Be very careful

Be very careful! Purchased tickets for a show thinking these were discounted. They were actually much more expensive than if we had booked at the shows website direct.

We came to London on a mini break and fancied a show . The staff were really helpful and we ended up buying seats for the play that goes wrong . It was hilarious . Our seats were brilliant .. totally unrestricted view and great value . We were toying with other shows and the LSBO staff seemed knowledgable about them all . We will Definately return , huge thanks

Just rather disappointed that when I…

Just rather disappointed that when I checked the seats I'd purchased a few months ago for an upcoming performance of Oliver, they are now significantly cheaper on every site I look at, and some by as much as £30.00 less. I did, if I recall shop around before I purchased these. I don't normally book particularly in advance so not sure if prices have dropped generally for this show, but even when I select the same tickets for say September, they are still significantly cheaper. Just a bit disappointed that the website raves about the savings, which clearly in this instance was not the case.

Misleading Discount Claim - Buyer be aware

I had a disappointing experience with Leicester Square Box Office (LSBO) when purchasing tickets for Sister Act. They advertised "50% discount" prominently, leading me to believe I was getting a great deal at £35 per ticket. However, I later discovered the same tickets were available on the official website for £22.50 each.

When I contacted LSBO about this discrepancy, they refused a refund, stating that they advertise "half price, discount and full price seats" and don't price match. While this may be technically legal, I find it ethically questionable and misleading to consumers.

I learned an expensive lesson (£40 more than necessary for 3 tickets) and want to warn others:
1. Always check official websites and other reputable sources before buying from LSBO.
2. Their "discounts" may not be as good as they appear.
3. They have a strict no-refund policy, even in cases like this.
In hindsight, I should have been more cautious, but I believe LSBO's practices take advantage of customers who may not have immediate access to price comparisons. I recommend thoroughly researching alternatives before purchasing from this box office.

Rip off ‘discount’ tickets

I thought the Leicester Square ticket office would offer discounts for last minute tickets. Quite the reverse. I could have got £27.50 seats by booking direct, at Leicester Square it was £35. So £15 more. Plus advertised prices on board are works of fiction for this place. In future I will avoid and book online directly.

From £100 voucher to no show and £81 refund

I was gifted a voucher for £100 two years ago, and due to covid couldn't go, so I went to the box office and asked if I could extend the voucher or book a ticket now. They told me I had to book there and then, as I have two kids my schedule is never free so my option was next day Tuesday. I booked Phantom of the opera for £81 and "lost out" on the remaining voucher as they couldn't give me any change. Theatre got cancelled (not their fault) but I only got an £81 refund, no theatre, travel expenses, and £20 less to spend on the new set of tickets ;/
