Aggressive loan sharks
This company has been aggressively calling me for about 9 months now, burning through my international minutes while overseas on deployment, bothering me during work and personal time. Ignoring my requests to stop calling me. They are trying to push a HELOC on me and they are claiming my bank gave them my information, totally unacceptable. BE AWARE of these pushy loan sharks.

THIS BANK MAKES LOANS EASY
From the start you can sense this bank wants to make loans. Dan Mason started with ease and confidence , Greg carried out the paperwork and helped smooth all the wrinkles . They were all so good and different from other banks that i checked with Federal Reserve that bank was legit !! I could not believe in 40 years of borrowing that a bank could be so straight forward and EASY. Interest rate from beginning was perfect - never changed ( a lot go up during loan process at other banks) fees were less. My loan closed in record time- and closing was easy in my home. What more could you want in a bank! Thankyou Dan, Greg and all at Magnolia Bank.

My experience with Magnolia Bank was simply unprofessional high pressure sales tactics with a major portion of lack of ethical procedures with an inclusion of horrendous customer service.
Overtly high priced quotes attached to VA loan offerings. Failures to follow VA protocols and violations of Veterans rights was prominent throughout the process.
The biggest offense was the banks agent refused to offer compriable home that sold recently that supported a realistic evaluation of my existing homes value even after the appraisal agent requested their inclusion due to the lack of adequate comparison sales via his limited public records listing.
Whereas, the bank agent easily located 5 to 6 homes using listed publicly elsewhere. Sales within a year nearby rural rules via that would present strong evidence of the true trend of smaller similar sold home pricing in my area.
Unless I accepted there overly overpriced loan quote she would cancel the dispute. The bank agent made her stance very clear via excessive unwanted communications.
The bank agent name was Janelle Dent.
Very Unprofessional Loan Officer Communication
Likely based on one of my Google searches on HELOC rate, the bank actually called me to see if I was interested in an HELOC or HELOAN. After a few conversations with a pleasant speaking assistant loan office, I spoke to an alleged actual loan officer who had a lot of questions for me about why I needed the loan and questioned the voracity of my income over the phone but no answers to my questions. She never even offered to send me a link to upload my documents so they could evaluate my loan request and my income. She did not even ask to pull a soft credit check. Without any real information about how the bank could support my home project and debt consolidation needs or even describe what loan products they offer - she hung up on me. Very unprofessional. Very useless experience. In all my years, I've never experienced a loan officer tossing away the potential of a bank to make $180,000+ on interest on a 30 year term loan. Stupid! I have 2 solid offers from The Loan Store and Amerisave and once I mentioned this she said she couldn't help me. Very unreal - I don't understand how Magnolia Bank obtains lending business. Why even call potential customers??? I note that Google research shows this bank seems to be generally well received by reviewers but that was not my experience with this particular loan officer. That conversation pretty much paved the way for me to close my loan with Amerisave and leave this bank behind. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT WASTE YOUR TIME CONTACTING THIS BANK.
Great Cash out refi experience
Second time refinancing with Magnolia and the fast responses and quick completion of my cash out refinance means i will definitley be using Magnolia bank again. Dan and Greg where both extremely knowledgeable and helpful... thanks for everything

Both gentlemen were very helpful, they understood that I was going through a tough time and were very patient with me on explaining what paperwork they needed.
I unpressional, possibly a scam
This bank called me to the point of harassment. I answered several times to tell them that we were already working with someone or that we were not interested. I even told them several times to remove me from their call list. Still, they would call me multiple times a day, during work and meeting hours, often 3 or 4 times, back to back, in the same couple of minutes. When I did answer, if there were times that I couldnt hear them or it was the second, third or fourth time they called, they would get an attitude with me and hang up on me. Ive answered their calls multiple times in the morning, when driving my kids to school, and couldnt understand them on bluetooth, or they couldnt hear me, and I told them that it would be a better time to talk in 15 or 20 minutes, and they insulted me and hung up, or said something like ("oh but i know you can hear me and i know you can talk, so stop wasting my time") when they called me...and i said id call them back. Im confused if they want business or not. Ultimately, i would not want to go into business with a company whose representatives are sensitive to the point of vast unprofessionalism and entitlement, especially regarding financial issues. I would rather an adult handle these aspects of my life, and not teenagers, or those who act as such, professionally. There are so many other companies that do what they do, with much more trust and professionalism. They are not making themselves competetive by insulting clients when they cant understand/hear your representitives....and especially when they are hanging up on clients when we are calling back to say they missed a call, and asking what the call was all about. Sounds very similar to a company trying to scam you.

My wife and I had purchased a few houses so this was not our first go around. However, there were aspects we did not expect. Dan and Gregg helped us out every step of the way. The process was smooth. Both Dan and Gregg took the time to educate us on the fine details of a VA loan. More importantly they maintained seem less communication with us. This was the second time I chose Magnolia Bank and again I did not regret it. We will be using them again on our next property purchase.

My recent experience with Dan Mason @ Magnolia Bank was high pressured, and intense. I presented paperwork that would comply with his request and then he would tell me all good and the next day he was increasing my payment. When my purpose to refi was to eliminate automated withdrawal of my Escrow with present Mortgage Company also to refi he created a significant increase in my mortgage payment and caused my Homeowners Insurance to lapse while calling them and transferring my Insurance to Magnolia Bank before I had agreed to the refi, in that process my Insurance lapsed . Mr. Mason didn't bother to notify my Homeowner's that Magnolia Bank wasn't going to refi my home. I was not notified he had done this. He was loud, rude and unprofessional on many occasions . It was the worst experience I have ever had with a Financial Institution.
