Extremely Unsafe Experience — Confirmed Booking Led Me to an Occupied Apartment
⭐ 1/5 – Think Twice Before Booking With Mabet???
I strongly regret booking through Mabet.
I made a confirmed booking for 3–5 September 2026 and paid SAR 410. When I arrived late at night, I went to the apartment according to my booking information, only to discover that another person was already staying inside.
The occupant opened the door and confronted me. I was put in a frightening and potentially dangerous situation because I genuinely believed I was going to the accommodation I had booked and paid for. The occupant could easily have misunderstood my presence as an attempted break-in.
This was not simply a bad accommodation experience. The accommodation I paid for was not provided, and I was placed in a situation that could potentially have resulted in serious harm.
I contacted Mabet and the apartment owner, but I did not receive an effective response or satisfactory solution. My SAR 410 has still not been refunded.
I am sharing this review to warn other customers:

A confirmed booking should mean that the accommodation is actually available and safe for the customer.
In my case, it wasn't.

And if you ever experience a similar problem with a tourism or any accommodation provider in Saudi Arabia, do not hesitate to contact the Saudi Ministry of Tourism on 930 (24h/7 days)) and report the situation. In my experience, contacting the Ministry of Tourism is an important step to seek assistance and have the matter officially addressed.
I hope other customers do not have to experience what I experienced.
