Hello Mahdi,

We would like to clarify that you paid £0 for delivery. The amount you mentioned are import duty and VAT fees charged by UK customs, which are the buyer’s responsibility. As clearly stated in our Shipping Policy, FAQs, and at checkout before order confirmation, these charges are not set or collected by us, but by your local government.

We understand these fees can be frustrating, but they are standard for international orders shipped to the UK. Unfortunately, no retailer outside the UK has control over them.

Good service!

The service is excellent, however, the sunglasses item I received is marked "Made in Japan" - fake(!?)

The “Made in Japan” mark is absolutely legitimate on certain Gucci models. Kering Eyewear, the group behind Gucci, produces part of its high-end collections in Japan, a country renowned for exceptional craftsmanship and advanced eyewear technology. This reflects premium quality, not counterfeit.

As noted clearly on the product page, at checkout, in our FAQ, and in our shipping policy (which you acknowledged during checkout), delivery takes 7 to 14 business days. Your order was placed 9 business days ago, and — as shown in the tracking link we provided in your shipping confirmation email — your parcel is already in Ireland, with FedEx, and due to be delivered very shortly.

We always do our best to communicate clearly and respond quickly — and we’re a small, independent business, which makes premature and inaccurate reviews particularly damaging.

Only If You Have The Time, LOTS of Time

I waited for over a month for my glasses. When I sent an email to inquire about my order, I received a response the next day informing me that my order had been cancelled, but without any explanation. I had to ask them for clarification before they told me that the glasses had been discontinued.

If the items are not in stock, be prepared to wait a very long time for your order, if you get it at all.

I would suggest ordering from someone else if you're looking to get them in time for a Christmas gift this year, it is June after all.

These details were communicated from the start and reiterated in our direct replies.

You were kept informed at every step — when the order was placed with the official supplier, when delays occurred, and when we were notified that the item had been discontinued. A full refund was issued immediately. We regret the inconvenience, but supplier availability and decisions are, unfortunately, beyond our control.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, had to pay DHL tax in order to receive my purchase (parcel)
£54 is a lot of money excluding my purchase
Never had to pay Tax for anything purchased online. Wishing I had bought from the main dealer, would have worked up cheaper

Thanks for your feedback.
Customs duties are clearly stated as the customer’s responsibility—both in our Shipping Policy and at checkout, where you actively ticked the box confirming "Duties not included – due upon delivery."

This follows EU directive 2017/2455, which states that import duties and VAT for cross-border purchases are to be paid by the buyer when goods enter a non-EU country like the UK.

These charges are assessed entirely by UK customs and are beyond our control.

Regarding pricing, our products remain significantly more affordable than official retailers—even when customs fees apply.

Excellent customer service

I approached this Tuscany based online store because their website stated that they still had the Persol 2803S 1144R5 sunglasses (in blue acetate with blue glasses) in stock. That version has been out of production for sometime, so one must browse the web to find the last samples still in a shop inventory somewhwere. Alas, i very quickly received a friendly e-mail with an apology. The last one had been sold and order #6610 had to be canceled . Highly automated online sales/order software updating the realtime inventory status is expensive and not all online shops have it. Which means that the website must be updated manually regularly, and during busy periods there may not be time to do that every night. I paid through PayPal, the customer service personnel refunded the total sum immediately and PayPal (who needs a few days for processing) has transfered the money back to my bank account in the past night. Because of this excellent service and communication i still grade LookerOnline 5 stars, even if the search for the out-of-production glasses needs to continue.
