The worst e-commerce-experience of my entire life.
4 weeks they promised to deliver, no answering my emails, no help at the telephone, no delivery until today....
I will never ever buy again at "Maisons worst customer experience du Monde"!!!

Terrible Customer Service !!

Terrible Customer Service !!

I returned 4 items one month ago and I still haven't received a refund. I contacted customer service, who have been telling me for over a week that my refund is "being processed" and that "I need to be patient." This is despite the fact that they have already exceeded the legal refund deadlines. I will never order online again; their customer service is useless. They answer calls without offering any solutions.

Two damaged paintings and then ghosted by Maisons Du Monde

Received a damaged painting, was sent another damaged replacement. Maisons Du Monde offered a refund but then ghosted me. Reached out to them a total of nine times. Now waiting for my money back. I initiated a charge back through my bank. Maisons Du Monde immediately responded to the bank telling them that the paining was in pristine condition.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Maison du Monde - Unresolved Refund Issue

I made a purchase on March 23, 2025, for a Mäser dinnerware set at Maison du Monde. Unfortunately, due to an error, I received the same items twice. The products didn’t meet my expectations, so I returned both shipments on time. Mäser, the supplier, confirmed receipt of both returns.

However, despite numerous emails to the support team, I am still waiting for a refund of €56.99. My emails have been ignored, and the issue remains unresolved.

The behavior of Maison du Monde is unprofessional and, frankly, seems borderline fraudulent. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend ordering from this store. Be wary if you’re considering making a purchase – customer service and refund processes are seriously lacking, and you may end up being ignored when problems arise.

The photos on their website do not…

The photos on their website do not correspond to reality. When asking for sending back, you have to personally contact their supplier - although you are supposed to be a Maisons du Monde Deutschland customer, they tell you as you clicked on the accept business conditions you agree to the market place conditions. This practice is to confuse their shoppers. Promising something clearly on the website and in the emails that they send you but when you want to walk that promise they tell you that you should have read the hidden small print.... wooow. Never again shopping from them.

Incomplete delivery

Paid €189,00 for a lamp that was shipped in two parcels — only one ever arrived. Emailed customer service, no response. Tried the chatbot later, only to be told nothing could be done because I didn’t report it within 72 hours. Unacceptable policy, zero accountability. Money wasted, avoid this company.

Unresolved Order Issues and Lack of Support

I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received. One of my orders is marked as “delivered” on your website, but I never received it. Another order was mistakenly sent to the wrong city. These issues have remained unresolved for over a month now.

I’ve tried multiple times to contact your support team. The online chat provided me with an incorrect email address"BAL-kunden.service.maisonsdumonde.com?", and I’ve received no response from the hotline — it's always on hold. I’ve been unable to find anyone who can actually help resolve this matter.

At this point, I just want to know how I can get my money back!!!

Watch out

Watch out!
Second time writing a review here on Trustpilot, second time sending an email, many times I've reached out through the online chat, they've never picked up the phone.
I got a broken mirror and have tried contacting the customer service. I have been very disappointed and can say, the bad reviews here are sadly true. What a pity, because it is otherwise a fair enterprise. I would change my rating if they were to reach out, but two months after trying to establish contact, that has not been the case.

I ordered a table from Maisons du Monde…

I ordered a table from Maisons du Monde on 19th April, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations upon arrival. I contacted the customer service of Maisons Du Monde to initiate a return, and they scheduled a day for trans-o-flex to pick up the package to be returned. I waited the entire day for the delivery service to arrive, but in vain. After that, I messaged the customer service of Maisons du Monde and asked them to schedule a new pickup or provide me with a return label for a different shipping service with DHL or Hermes, as I would also be able to bring the package to a postal service station myself. The contact person from the customer service told me they would not be able to organize the delivery with a different postal service at this stage due to alleged constraints with the electronic system, and scheduled a new pickup date with trans-o-flex within a week. However, the delivery service again didn't show up on the scheduled day. I reached out to Maisons du Monde again via email, asking for them to schedule another appointment, but I have been waiting for weeks now and I still haven't received a reply.
After looking through some reviews on trustpilot, I now see that other customers seem to be experiencing similar issues, which makes me think my case is not the exception, but the rule.
To make things worse, I found what seems to be an identical article on Temu for a fraction of the price, which makes me think this marketplace does not only have a terrible customer service, but also overpriced products.

I hope to still hear from Maisons du Monde and get a refund. In any case, this has been my first and my last purchase from Maisons du Monde.

I recently bought a bed and was very…

I recently bought a bed and was very surprised to find out that Maisons du Monde is now just a marketplace and no longer takes responsibility for poor service or faulty products. My bed has damages, and I’ve tried to get in touch with them. Unfortunately, their phone lines are not working. The chatbot advised me to contact the seller directly, which I did—though I’ve written to them twice, I haven't received any response. I’m not happy with the bed or the service, and there is no one I can reach out instead. I definitely won’t be purchasing from them again.

Worst customer support ever

Worst customer support ever. Horrible purchase experience. I've been trying to return an item but nobody is around. The items are not accepted at the parcelshop for return, due to their size, however they are not organising a home collection. Just stay away from them.

Customer Service Dead End

Received a broken article and the customer service is non existent. All sources guiding to dead ends: no chat, no one picking up the phone, no email replies, nothing. This mirror was 400€ and now I have to carry it to the trash? it's over 50kg heavy. This is a sham of a business, don't EVER buy there!

If I could give 0 stars I would.
Terrible customer service. I received a mirror with a quality defect in July 2024 (it's 2025 now!). I asked for a re-delivery or significant discount. They never responded to any message until I opened a PayPal case in December asking me to schedule hermes pick up and leave my bank data. Now they don't answer my emails again. I wonder why I needed to email my bank data though they could simply return my money to my PayPal. I'm hesitant to return the item, because communication is terrible and I'm scared I lose money and mirror.

They Expect Customers to Dispose their Broken Furniture

I ordered a mirror at Maisons du Monde and it came broken. They agreed to send a replacement but refused to take back the broken mirror and said I need to take care of the disposal myself. How convenient, if this is how they do business, they can just send a previously-known broken product to customer and waive their responsibility to dispose to the trash disposal = less cost for them, more cost to the customer. DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE!

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! First they send the wrong desk. Then they ask me (the AOSOM DE company) to send it to the post office MYSELF and also to PAY for the shipping! The desk is veryyyy heavy! NEVER buying from them again!

I bought online an article

I bought online an article, it was a mirror, and payed it immediately through Paypal.
I had a confirmation of the order and the expected date to delivery, it has now passed 2 weks since that date and I haven't received any more information. In the transport company tracking site, it says that the product has never arrived their distribution center.
I've tried to call both the tranport company GEODIS and Maison du Monde customer center, but the call is always ended and I don't get to speak to anyone, i've sent emails as well and no answer has come.
But despite this the company is still selling online, so i think this is a scheme, they are taking peoples money.
Don't buy anything there.

Read the fine print

Company is just consolidating others. When asked to return (completely unused product) they expect customer to return item bought in Germany to France. Expected shipping costs would be €200.
