If you’re looking to buy from this company, please take the time to read
I was searching the web for a discontinued Tissot T Race watch. A very popular watch a few years ago, but they don’t produce this model anymore. This site looks legit. For $150 off the original retail price, it seemed believable.
At a glance, the address shows that Luxxuri. Co is an actual storefront in a mall about a 5 Hour drive from me, but in Toronto. So it has to cross the border. I already realize that in a legit business with proper border paperwork takes about 1 to 3 days to get through Canadian customs.
The website says to allow about five business days for the processing transaction. No big deal - I’m willing to wait the possible two weeks total time it may take to arrive on a discontinued product at a decent price. $500 vs the original msrp of $650.
Five business days later they did process the transaction as stated, and populated a FedEx shipping label of Chicago. Four BUSINESS days after the shipping label was produced there was no updated tracking information on that label, so I reached out to their customer support.
I have purchased products from China before and there is always some sort of shipping confirmation that can be produced outside of the US. Even though the US FedEx system might not have updated tracking here, the company sending you the product has an idea of where it is before it enters the county.
I sent an email three days in a row, asking for an update. At this point I felt like I was going to be scammed. They always replied, but around 4am. Again I am in the same time zone 5 hours away from their storefront. So I know this product is probably coming from China in a shipping container. I never got a good response from their customer support, as it was probably AI driven responses.
At this point, I started copying website information and our email communication into AI myself. As AI was scrubbing the net for reputable reviews they instantly told me to contact my bank and request a refund.
I visited my bank in person and showed them the email correspondence. With the payment method that I used, I am up against the clock as it has been three weeks, not business days, but a total of three weeks.
If you go onto the companies website and read the fine print they use a third-party called Shopify and they basically leave themselves an “out” at any point. If the watch is counterfeit, which I recently learned that there is a ton of Tissot counterfeits out there (which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me for the price point). but so be it. If the watch has issues, or if it doesn’t show up at all, they’re not responsible.. more less.
Scroll to the bottom of their webpage, click on “company policies”, and then “terms of service”. Never mind the “refund policy” because everything you need to know is in the terms of service. If a company has to put all this in writing the way that they word it. It’s not a company you should be doing Business with.
Three weeks later I gave up on their “AI” support that kept saying “they are awaiting a response from their logistics team to get an update on tracking”. That never came. It simply stated you can expect 15 to 25 business days and that they don’t wanna give you wrong information. All things you probably wanna know upfront without reading fine print?
That said, today there is movement inside of the United States, but I am betting it is a Chinese knock off. If this is the case, I am going to film the unboxing as I already know what to look for if it’s counterfeit. I’m going to request a refund from my bank today. I’m not going to bother with their AI Driven customer support.
I would tell you to spend the extra hundred bucks and buy the product from another company. This company is not legit. If you use AI to research or read other reviews within trust pilot or Reddit you will see.
As for the people leaving good reviews, they probably have a knock off and they don’t realize it. If you wanna buy a $500 watch and are OK with a good looking $100 dollar watch comparable by sight, so be it.
If I can still edit my own review later, I will circle back to this
