2 out 3 staff lovely, shockingly bad return instructions
Desk staff not the most welcoming but staff who gave us key and contract and on return more friendly. Shockingly bad instructions on how to return the car. I noticed and took a photo of a random A4 notice on the desk with black & white picture with instructions to use bus lane! this is incorrect and will send you into bus/taxi lane which once entered you can't get out so I will no doubt receive a fine in the future with their admin fee on top. A money making scheme?? :-(
If you do use, on return, head to P2 Executive parking, do not go in there, use the next exit from the roundabout, no barriers and go up to floor 5.

Excellent experience with Locauto at Linate Airport. The check-in and check-out process was incredibly fast and smooth, making the whole rental experience hassle-free. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful from start to finish. It's always a pleasure when customer service is this good. Highly recommended, and I will definitely rent from Locauto again on my next trip to Milan!

Hired a 9 seater VW Caravelle from Milan Linate Airport for our trip around the Dolomites. It drove well enough, but it would be much easier for tourists to have an automatic vehicle. Would also have been helpful to have been verbally guided about tolls and major road rules. Other than that, all good.

Terrible service
The attendant was incredibly rude; we needed to change the driver, but he said it wasn't possible and instead offered a car that was four times more expensive. Upon returning the vehicle, there was a scratch, and we were charged an amount practically equal to a new rental—it was outrageous; a buffing job would never cost that much. Extremely disappointed with Locauto.

Overall, the rental process went smoothly, and the lady at the return desk was very kind and professional. My only disappointment was that I booked an Audi A3 but received a Peugeot 2008 instead. When I asked about it, I was told that customers rent a vehicle category, not a specific model. I understand that, but in that case the category description should better explain that different body styles and vehicle types may be assigned. This would help avoid misunderstandings and better manage customer expectations.
