Lostreturns is terrible

My wife left her wallet on a Budget rental car at Chicago O’hare and we called them after returning to our home country. The only way we could do was to file a lost item report with Lostreturns. After waiting several days, we finally got an email from Lostreturns saying that the item was not found, but an hour later to our surprise another email came saying that the item was recovered. And we were offered the option to have it FedEx to us for $73.5. After paying with credit card we got an error message saying we should contact the customer service. We did through both calls and emails, but couldn’t get anybody to answer what was wrong. We then got another email again saying the item has been recovered. So I tried again paying with credit card and the same error occurred. Then I realized a few days later that both times my card was charged, but we still didn’t know if the item will be returned to us. And while we keep calling the customer service, we continue to receive emails saying the item has been recovered and we could pay to have it returned to us. This service is clearly a scam and unfortunately my credit card company refused to do anything about it and there was no other recourse we could take to get our money and more importantly the wallet back.

Tampa Enterprise should do better

Husband left his cell phone in side pocket of rental car. I called approximately 15 minutes after it was returned. Enterprise would not connect me with the Tampa location to speak with an actual person. Security line was too long for us to return to rental car as Tampas airport is set up very inconveniently with having to take 2 teams and a long escalator to get to. I have filed three claims and spoke with countless people to get nowhere! Tampa has not updated the list and found website for 8 days. All the airports seem to update daily. I understand it’s a customers responsibility to maintain their belongings, however Enterprise should do better. I will no longer rent from enterprise after this experience due to their lack of concern for their customers

They want $40 to send me my government…

FRAUD. They want $37.91 to send my own government ID back to me. This show as a FEDEX fee of $37.91. A stamp is $.73 and FEDEX package under 1 lb is $10.70. This is textbook fraud (deception). They even it shows no fees to the company. Further they even brag about creating a “…new revenue stream” for companies that partner with them on their website. (Thanks Enterprise Rent a Car) Selling items back to owners at a profit!!! What a scam.

Good luck getting a lost item in an Enterprise rental car

Lost an item in a rental car, the rental car company uses Lostreturns website as the only way to retrieve my item. LostReturns.com website did not work properly on my phone, I used my home computer and was able to finally file a missing item report, and paid for priority overnight shipping to get my item back. The next 10 days were a nightmare, LostReturns sent me several automated calls every day that directed me to contact them with my item report number. I called multiple times over the next 10 days and nobody ever answered the phone, I left my contact info and report number as required and nobody ever called me back. Many times I couldn't even leave the info because the automated phone system said the "Voicemail Box Was Full". Miraculously I called an someone answered, they blamed the rental car company, which was not the case at all. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me. I'm not sure if I will ever get my item back.
