Makro send me the wrong items.

Makro send me the wrong items after buying online on 17 March. Today is 15 April. I contacted them and returned the items asking for a refund to repurchase the correct items. They cannot do a refund to my business card because they are requesting a lot of documentation so I opted for a voucher which Richard Mokgotho has been promising for weeks now and I still have not received this voucher after endless calls and endless emails. You call their call centre asking for people that's been emailing you and all the operators say is they have no idea who these people are. As i said to Makro the itmes I bought must go to Zimbabwe.

No confirmation email and Order stuck…

No confirmation email and Order stuck on processing
I placed an order on Makro for a coffee table sold by a third-party seller (NHI consulting), and I am extremely concerned about the lack of communication and progress. I have not received any confirmation email for my order, which is very worrying. Additionally, my order status has remained on “READY TO SHIP” with no updates or indication that the item has been shipped.
As a customer, this raises serious concerns about whether my order is being handled properly. I expected better communication and transparency, especially when purchasing through a trusted platform like Makro.
I would like urgent clarification on:
Whether my order has been successfully processed
When it will be dispatched
Why I have not received any confirmation email
Please treat this matter as urgent and provide feedback as soon as possible.

Review for JIAIA Vibrating Plate Machine Ab ExerciserOrder Number: OD437223721604653100I placed my order on 1 April 2026. On the day before delivery, Makro suddenly cancelled my order, stating the supplier was out of stock.It took them 12 days to realise they didn’t have stock and to cancel the order. This is absolutely pathetic service.To make matters worse, this item is only available online, so there was no way to check stock in-store. This was my very first online purchase with Makro, and unfortunately, it will also be my last.Extremely disappointed with the poor communication and service.

Buyers Beware

Buyers beware.

I purchased a sofa on the Makro website that is supplied by a third-party vendor. On the delivery due date, no there have been no updates whatsoever and Makro themselves did not even know what was happening with the order.

Luckily, I was able to get in contact with the owner of the third-party business, who was very supportive and friendly. She explained to me that the unit is misadvertised on the Makro website with a price from Black Friday 2025, and now the unit is going for normal retail.

Got back in touch with Makro and demanded a refund, whereafter I was informed that the refund will be processed 7-14 working days after the case has been closed.

The lack of communication and accountability is appalling. There should be no reason for the customer to go through such a painful process for a mistake on Makro’s side.

I implore you to take your business elsewhere where you can expect good after sales service, proper communication and a speedy and reliant RMA system.

Makro online shopping customer service… Worst Ever!

Makro online shopping customer service is the worst. Placed an order online, didn't have most of the stock, therefore I cancelled the order. 2 weeks later, 6 emails and 3 phone calls, nothing done but "ESCALATING" the problem. All I wanted was the order cancelled and refunded and no one can help but escalate the problem. Never again will I order online.

Absolutely crazy how they are still operating with such rude staff who can barely conduct themselves. They only know how to respond from scripts but are unable to function in real life. They don’t even know what a proforma invoice is

Makro is a massive shop WHAT HOUSE.

Makro is a massive shop WHAREHOUSE HOUSE.
Whatever product I am looking for on the website, it states available online only.
Why why why.....don't they have enough space in their shops??
I don't want to buy online .... It is not reliable. South Africa is a country with very unstable electricity supply. One will think that Makro will have a dedicated ilse or section where I can shop for solar lights, power banks and power stations (ups) etc. but all I find is a few Garden solar lights, solar flood lights and fairy lights. Really!!!

Very Poor Service

If there was zero option,I was going to choose it, the courier company that Makro using is unreliable,drivers are always saying they didnt get your location,then the next thing based on those lies Makro will cancel the order without even confirming with customer.If Makro is incapable of delivering orders why are they having an online store?

Worst place to buy online

Worst place to buy online, they never deliver on time, refunds take forever. A very good tip Mackro, just close online store, you people must go learn alot by Amazon what customer service is about.
You have the worst reviews and nobody is doing anything to upgrade your service. It's a clap in your customers faces.

If there were 0 stars I was definitely going to put that. We bought a microwave at Makro. When it came home it was not working, we called them to inform them of this and they took it back saying they were going to fix it (what do you mean fix a new appliance) then months later sent it back and it was still not working. The service we received in Makro Gonubie was the worst they even said they will test if we did not ruin the microwave ourselves. We told them that we couldn’t even use it as it never worked. The microwave is still with them and they aren’t giving us feedback yet we paid a full price for it. Since then I cleared all my cart for future purchases. I want nothing to do with them. I’ve never been disappointed by a store I used to love like this.

Useless online orders courier company.

The courier delivery company which Makro seemingly mostly uses, Wumdrop, is in my consistent experience totally useless. No delivery on the day that the delivery is stated and no communication from the driver or otherwise why delivery is not done, and driver does not respond to attempts to contact him. On enquiry with Makro it is then stated from them that I was not available when delivery was attempted.

The worst shopping experience of my…

The worst shopping experience of my life. I'm left traumatised by Makro. I wish I had read the reviews first but I trusted them because they are a big brand. Ordered a Maono PD200X microphone and paid for it in full, and never received it. No communication as to why it never came, nothing. I wish there was an option for zero stars. Thinking of raising awareness on my social media and letting my audience know because we can't keep going through this as South Africans. This is abuse.

I only give a 1 star rating because I cannot give 0 stars...

Pathetic service. Bought online Wednesday - courier received it the next day. A week later still nothing...

Finally received it 15th April after many tries. 2 weeks late.

Makro Online Shopping

I want to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received regarding my recent order.

Firstly, my order was significantly delayed beyond the expected delivery date given on the website without any clear communication or updates provided. This caused considerable inconvenience.

Secondly, when the order finally arrived, I was disappointed to find that the item delivered was incorrect and not what I had originally purchased. This has further added to the inconvenience, as I now need to arrange for a return or replacement.

What is even more concerning is the clear lack of effective customer service throughout this process. It is evident from numerous similar complaints that I am not the first customer to experience such poor service, and unfortunately, I will likely not be the last. This reflects a troubling pattern that should be addressed urgently.

Given this experience, I can confidently say that I will no longer support or make purchases from Makro in the future.

This experience has fallen far below the level of service I expected. I would appreciate your urgent assistance in resolving this matter and delivery of the correct item as originally ordered, or a full refund if this cannot be arranged promptly

Please advise on the next steps and confirm how this issue will be resolved. I would appreciate a prompt response.

Makro Online Shopping Service Failure

Dear Makro Online Shopping Team,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my order placed on 15 March, with delivery initially promised for 20 March.

To date, the order has not been delivered. I escalated this via email on 21 March (Ref: #2LL5F) and followed up with a call on 24 March at 11:43 (Call Ref: 2MOL6), yet I have received no meaningful response or resolution.

Today, 25 March, I received an email indicating delivery would take place on 20 March — a date that has already passed. This reflects a serious failure in service and communication.

Payment was processed promptly on 16 March, yet 9 days later there has been no delivery, no clear update, and no resolution to my query. This is unacceptable.

I request an immediate refund of the full amount paid on 16 March. Please also provide confirmation of the refund process and timelines without further delay.

I expect urgent attention to this matter.

Fridge delivered with Dents and scratches in a stormy weather after 8pm

I'm still awaiting a resolution on this issue. Can we escalate it to a senior team member immediately?
The lack of response so far is unacceptable given the urgency of the matter that is taken very lightly.
There has been no response to resolve this matter.
Just goes to show the service levels of Makro Cornubia how pathetic it really is !!!

If I could give Makro a 0 - I would

If I could give Makro a 0 I would. I ordered a geyser on 25 February and delivery was expected 02 March - I am still waiting. After countless emails and calls and the matter being “escalated” (joke) I have received zero communication from them. I will now have to go to the store and request a refund. Absolutely shocking.

Bad experience

Bad experience, I've ordered myself a heater and on the day of delivery I had to call them and check how far cos it was getting late after I spoke to them they sent me a message that the delivery has been canceled. Why they didn't tell me the time when I called them that it has been canceled instead they told me it's on the way.Mind you I will get my refund after 2weeks,they are out of stock. I told the lady I will top up the money and buy another one she said it's not possible, I have to order from start they are no longer counting that money.Im so pissed off,now I have to wait for them to refund money so that I can get a new heater.
