Lowest Cost ELDT is an FMCSA-registered Entry-Level Driver Training provider serving new commercial drivers in all 50 states. Entry-Level Driver Training became mandatory in February 2022 for anyone applying for a first-time Class A or Class B CDL, upgrading from Class B to Class A, or adding a Hazmat, Passenger or School Bus endorsement. We built this service because that requirement made getting started as a driver more expensive than it needed to be. We offer six courses: Class A CDL, Class B CDL, Class B to Class A Upgrade, Hazmat Endorsement, Passenger Endorsement and School Bus Endorsement. Each one costs a flat $20. There are no registration fees, no processing charges and no upsells — the price you see is the price you pay. Every course covers the full FMCSA theory curriculum and is delivered online and self-paced, on any phone, tablet or computer. You can stop and resume whenever you like. Once you pass the final assessment, we submit your completion record directly to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry and you receive your certificate by email. Behind-the-wheel training is completed separately with a range-certified provider. Carriers and CDL schools training multiple drivers can request volume pricing.
