The Lovely Bride charges you £30 for an appointment which is already outrageous. After I'd booked my appointment I found a dress in another shop and emailed to cancel my appointment. This was two weeks before my appointment. They refused to refund me the £30 citing their terms and conditions which state you can only get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of booking an appointment. For a retailer of high-end dresses, this customer service is appalling.

The bridal shop has no natural light. At least They put me in a room with no windows. I’m getting married outside so it was hard to imagine what it would look like.

I felt like they were not super customer service oriented. The other bridal shops I visited made me feel so special. They charge for all appointments even if you don’t want champagne and it’s a second booking to finalize purchase…. They way they communicated this felt a bit abrupt. I was likely going to buy a dress from them but that was enough to put me off. They then chased overly assertively without any awareness of why I was put off…

Anyway they have a lovely selection of dresses for the minimalist bride. If experience is super important for you though- some of the other London shops will give you more of that 5 star experience.
