Absolute disgraceful behaviour

Absolute disgraceful behaviour

never received item complained twice, they never even replied, I got a full refund after 10 day (when item was on last day of supposed deliver limit) but that's not what I wanted. I have to wonder if they even intended to deliver this item.

I will never use these people again

Not a company I would recommend.

Ordered petrol fuel stabizer got Diesel stabilizer. Tried to contact the company, no joy, sent item back, still no correspondence. Raised issue with PayPal awaiting development.

I was a little hesitant about ordering…

I was a little hesitant about ordering something from this company after reading the poor reviews, but I needn't have worried. The service i received was exemplorary. I placed my order and within a day an a half i received my jacket even though i live the other side of the country from where Mail Speed are based. The item was very well packaged, tracked and a comprehensive invoice enclosed. I am delighted with my purchase and the price was amazing value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending this business. Thank you.

One star is too many!!!!!

One star only because there is a minimum!!!
Watch this company very carefully. Ordered a 15hp outboard in clearance. Finally arrived in badly damaged packaging without fuel tank. Was asked to purchase it myself as they couldn't supply one (should have smelled the proverbial then). On inspection although engine had a 15 hp cover it was actually a 10 hp and the box had been 'hand amended' to suggest 15 hp. It was only on checking the engine serial number the issue was noticed. Oh and the date on the engine was 10 years old!!! It was a clearance item but this turned out to be a clearance clearance clearance item. Item now being collected.
Refund okay (most) but no recognition of time spent in sourcing missing items and in having to pack it all back up.
Far be it from me to suggest this was known before it left the premises but the engine had gone through a PDI!!!!!
If you've bought an engine recently from them check it is actually what you think you've ordered. I'm certainly glad i did and certainly won't be ordering from them again.

No sign of ordered goods.

Ordered some boat parts which is hoped would arrive within a few days... the weekend came and went...
Emailed on the following Wednesday to be told that items would be dispatched "shortly"...
A week later and still nothing.

Opened a case with PayPal for a refund, may upgrade to two stars depending on resolution.

Wish I'd looked here first.

Goods never arrived and I had to chase to get a refund through PayPal.

They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

Mailspeed have no interest in customer satisfaction. The customer service received after returning a faulty item was disgusting.

I bought two flexible water tanks from mailspeed and installed them both on my boat. After a short time I've of the tanks began to leak. They asked me to return the item which I did. They then took 3 months to tell me that wouldn't do anything about it. They then returned the item to an old address without confirming with me first. They then tried to collect the item and when they failed they then refused to deal with me any further. I am now without a tank working or otherwise.

I wouldn't buy anything from this company which you need to have some guarantee on because they won't honour it. They're shocking to deal with, repeated calls, never phoning back and when you get through they're rude.

Henri Lloyd Shadow Boots

Initially was concerned as didn't receive a confirmation email (on a good deal) then saw some of these reviews; so got in contact with Mailspeed by phone. This was straightforward; got through easily, they confirmed my order and sent an email accordingly. My delivery arrived two days later as predicted and the goods were exactly as expected. I don't usually bother with feedback but pleased to report a happy customer here.

Really poor customer service

I ordered what according to picture on the site looked like the right item. But this was not the item beeing delivered.
Mailspeed offered to arrange pick-up but nothing happened, whereafter I was asked to cover the intial cost of returning the item. The problem is that the return policy does not cover the cost of returning the item.
This is the worst customer service I have experienced.
What you see is not necessary what you get

Ordered a child's life jacket, paid extra for next day delivery - 3 days later it has not arrived, although they took the funds from my bank straight away. I tried to contact them and I cannot get through to anyone.
Wish I had read all the other terrible reviews before placing my order.

Appalling Service

Appalling service. I ordered and paid for a vhf radio. I heard nothing more for weeks. I tried to enquire but got no reply. Eventually an email arrived claiming the radio was out of stock. No refund yet and no apology.

Sold me an out of date emergency battery; no response to emails or letter

Ordered a replacement battery for a PLB, 2 lights and a lifejacket bobbin.
The battery should have had a life of 6 years: ordered in March 17, it expired in July 17: a life 4 months! If I hadn't noticed, I would have been replying on an expired battery in emergency communications gear for 5 years!!!. Both lights were the wrong ones; only the bobbin was correct.
Emailed: no response. Emailed again: no response. Recorded delivery letter to Managing Director: no response. Emailed McMurdo (PLB manufacturer) for their information: at their instigation Mailspeed finally contacted me, arranged collection & refunded.
So full marks to McMurdo for forcing Mailspeed to respond, even though it wasn't McMurdo's problem: if it wasn't for them I'd still be waiting or would have had to take Mailspeed to small claims court.

Shocking service, poor systems

Bought some sailing boots on their website at the start of December as a birthday present, they took the money instantly. On Christmas day I discovered they had not arrived at my brother-in-laws and no word from MailSpeed Marine. It took several working days to get through to customer service, only to discover the product was out of stock and had been for weeks! They would not offer any alternative boots without further payment. Getting through on the phone takes hours, they put you on hold which also takes ages. Overall, a dreadful service and they clearly have a problem with their web sales vs stock. They also seem to operate as Equine Superstore too on the same phone system so I'd avoid them too!

Unreliable and useless customer service

Ordered a boat medical kit and other stuff. Had to repeatedly contact them as it didn't arrive. When package eventually arrived - no medical kit. They didn't respond to emails until I threatened legal action - then denied any responsibility.

Previous orders were complete but invariably late. Also never received confirmations of sale, invoices etc.

Avoid - I suspect they'll be bankrupt soon.

Shocking customer service- or lack of it

Mailspeed and their sister company Equine superstore are probably the worst online company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
The lost a return and refused to compensate me, despite the courier telling them to make a claim - shocking.
Never use either of these companies unless you have unlimited credit on your phone and you want to reduce your life expectancy!

ordered in stock product, after out of stock!

I bought a pella pump from them to drain the oil in my car as it's been running lumpy and got it by next day delivery. The pela pump cost me £29.99 and after three days they mailed me to tell me it's not in stock (it was in stock when I purchased it!) and too wait three weeks for stock to be ordered in, so I asked them for a cheaper oil pump product and a partial refund. the new pump was 19.99 and they refunded me £5 to my paypal (which is been held for ten days for fraud prevention) and stated my pump would be with me when they can send it, as of today no email confirming sending of package. I complained about the difference and they stated they couldn't refund tax and the new pump was £23.99! This is the first company to ever do this and I think it is extremely cheeky of them to do so. I always take a screenshot of the page, before buying any product (to stop errors occurring) and I sent this with my email and they said it was a clerical error or website error (lame excuse!) I won't be using this company ever again! P.S You still owe me a quid!

Good comms and return service

I recently bought a pair of Gill trousers that were oversized. I had incorrectly chosen the wrong size. Thankfully Mailspeed were quick to respond and a replacement was sent quickly. I'll be using them again.

OUT OF DATE / PAST EXPIRY LIFE JACKET

Terrible company, Sent lots of emails but no joy and tried ringing them but always busy and I was shocked at how bad they treated me as a customer. My life jacket arrived with an replace before date which had passed 5 months ago. I emailed the company and had a reply saying they will be fine and the date is only there for legal reasons??? what a terrible answer. So I am passing all the details on the H.S.E and Trading Standards as what company sells out of date life saving equipment ? Glad I paid on credit card so they (the bank) are refunding me under the buyer protection scheme. AVOID THIS COMPANY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.
