Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the payment practices, raising concerns about recurring charges after an initial offer. Customers frequently encountered difficulties with the subscription model, noting that clarity regarding its terms was sometimes lacking, and some experienced challenges with the cancellation process, including continued charges. Reviewers also found the pricing to be unclear, with a discrepancy between the advertised initial cost and subsequent fees. The app itself was described as low quality, buggy, and not worth the cost. Many users also reported issues with the cancellation process, finding it challenging, and some customers needed to seek external assistance to resolve billing issues.

When will someone do something about…

When will someone do something about these scam artists, followed a link on Facebook to purchase a pennywise Apple Watch face only to find they don’t actually have it, totally false advertising. I cancelled my subscription immediately only to find they have now billed me for $34.99, have emailed them and surprise surprise no answer, absolute con merchants, would love to know if there is a way to get our money back and shut this despicable company down!!

I would give it no stars as well

I would give it no stars as well. They are a scam. I sadly saw the ad on Instagram and wanted the try the free trial but then it started asking for more personal information so I just stopped. Next thing I know they charged me $34.95 and it says it’s a monthly charge. I did get a welcome email the first time I signed up for the free trial and on there it says money back guarantee but that was false also. I never downloaded their app or even accessed their product at all. But they are claiming I did access and used premium features. They are full of sh*t and f*cken liars as I didn’t do that. They just don’t want to give me my money back. Hope others who come accross them see our reviews first before giving them a chance. I’m so upset I can’t get my money back because there’s no real way to prove I didn’t to them.

I was targeted by a deceptive phishing…

I was targeted by a deceptive phishing link on Instagram promoting the “Lumnea Me” app for watch faces. This link led to an unauthorized subscription charging $35 weekly without my consent or any legitimate service provided. The operation appears to be a scam: the app delivers no functional value, the website is offline, and customer support is either non-existent or deliberately evasive.

This is a clear case of fraudulent billing and digital exploitation.

They are criminals.

Total scam

Total scam, weekly and bu-weekly charges for nothing. Charges are the same 19.99 and occur randomly 2x weekly or biweekly once they generate a monthly charge or two. Total scam. In about one month they hit me with 5 reoccurring charges.

Avoid this company, but if you havent READ THIS FIRST!!

Like a mug I tried their Apple Watch faces app in July. What I thought was just a trial turned into them taking £15 from my account every two weeks without any notification.

After the initial trial, Luminea sent me absolutely nothing. No emails about charges. No renewal notices. No way to know money was being taken. I only discovered it months later checking my bank statement.

When I complained, they claimed they'd sent me an email with all the subscription details. Complete rubbish. I never received it. They're either lying or their email system doesn't work - either way, that's their problem.

They also can't get their story straight. In their response to me, they described their billing as both "weekly" and "monthly" while actually charging fortnightly. If they can't even explain their own system properly, how are customers supposed to understand what they're signing up for?

The app itself is absolutely nothing special.

The customer service is terrible. They refuse refunds for money taken without proper notification. They hide behind claims of "transparent processes" while failing to actually communicate with customers.

This is exactly the kind of subscription trap that gives app developers a bad name. They rely on customers forgetting about charges rather than providing value that makes people want to stay.

Save your money and your sanity. There are plenty of other watch face apps that actually communicate with their customers and operate transparently.

Avoid at all costs!

THIS IS A SCAM

THIS IS A SCAM! £1 download but it does not make it clear that you will then be billed £15-20 A WEEK from r watch faces that are useless and don’t even stay on the watch face. Cannot figure out how to get my money back nor contact them either

Total scam

Total scam. The Apple watch faces are not 3D, most do not work at all and they do not tell you that they charge $19.99 PER WEEK! No one in their right mind would pay $79.96 per month or $959.52 for a stupid electroinc watch face! It is almost impossible to cancel. I had to take it up with my credit card company. What got my money back was the fact that most of the watch faces don't work!

Avoid like the plague

App doesn’t work all the time and then to add insult to injury they charge you $19.99 and trying to cancel, well still waiting as Apple can’t do anything

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. They present their service as a simple one-time purchase but then start billing you $19.99 weekly without clear consent or transparent terms. Attempts to cancel are deliberately complicated, and their website is often offline or inaccessible, making it nearly impossible to stop the charges through their platform.

What’s most concerning is that Apple has not taken action against this company despite countless complaints. It is unacceptable that such fraudulent and deceptive practices are allowed to continue on the App Store.

If you see the name Luminea.me, do not enter your payment details or subscribe. Check your bank and Apple account regularly and dispute any charges immediately. I have had to escalate this to my bank to block future transactions.

Apple needs to investigate and remove this app immediately to prevent others from being exploited.

scam artists

This company charges you a weekly subscription rate and does not make it clear that they are doing so. Just like others have said on Trustpilot. It’s a really clever scam they got going, watch out.

Scam -- Avoid!

Same experience as others here - a small cost upfront ($1), then a $20 recurring charge starts on a weekly basis. Once I saw this I contacted them to cancel but their response was not straightforward and they did not take action. Even after I requested cancellation, payments continued to be deducated from my account.

Subscription Scam!

Subscription Scam!
Do not use!!
I signed up after seeing a low-cost offer (£0.74), but soon after I was charged weekly amounts of around £15 without clear warning. This is a subscription model that is not made obvious up front, and cancelling it is made unnecessarily difficult. Based on my experience, I strongly advise avoiding this service.
