4 year old Peugeot 2008e was inspected today by one of their inspectors who was polite enough but his finding of 'supposed damage' to 3 of the alloy wheels at a repair cost of £195 was rediculous.
The car had done 36000 miles, below the 10000 a year contract on my PCP with Stellantis Finance.
The car was immaculate yet despite this he told me 3 of my alloy wheels where 'scuffed'. This was rediculous, there was one single, hardly visible scratch on 3 of the wheels caused by the tyre fitting company when i had new tyres fitted 9 months ago.
When i disputed this and said i wanted to take some photos of the wheels he said quote "no need to do that I will email the report to you". I assumed the report would include photos of the wheels but when it arrived after he left there was no photos included.
When I went on the Manheim website to see how to make a complaint it states they would deal with any complaints/disputes re inspections within 2 working days so I sent them an email complaining only to receive within a couple of hours I needed to contact Stellantis Finance re any dispute over the inspection which I have now done and awaiting their reponse.
Update
Further to my review on 4/11/25the response from Manheim arrived 10weeks later on 16/01/26 which was very poor.
I received a demand from Stellantis Finance for the £198 supposed cost of repairing the ‘scuffed alloys’ 3 weeks after the Manheim Inspection and contacted them immediately bitterly disputing the report. The person dealing my complaint after listening put me on hold while she went to inspect the photos taken by the Manheim inspector(photos I never received). Within a minute she was back on the phone confirming my initial comments that were hardly visible. She told me to forget about the demand for the £198 and case was closed.
I stand by my original comments on the first review and feel sorry for anyone who had been ‘duped’ into paying out unnecessarily for ‘supposed damage’ following a Manheim Inspection
