Dreadful lobster
We ordered our Christmas lunch form here, a fish box starter and a lobster Thermidor main. There were issues with delivery of the fish box as the prawns were poorly packed and had leaked over most of the contents, so we were sent replacements for the damaged items. I questioned the fact that the lobster was a tail rather than a half lobster as pictured and was told all the meat had been packed into the tail. Upon cooking it became obvious this wasn’t the case- the lobster meat was terribly overcooked (despite following the instructions) and the ‘claw’ meat appeared to either be knuckle meat or crayfish tails. The parboiled potatoes were also raw after the cooking time and the Thermidor sauce was very thin. Incredibly disappointing experience from what is meant to be Tommy Banks’s business
