one issue - A little bit unclear instruction regarding returning car in Malpensa airport. Better to provide the clear route picture for airport area - how to reach the Locauto destination there not only wording. Google maps doesn't provide clear route

One way rental
This was a one way rental Milan to Civitavecchia. Locauto at the Milan is just the office. You will need to walk to the 5 minutes to pick up the car side. Other than this is was easy pick and drop off

24/7 car return, full coverage insurance less expensive than competitors, the quality of cars can improve to better and more reliable brands.
Nora in central station was excellent in customer service, made the first time process a breeze.

renting process was simple, returning was made easier with the help of david - advised us to pump petrol prior to returning else we'd have incurred much greater costs.

We had some problems with the reservation and the staff in the agency wasn't very helpful. I had full insurance and after the windshield had a crack in it, the assistance also wasn't very helpful dealing with this problem.

Directions on finding the rental car parking turned out to be confusing "behind the basketball courts". Instead just say "look for the Sixt signs on the right when you get to the basketball court, and enter the building all the way to the far back."
I mentioned this to the attendant and received a dismissive reply.
The car's fuel tank was not full, and had no spare-wheel, and when stating that the intended trip would cover 2000 km, got told that is the way it is in Italy. I requested a car with a spare-wheel, but was told it was not available. I said I was not happy with the situation, and the attendant told me " sir, no-one told you to come to Italy and rent a car". Perhaps not exactly a professional response?
The receiving staff in Salerno was very friendly and professional.

Both options comply fully with legal and safety requirements in Italy, and the specific setup depends on the vehicle's manufacturer and model specifications.
We are truly sorry for the frustration this situation caused and for how it was handled at the counter. We value your feedback as it helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a much better experience in the future.
