UK Loft Boarding Reviews 6

Company advertised loft boarding in Kidwelly. We are in Kidwelly and we received an email saying they don't apparently cover my area.

I queried this and responded to their email explaining we are in Kidwelly, but I never heard from them. False advertisement.

The surveyor sent had a good look at the loft and said we would receive a quotation that week. We had to chase this up more than once, only to find out that the surveyor stated that the loft could not be boarded, as the roof structure was not strong enough. The roof had just been strengthened, and signed-off by building control.

What is annoying is that there was no mention of this when they were on-site, or that they had any concerns. I feel this company has wasted our time and either do not have competent surveyors, or that they just cannot be straight with you to your face. Either way it raises concerns over the service offered. I would not recommend this business and suggest looking elsewhere.

We got a quote about a year ago from UKLB which they said has a two year guarantee on it. I was thrilled to find this out to actually be the case.

We have a very old house so couldn't use their raised loft system, so instead they have used the perlings and supporting walls to create a floating storage space.

The guys they sent were very efficient and clean, which was surprising considering our walls are lath and plaster and just dust generators. They set up dust sheets on the doors, cleaned up after themselves and made a very good job of it.

Just beware their finance option, as I was under the impression you can file for it at point of purchase but this isn't the case and it needs to be done several weeks in advance.

Regardless the loft looks great, and the new loft hatch is much better than having to drag a ladder out

Really pleased, these guys did a marvellous job, all done in a day. Paul the installer covered all our carpets with plastic before he started and when he left it was spotless. Great price and so happy now we have all this extra space. Highly recommended.

Really good experience from start to finish with this company. Everything done smoothly and efficiently, from initial advice and quote to timescales and quality of work. The boarding was carried out with minimum disturbance and the house was left clean. We're very happy with our newly boarded loft.

Spot on, a day and a half and we had a new loft hatch an insulated loft all boarded out. One of the lads (in his own time) came round in the evening to show us how to deploy the ladder correctly. The house was spotless. Came when they said they would. Great firm to deal with, friendly and efficient.
