Wholesale buyers should exercise extreme caution
I am the owner of an established U.S. e-commerce company and am sharing our direct experience with LOOCIO's wholesale program.
We communicated extensively with an individual identifying himself as Michael Carter, Wholesale Sales Manager for LOOCIO, using the wholesale email associated with LOOCIO's website. We negotiated a 5,000-unit wholesale order and received a Proforma Invoice and supporting documents.
On September 2, 2026, our company sent an authorized $1,509.84 ACH deposit toward the order. LOOCIO confirmed receipt of our payment on September 3 and told us the complete inventory required for our order was available.
Before we could create the Amazon FBA shipment, we needed basic product information that LOOCIO had agreed to provide, including UPC/GTIN information and a valid Amazon Transparency serial number. LOOCIO specifically told us the UPC information would be provided, but it never arrived.
After LOOCIO confirmed receipt of our money, communication stopped. We have sent multiple follow-up emails without receiving a response.
We have now escalated the ACH payment with our bank and are attempting to recover the deposit.
There were other issues that caused concern during our due diligence. The entity invoicing us, the ACH beneficiary, and public trademark records involved different business entities, and LOOCIO was unable to provide documentation resolving all of those relationships.
I also checked LOOCIO's retail website. At checkout, the site currently displays: "Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements." In our wholesale transaction, payment was likewise arranged directly by ACH rather than through an online checkout.
I cannot speak to anyone else's experience or state what LOOCIO's intentions are. I can only report what happened to our company. We paid a deposit, LOOCIO confirmed receiving it and having our inventory available, then failed to provide the information necessary to fulfill the order and stopped responding to repeated communications.
Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective wholesale buyers independently verify the seller, payment beneficiary, trademark/brand authorization, and fulfillment arrangements before sending funds, particularly by ACH or wire.
