Clean My Mac wiped MalWareBytes from my older MAC. I had great difficulty downloading a fresh copy of Mal from the Mal website. it was much more interested in selling me a selection of Upgrades at extra cost. I did select the cheapest upgrade, but it was Mal.5 and would not work with my older MAC and its Catalina OS. I had great difficulty learning and then finding Mal.4 which does work as I have enjoyed MalwareBytes for many years !!!! I sorting out this mess, Mark was very helpful through docket 8238173.
YOU really need to look at your website as if you are an outside customer, like us. change your Menu List to make it clear and easy for us ignorant customers. Col the upgrade selling !

I previously had McAfee but when I was having many problems with the computer functionality I took it to the repair shop. My computer was found to have 57 viruses and malware - mind you - all the while being protected by McAfee. NOT! The repairman suggested Malwarebytes and I downloaded/installed it as soon as I got home then got rid of McAfee. Now my scans always have zero results. Thank you Malwarebytes!

good news about cybercriminals
I subscribed once when my new laptop had a lots of pop ups from adult sites and remained a customer since.
From the recent things I like about the instructions on how to learn about scams with AI. Well, the newsletter is generally interesting.
However, I must admit that it blocks also good sites (such as some Romanian universities for example) and then I need to access these from another places, where malwarebytes is not installed.

The browser guard instruction said click on the cartoon icon in my browser. Tried the icons in the pop up window, looked in my browser line in my window - nothing worked. Have no idea what issues that caused or if I'm actually protected - the usual junk from a software compant

Good but not perfect…
I find the product to be effective at preventing problems and finding threats. However, I do not find their activation process or their explanations on the website very clear. i.e., good product, but somewhat difficult to navigate.

I re-newed my subscription , last week . Suddenly , I was exposed to pop-ups , attempting to infect my laptop . I could not contact Malwarebytes , and when I was directed to a website, was told it had no record of my account .
I finally had my grandson fix the problem . Nothing from Malwarebytes .

I have used Malwarebytes for many years now to protect my Windows laptops. Having previously used both their well known competitors and been frustrated at their lack of customer focus and their determination to take control of my computers in a way that made it diffficult to change supplier I was immediately impressed with Malwarebytes easy and efficient way of doing business. I have to say it is a pleasure to receive their regular press releases that advise about the new threats just to keep me aware but the real pleasure is that I have never had any of my computers compromised while Malwarebytes has been installed. Part of their analyses includes the number of threats that they have saved and this always makes me feel that I am getting good value for money.
