Withholding legitimately earned earnings with no appeal process
I had a contributor account with Magnific that was suspended due to an unintentional copyright violation. I accept that decision and am not disputing it.
However, I had €600 in pending earnings from sales made before the suspension. I requested that this amount be released, explaining my situation as someone based in Gaza who has lost significant financial stability this past year. Magnific’s Copyright Department responded that all earnings would be frozen regardless of circumstances, and confirmed the decision was final with no appeals process offered.
I understand companies need clear copyright policies, but €600 in legitimately earned income being withheld entirely, with no review process and no consideration of individual circumstances, feels disproportionate.
