We are a trio of women distilling Lussa Gin on the Isle of Jura off the west coast of Scotland using fifteen botanicals we can grow or gather from the island. The result is a zesty, award winning gin. Visit our distillery at the north end of Jura or buy online on our website.

What an excellent informative afternoon…

What an excellent informative afternoon we have just had at Lussa gin distillery. Georgina hosted the tour and her passion, knowledge and skill in explaining the gin making process was excellent. Georgina shared with us how they grow, pick and store the botanicals they use for the gin and we loved the fact that the tour felt personal rather than generic. As we were drivers we loved the fact we could take samples away and we are enjoying them now as we write the review. We particularly enjoyed the George Orwell gin called nineteen eighty four. Thank you, what an incredible business you have created x

I’m Scottish and love exploring my country which I think is the most beautiful in the world. I travel occasionally in a campervan and strictly follow the “leave no trace” policy which our countryside deserves. When I stopped for the night in Ardlussa bay on Jura, I was relaxing and enjoying every second of this beautiful place. Then came along the lady owner of the estate and without even a polite “hello” told me in no uncertain terms I had no right to be there. She told me to move to the next bay. I was shocked and felt judged just because I was in a campervan. I’m a doctor and I needed a break and was so looking forward to my holiday. I spent 2 weeks travelling round the inner Hebrides and she was the only person I came across who had no manners whatsoever. I was going to buy some Lussa gin on my way back but her rudeness put me off entirely. It soured my trip to Jura. I say avoid this place, I believe they moved from London to make this brand, well how about respecting the Scottish people? No effort was made to get to know me or why I was there. Rude rude rude. Go back to London.
