Very Impressed with the service at London Cask Traders, they have always responded in good time and are very knowledgeable about the products. It has been good fun working with the team.

Mike at London Cask Traders was always very polite on the phone and was very easy to talk to. No pressure and no hassle came from the team when I was deciding what I wanted to do, just quick updates on what opportunities they had which I was very interested in hearing about. I'm pleased with the outcome and will continue to do business with them as I think they are very professional but also very relaxed in attitude, which suits me considering I don't know a lot about the industry but want to make solid investments.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with London cask traders and would like to thank Mark Biss for his help during my cask purchases. Looking forward to our next tour.

I am new to investing and I must say the team at London Cask Traders have been so helpful answering my numerous questions and have been very reassuring. I received the welcome pack and physical certificates just a few days after the payment which I was really impressed with. I am really looking forward to having a tour of the distillery in due course. Would definitely recommend London Cask traders if you are thinking of investing in whiskey.

Easy process from start to finish. Everyone in the team helped me along the way with any questions I had (and I had a lot!). Even after sale I had a few questions which the team were more than accommodating with. I am now looking at purchasing some more casks in the near future. Excellent sales pitch - poor after sales care once they have your money. Two work colleagues and I invested a considerable sum of money in a number of Irish and Scottish whiskey/whiskey casks in September 2023 and despite numerous (unanswered) emails and phone calls asking for updates on our purchases, they still have no idea where our casks are. Utterly shambolic.

When you buy a cask of Scottish whisky from London Cask Traders you assume they know who is selling it and where it is located. This doesn’t appear to be the case. Lesson learned, but how can this be right?!

My response to your reply Mark:

Meaningless platitudes, that’s all you’ve offered in your reply. Yes, I’ve finally been told verbally where my casks are, but almost 4 months later I have no evidence whatsoever to prove they are where your admin office say they are (I’m not saying they are lying, but I’m old enough and ugly enough to not take what people say at face value without something to back it up - especially when £50k is involved).

I only received a WhatsApp recorded message reply from B because of my original review here on Trustpilot. And in that same WhatsApp recording (which I still have) he asked me to remove this review….unbelievable. That’s not really the point of Trustpilot - that would make it ‘DoNotTrustpilot’!

I am still waiting for the application pack email from the bonded warehouse regarding my 6 casks of Irish whiskey.

As for saying I can call you, I have emailed you directly asking if we can talk one-to-one. No reply. I’ve copied you in on at least two of my emails to AA and you’ve not seen fit to step in and deal with my concerns. As I said, platitudes, to anyone reading my review. I wouldn’t recommend your business to anyone thinking of investing with London Cask Traders - in fact quite the opposite. Stay clear. Readers of this review should also be aware that sadly, I am not alone. Three of my work colleagues who invested at almost exactly the same time are experiencing the very same issues.

Simply not good enough.

Update as of 24 April 2024. I received notification that my casks had arrived at their intended bonded warehouse (I have since been to see the cask at Volpe & Costello). In addition, I also received the 'Certificates of Ownership'. While it took a great deal longer than I had anticipated for the whole process to be completed, I am now a satisfied customer.

UPDATED** Since this review the Managing Director got involved and helped push this along and within 8 weeks the cask was in it's location at a different warehouse (through no fault of theirs) and was registered in my name. Can't fault Oliver at all and he definitely made me feel a little more at ease about the process, he assured me that this was a rare incident and that it wouldn't happen again. I have also been designated a different Senior Account Manager named Billy who has also been amazing and between them managed to resolve this issue. Have since had a guide valuation and it seems to have progressed quite nicely. Decided to upgrade this from a 1 star to a 3 due to his help but not ignoring the initial issue.

After writing a 3* review back on July 24th I thought I'd write a follow up review downgrading to 1*.

So my review was submitted on July 24th. Funnily enough after complaining about a complete lack of after service I received an email a few hours later (coincidence?). This email gave me an update on my cask, even though after 4 months it still hadn't moved from it's original storage place. I was told that after my initial review they prioritised my e-mail but were planning on contacting me that day anyway, I was also told that their Director had tried to contact me that day and previously one of their Head of Portfolio Managers had tried to contact me on a number of occasions. Not one voicemail was left and not one e-mail was sent, considering a number of times they couldn't contact me.

I've left it a further 4 months after not being contacted and I decided to e-mail them again last week, (e-mail dated 15th November) and again have not received a reply. I'm hoping that after the success my last review had in getting some kind of response that this one will provide the same success. It's now been 37 weeks and I don't have a clue where my Cask is or what the hell is going on. I have money put aside for future investments as I'm convinced Whisky is a good purchase but I certainly won't be investing though London Cask Traders after this experience. Please do a bit of research before deciding to invest.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the Agent I spoke too ,there was constant contact at all times.
I am very happy with my investment and look forward to a continued working relationship.

I was initially ready to invest is wine for the long term but after doing a bit more reaserch I found whiskey would be a better choice, Ryan at London cask has been top notch in dealing with my inquiries... with the logistics and location of my casks I have no complaints. The certificates arrived within days and Ryan has kept me up to date as I'm a new client.
I have been offered a tour of the distillery which I've yet to do and shall when time allows. I can see myself investing more in the near future. Cheers.

I am based in Northern Ireland and really like an idea to start with something local.
I never invested in whiskey cask before but I am really excited to see how is it working and what money can we earn from it in 5 to 8 years.
The best of it - you do not need to sell it yourself.

Bought my first cask last week and the whole transaction process from day one to final purchase went so smoothly with great interaction and London cask traders put any concerns to bed all the way through

Really helpful and friendly company. I spoke with Mark a few months ago who answered all the questions I had. I was in the process of buying my first home so Mark allowed me time to sort that out and then got back in touch with me a few months later when I was ready to invest.

Payment was easy and I received a digital copy of my certificate of ownership by email on the same day and then a welcome pack + physical certificate in the post a couple days later.

Looking forward to my new journey of Cask investment with London Cask Traders.
