I recently embarked on a 12-day adventure through Sri Lanka with Lost Wild Adventures, and I cannot recommend this experience enough! From start to finish, it was nothing short of incredible. A huge thank you to our amazing tour guide, Shri, the driver Hesh and the founder, Amy, for putting together such a well-organized and unforgettable trip.

Each day brought something new and exciting – from exploring serene Buddha temples and picking tea leaves in lush plantations to visiting turtle farms, soaring down zip wires, and experiencing the thrill of an elephant safari. The itinerary was packed with diverse activities that truly showcased the beauty and culture of Sri Lanka. Shri’s extensive knowledge and passion for the country shone through every day, and we all learned so much.

The accommodations throughout the journey were beyond expectations, with stunning hotels that perfectly complemented the natural beauty surrounding us. The food was another highlight – homemade dishes bursting with flavor, and the cooking class was such a fun and immersive way to connect with Sri Lankan cuisine.

What made this trip even more special was the incredible group of people I traveled with, Shri’s warmth and enthusiasm brought us all together, creating a family-like atmosphere filled with laughter and memories I’ll treasure forever.

I done the Sri Lanka trip as a solo traveller with lost wild adventures, I usually travel completely alone so a trip was new to me and it did not disappoint!
From the organiser, tour guide, driver and fellow travellers on the trip everyone was amazing and made the experience. It’s a very full filled trip and makes you feel like you are really getting to see absolutely everything.
I highly recommend this company for travelling especially if you are a little bit nervous of your first solo trip! Will deffo be booking again in the future. 🫶🏻

My first LostWildAdventures trip ! What an incredible experience , beat all my expectations. The trip flowed from start to finish , it was amazing to just sit back and have everything organised for you. We did so much activities and experiences you could imagine , and met so many amazing friends! The trips were out of this world , from hiking to the lion rock , to waterfalls, sunsets, authentic food, safaris, even down to the local coffee spots ,there was nothing that was missed!
I’ve travelled the world so much , but I’ve never got to experience a Country before like I did with LostWild. They knew all the hidden gems and have the perfect contacts to make it such an authentic and unbelievable experience.

Amy, Sri and hash are the perfect team and made the experience so special! Couldn’t have asked for more.

I had the best time travelling around Sri Lanka. We had a full day of activities each day and the tour guide Shri was absolutely amazing, very helpful and made the trip very fun. I would recommend LostWild Adventures to anyone and I’ll definitely be booking more trips with them.

Joined the lostwild team for a Sri Lankan adventure January just got gone! Met amazing people, saw amazing things, tried new hobbies activities and sports, and tasted new foods! Amy was ace and have continued a friendship with her 7 months on! Me and my bestie had the funniest couple of weeks together and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Went on a Sri Lanka and Bali tour with LostWildAdventured and couldn't give more praise! Was such an unreal experience with an incredible group of people! The trip flowed perfectly, it was great to relax and just enjoy everything pre-planned. The accommodations were amazing, the activities were amazing just everything was perfect - couldn't recommend enough!

Me and my best mate went on the LostWild Sri Lanka trip in January and had an absolute ball. We’ve not stopped going on about it since. Sri Lanka as a place is absolutely beautiful and one of the best places I’ve visited. Doing the trip through LostWild meant we got the best out of our visit. Everything was planned out for us, so we barely had to use our brains which is perfect for me as I’m not a planner at all. We packed so much into our time there, we went hiking, zip lining, surfing, safaris, cooking classes, whale watching and a load of other things, it was honestly amazing. Amy, Shri and Johti looked after us all so well and it was as if we were one big friendship group, even though we’d turned up as strangers. I would highly recommend LostWild to anyone and will 100% be booking another trip!

I found LostWild on instagram and I had originally booked the Egypt tour, however, after I saw a special on Sri Lanka, I randomly booked this too.

I actually didn't know much about the country and was never somewhere I had considered going before.

However, Sri Lanka is now my most favourite country I have visited! It was incredible and I would love to go back.

Top reasons why:

1. The tour guide was phenomenal.

His knowledge of the country is fantastic and I have learnt so much from him. He was always willing to answer any and all of my 1000s of questions I had.

His photography throughout was something I've never experienced. He was so generous with his time, never left anyone out and was more than happy to take as many photos as you request. As a photo person myself, he was patient and would make sure each person's photos were 100% what you want.

He is also flexible, so we were prepped every night with the activities and if we wanted to swap things around, have a sleep in or whatever he would do his best to make it happen.

Being a local himself, he would also give you authentic experiences and often avoided much of the touristic elements which I loved.

2. The food is incredible... I generally eat everything, but I am hard to impress and am often a harsh critic. But there was not one meal I had in Sri Lanka that I didn't love. I have now become obsessed with the food and I am devastated I don't have access to it anymore haha.
They can sometimes take a while to prepare their food, but they make their food from scratch and everything is prepared with care and detail in mind. It was such a different experience to the way food is prepared in Australia.

The people of Sri Lanka are also sweet and generous. We ate at Dream Family restaurant one night and a couple wanted more food and ordered an additional fried rice, the owner didn't even charge them for it and just wanted to make sure we were all happy.

3. The diversity of the country and the experiences you have are second to none.

The itinerary is wonderful and there is something for everyone.

But I loved the scenery and it was like you were visiting many countries in one.

The hikes were my favourite, the 5am wake up times although at first you think no way, they are totally worth it. The sunrises are beautiful plus you beat the heat. Sigiriya was really outstanding for this.

We ended the tour on the coast and the beach was spectacular (and im from Australia).

4. What I loved about it, was there was such a range in activities and even if you think "that's not for me" you end up doing it and it ends up being one of your favourite activities. I'm not much of a water baby, but the surfing lesson was the funnest thing ever!!

I also loved that there was so much packed in the trip. Your days are full, but you're guaranteed to see and experience sooo much. Which I appreciated.

5. Mostly everything was included too, so I liked that there wasn't too many of the "optional activities" that can often hike up the price of your trip.

One proviso I would say, is that it is quite a physical trip. So you will be have to be somewhat physically fit to keep up. But having said that, I loved that it was like that.

I also was quite tired by the end of the trip, I wouldn't like any activities to be removed at all, but a day added in there dedicated to a rest day would be amazing!

Overall, incredible and value for money. I think the people behind LostWild genuinely care about you having an amazing experience.

Sri Lanka was an unexpected wonderful surprise in every way! I’m so glad that we took a chance and booked this trip. It is a beautiful country with warm, friendly people and adventures at every corner. The activities could be somewhat physical at times, but totally worth it in the end, especially for the spectacular views that await you.

I encourage anyone who is thinking about going to Sri Lanka to not only do it, but to use this Tour Company -Lostwild.adventures. Although My boyfriend and I travel a lot, this was our first time using a tour company and traveling as a group and I’m so glad that we did. We were fortunate to be with a great group of people from all different parts of the world who I really enjoyed meeting and that made for a different experience in and of itself which we really enjoyed. Also, I would never have been able to put together such a jam packed itinerary that not only encompass all the touristy activities, and Instagram spots, but also the local experiences that only a local would be able to offer. All at an incredibly reasonable price for all that you get.

Our Guide Shri is absolutely amazing…so professional and knowledgeable but also so accommodating, sweet and friendly. We felt completely safe and comfortable with everything he planned for us. Shri and Hesh our driver are excellent at what they do and really passionate about their job and their country and sharing the beauty of their culture which made everything extra special.
As an American, I learned that not many of us visit Sri Lanka, but that should definitely change and I believe that it will as the word gets out because, it truly is amazing place to experience and enjoy as we did. Thank you to Lostwild.adventures- Shri, Hesh and Amy for putting together such a wonderful once in a lifetime trip, filled with many twists and turns that created wonderful memories that we will carry with us forever!

My trip to Bali & Komodo Islands was beyond amazing. From exploring temples to hiking volcanoes, surfing, and experiencing nightlife, the trip covered every aspect you’d want from a trip to Bali!

This was my first trip outside of Europe, so travelling with the group definitely made it less of a daunting experience. I travelled with my brother, however, by the end of the trip everyone in the group was like one big family. After returning home all I could talk about was the friends I’d made and the funny moments we’d shared.
Bali is the perfect place for a first time traveler, the locals are the friendliest people I’ve ever met and there is a range of activities that suit every type of person.

The highlight of the trip has to be witnessing the sun rise over Mount Batu with our own personal guide.

The Komodo Islands part of the trip can’t be missed! Some of the best memories of the trip were from living on a boat for 3 days snorkelling with Manta Rays and turtles and getting a chance to see Komodo dragons in the wild.

You should definitely book this tour !!! 10/10

The 12 day tour in Sri Lanka was simply fantastic. It was my first long-distance trip and I enjoyed it so much. Everything was taken care of, even on the day of arrival/departure. We had a tour guide and a driver with us the whole time, which was of course pure luxury. We experienced so much in the 12 days. we saw whales, elephants, turtles. went surfing, climbing and relaxing. We took the train from Ela to Kandy. Visit the Grande Waterfall , Dinner at the Beach and we jumped into the pool with our clothes on. We really had the best time. And Amy - the woman behind LostwildAdventure - is simply an angel. We came as strangers and left as friends

My journey to Sri Lanka was nothing short of extraordinary! From start to finish, every detail was meticulously planned, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the wonders of this stunning island. Shri was an exceptional guide, effortlessly blending knowledge with humor, making every moment a joy. Heshan's enthusiasm was contagious, adding an extra layer of excitement to every activity. And Amy's unwavering support ensured a seamless experience throughout.

Shri and Heshan were so impressive and supportive, with their undivided attention and support. They made us laugh till we cried, helped us understand the culture and dialect. Their genuine care and hospitality turned strangers into lifelong friends, creating memories that will forever hold a special place in my heart. Whether it was exploring new destinations or dancing the night away on our journeys, their dedication to our enjoyment knew no bounds. With Heshan taking us to new places when we didn’t want to go back to the hotels, and letting us take over the aux cable so we could have a party on the journeys and he was always looking after us whenever we went out. Shri became a close friend of mine with his lightheartedness, kindness and compassion. He was always there to answer my questions no matter how random or stupid they were. Shri was also very patient with us and helped us get the most incredible photos, and with a group of 11 girls I am guessing that wasn’t easy. These two will hold a special place in my heart ❤️

Meeting fellow travellers who quickly became lifelong friends was an unexpected highlight, adding depth to an already unforgettable adventure. Throughout the trip we all became one big family and my cheeks still hurt from laughing and smiling soo much, the girls were one of the best people I could ask for on this journey. There was always someone cracking a joke, or having a sing along and they were always there to get the perfect picture and hype you up. With Shri, Heshan, and Amy at the helm, I was able to relax and soak in every moment, free from worry or stress. From savoring local delicacies to marveling at Sri Lanka's rich culture and breathtaking natural beauty, every day brought new delights.

The accommodations were superb, strategically located to enhance our exploration, and the cuisine was a delightful journey in itself. One standout memory was the exhilarating safari, where we were treated to the majestic sight of wild elephants and their adorable babies. Words truly cannot capture the magic of that moment! Every time I talk about this trip or look at the pictures I cannot help but smile and relive all these amazing memories I have made!

If you're considering booking a trip, don't hesitate! I'm already planning on doing another one.

Choosing Lost Wild Adventures to do Sri Lanka with was one of the best decisions I’ve made! This trip is definitely one for the books! From the moment I arrived in Sri Lanka I received a very warm welcome from Amy (the brains and beauty behind it all!), and I knew that this would be an amazing trip.

The itinerary itself was packed with adventure and relaxation. If you want to step out of your comfort zone; this trip is definitely for you. You’ll experience many things from sunrise to sunset hikes, watching Elephants in their natural habitat, learning to surf, immersing yourself in culture and falling in love with Sri Lanka (and its people!).

Our guide Shri was very knowledgable, kind and sweet. He will teach you many things about Sri Lanka- you can definitely tell how passionate he is about his country. Shri also became the group’s professional photographer and he delivers amazing pictures. So don’t worry about your instagram cause it’ll definitely be covered 😂.

I honestly loved every bit of my experience with Lost Wild Adventures and I will happily do it again! I have left with lifelong friends thanks to Amy and the Lost Wild Adventures family! 💕

How to sum up the most amazing two week Lost Wild Adventures in Sri Lanka. The trip is action packed with so many new experiences even for a seasoned traveller; from visiting a tea plantation (and picking tea leaves like a local), to whale watching, to elephant safaris, riding the idyllic train to Ella and learning how to surf on the stunning beaches of Mirissa. There’s also the party nights (so much fun!) and the early morning hikes to watch the sunrise over the picturesque landscapes of Sri Lanka.

Our tour guide Shri went out of his way to accomodate the group (and to take a million and one photos for us) and to share the history, sights and flavours of Sri Lanka.

The accomodation was great (and the jungle stays are extra special with the private outdoor showers). We also had a private spacious coach throughout the trip.

Finally, a big thanks to Amy (who was on the trip with us!) for putting this tour together and for making not only her dreams but our dreams come true 😊

Going on the 12 day trip to Sri Lanka with lostwild adventures was my first experience of a group travel and it couldn’t have been any better. I was lucky to meet Amy, the person behind it all and she is just one of the sweetest persons I have met in a long time. She plans her trips with a lot of passion and puts all her love into making the trip one you’ll never forget. 🥰

It was a perfect mix between adventure, culture, relaxing and exploring local nightlife.
We chased sunrise and sunset, took the blue train to Ella, went surfing hiking & dancing and tried the famous Kottu. Just to name a few activities included. 🌅🌊🏄🏻‍♀️

I think this is the perfect trip for everyone who would like to explore the world but rather share those memories with others than going by themself. You will definitely leave with lifelong (international) friends 🌍💕

If anyone is thinking of booking a trip with lostwild adventures, you NEED to do it! I had the best group trip with these guys, Amy and Shri were our tour guides and they made everyone feel so welcome and were both so amazing with all of us. They made us all feel like we known each other for years, it really was like a family.

I did the Sri Lanka 12 day trip and the whole trip was amazing from start to finish, and sooo much fun with the group. I can't say how much it was worth every penny for this holiday and whole experience. Absolutely everything was included too, I have never had that on group trips before, I didnt have to pay for one activity at all, I couldn't believe it!

The people make the trips great and LostWild Adventures makes it seamless so we do not have to worry about anything through out the entire trip.

Going on my first LW tour in Bali was the highlight of my year! I’ve since gone on to do another one in Greece and will continue to do more.
The tours offer everything you could want from action packed days to down time around the pool. The smaller group sizes mean you get to know everyone well and are guaranteed friends for life.

I joined Amy and the rest of the Lost Wild team on one of their first tours to Bali & the Komodo Islands last summer. Being honest I was a bit worried about what to expect as the company didnt have a lot of photos and seemed really new, but I can confirm I had an absloute blast. I can not put into words how amazing the Komodo Islands part of the tour was, I was a bit worried about living on a boat for 3 days while we sailed around the islands, but it was the best travel experience I have ever had, we seen the Komodo dragons and swam with so many turtles and tropical fish. The food on the boat was the best I had throughout Indonesia.

I have another tour coming up to Sri Lanka with Lost Wild as the group were ace and activities were spot on!
